Objective: To systematically review the development and changes in mental health policies within the National Outline for Children s Development in China from 1992 to 2030, providing a reference basis for future formulation of mental health policies among children and adolescent in China. Methods: Based on the four editions of the National Outline for Children s Development in China across different periods from 1992 to 2030, word frequency analysis was used to reveal shifts in policy priorities, and an internationally recognized framework for adolescent health policy analysis was applied to conduct a textual review. Results: Word frequency analysis revealed that the term "psychological" appeared 6 times in the National Outline for Children s Development in China (2001-2010) but increased to 20 times in the National Outline for Children s Development in China (2021-2030) (abbreviated as the National Outline of 2021), while the term "health" rose from 4 times in the National Outline for Children s Development Plan in China in the 1990s to 68 times in the National Outline of 2021. The scope of mental health policy interventions expanded to encompass five key areas:health, safety, education, welfare and legal protection. Textual analysis highlighted that the policies of the National Outline for Children s Development in China were demand driven, prioritized vulnerable groups and continuously broadened their coverage, emphasizing sustainability and appropriateness, and monitoring/evaluation mechanisms. By 2023, 42.3% of primary schools and 64.8% of secondary schools employed full time mental health education teachers. However, the National Outline for Children s Development in China lacked direct evidence of children and adolescents participation in policy formulation, and publicly available mental health data disaggregated by age and gender remained limited. Conclusion Mental health policies of children and adolescents in China have evolved from nonexistence to gradual refinement, yet institutionalized channels for youth involvement in policy development and evaluation remain insufficient, and transparency in age and gender specific mental health data needs improvement.

Objective: To investigate the influencing factors for cognitive function among aluminum workers, so as to provide the basis for intervention and prevention of cognitive function among aluminum-exposed populations. Methods: From July to August 2019, male aluminum workers in the electrolytic aluminum workshop of an aluminum factory in Shanxi Province were selected using the cluster sampling method. Demographic information, prevalence of chronic diseases, lifestyle behaviors, night shifts, and sleep quality were collected through questionnaire surveys. Blood aluminum levels were measured using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. Cognitive function was investigated using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. Factors affecting cognitive function among aluminum workers were analyzed by a quantile regression model. Results: A total of 142 aluminum workers were surveyed, including 57 workers aged 20 to <40 years (40.14%) and 85 workers aged 40 to 60 years (59.86%). The median blood aluminum level was 38.23 (interquartile range, 21.82) μg/L. The median cognitive function score was 24.00 (interquartile range, 3.00) points. Quantile regression analysis revealed that older age (βQ5=-0.186, 95%CI: -0.269 to -0.102), lower educational level (βQ5=1.933, 95%CI: 1.029 to 2.838; βQ10=1.743, 95%CI: 0.480 to 3.006; βQ50=1.038, 95%CI: 0.141 to 1.935; βQ75=1.006, 95%CI: 0.437 to 1.575; βQ90=1.111, 95%CI: 0.291 to 1.930), smoking (βQ5=-2.056, 95%CI: -3.264 to -0.849), alcohol consumption (βQ5=-1.821, 95%CI: -3.247 to -0.396) and higher blood aluminum level (βQ5=-0.075, 95%CI: -0.110 to -0.040; βQ10=-0.078, 95%CI: -0.127 to -0.029; βQ50=-0.075, 95%CI: -0.110 to -0.040; βQ75=-0.057, 95%CI: -0.079 to -0.035; βQ90=-0.067, 95%CI: -0.099 to -0.035) were associated with cognitive function decline among aluminum workers. Conclusions Educational level and blood aluminum level are the main factors affecting the cognitive function among aluminum workers. Among those with lower cognitive function scores, age, smoking and alcohol consumption are also associated with cognitive function.

Bacterial biofilms can make traditional antibiotics impenetrable and even promote the development of antibiotic-resistant strains. Therefore, non-antibiotic strategies to effectively penetrate and eradicate the formed biofilms are urgently needed. Here, we demonstrate the development of self-propelled biohybrid microrobots that can enhance the degradation and penetration effects for Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms in minimally invasive strategy. The biohybrid microrobots (CR@Alg) are constructed by surface modification of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii (CR) microalgae with alginate lyase (Alg) via biological orthogonal reaction. By degrading the biofilm components, the number of CR@Alg microrobots with fast-moving capability penetrating the biofilm increases by around 2.4-fold compared to that of microalgae. Massive reactive oxygen species are subsequently generated under laser irradiation due to the presence of chlorophyll, inherent photosensitizers of microalgae, thus triggering photodynamic therapy (PDT) to combat bacteria. Our algae-based microrobots with superior biocompatibility eliminate biofilm-infections efficiently and tend to suppress the inflammatory response in vivo, showing huge promise for the active treatment of biofilm-associated infections.

Background Some studies have suggested that exposure to multiple metals is closely linked to the development of metabolic syndrome (MS) in the populations, but the effect of aluminum exposure on MS remains unclear. Objective To analyze the prevalence and influencing factors of MS among employees with aluminum exposure in Shanxi Province. Methods Cluster sampling was employed to survey male frontline workers in an aluminum factory in Shanxi Province. Data on general demographic information, lifestyle, occupational history, medical history, and family history of chronic diseases were collected through questionnaires. The concentration of fasting blood glucose was determined using the glucose oxidase technique, and blood lipid levels were determined using the peroxidase method. Serum aluminum levels were detected using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and blood biochemical indicators were measured using the peroxidase method. Based on the China's 2020 diagnostic criteria for MS, the participants were and divided into an MS group anda non-MS group. Variables with statistical significance in univariate analysis were included to construct a logistic regression model. Results A cohort of 312 workers participated in this research, with 84 individuals diagnosed with MS, yielding a prevalence rate of 26.92%. The logistic regression model revealed that body mass index (BMI)≥24.0 kg·m⁻² (OR=1.967, 95%CI: 1.057, 3.659), alcohol consumption (OR=1.883, 95%CI: 1.063, 3.336), experiencing major life event (OR=3.886, 95%CI: 1.509, 10.008), family history of hypertension (OR=2.112, 95%CI: 1.162, 3.837), serum aluminum concentration (OR=1.024, 95%CI: 1.012, 1.035), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) level (OR=1.032, 95%CI: 1.011, 1.054), and white blood cell (WBC) count (OR=1.210, 95%CI: 1.001, 1.465) were significant influencing factors for MS. Conclusion BMI≥24.0 kg·m⁻², alcohol consumption, experiencing major life event, family history of hypertension, elevated serum aluminum concentration, increased ALT level, and elevated WBC count are risk factors for MS among occupationally aluminum-exposed workers.

Objective: To investigate the changes in the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and let-7e in rats induced by coal mine dust, so as to provide the basis for the mechanism of coal worker's pneumoconiosis (CWP). Methods: Sixty-four clean and healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the control group, coal dust group, mixed dust group (mixed coal and silica dust) and quartz group. The rats in the control group were exposed to 1 mL physiological saline by non-exposure tracheal perfusion, and the rats in the dust-exposed groups were exposed to 1 mL dust suspension. Rats were sacrificed by anesthesia after 1 month and 6 months, lung tissue was observed using hematoxylin-eosin staining, the pathological change in the lungs was scored using the Szapiel scoring system, the levels of IL-6 in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and the expression of let-7e was determined by quantitative real-time PCR. Results: A month after exposure, a small amount of coal spots and inflammatory exudation were observed in the lung tissue of the coal dust group and the mixed dust group. The quartz group showed tissue structure destruction and mild fibrosis and thickening of alveolar septum. Six months after exposure, there were more coal spots and slightly thickened alveolar septum in the coal dust group, and hyperplasia of pulmonary interstitial fibers, destruction of alveolar structure and silica nodules were observed in the mixed dust group. In the quartz group, the alveolar structure was obviously destroyed, the interstitial fiber proliferation was significant and silica nodules were seen. Two-factor analysis of variance showed that the interaction between duration of exposure and dust type significantly influenced the pathological score of lung tissue, IL-6 levels, and let-7e expression levels (P<0.05). Under the same dust type, the pathological score of lung tissue and IL-6 levels were higher at 6 months after exposure than at 1 month, while the relative expression of let-7e was lower at 6 months after exposure than at 1 month (all P<0.05). Under the same duration of exposure, the pathological score of lung tissue and IL-6 levels were higher in the dust-exposed groups than in the control group, while the relative expression of let-7e was lower in the dust-exposed groups than in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusions Coal dust can cause an increase in levels of IL-6 and a decrease in let-7e expression in rats. The type of dust and duration of exposure can interactively affect IL-6 and let-7e.

Objective:To explore whether the degree of skeletal muscle atrophy in obese individuals under the influence of colorectal cancer is more severe than that in non-obese individuals.Methods:The clinical data of patients who underwent radical resection of colorectal cancer in our department from Jul 2020 to Dec 2021 was collected. Sixty-four obese patients were included and 64 non-obese patients were matched according to propensity score. At the same time, 51 obese patients were collected from non-tumor patients and matched with 51 non-obese patients. The psoas muscle index (PMI) of included patients was analyzed and compared.Results:The PMI of patients with colorectal cancer was significantly lower than that of corresponding non-tumor patients, regardless of gender and body weight (both P<0.05). The PMI of obese patients with colorectal cancer was significantly lower than that of non-obese patients ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The impact of colorectal cancer on skeletal muscle atrophy in obese individuals is greater than that in normal weight individuals. Therefore, the skeletal muscle status of obese patients with colorectal cancer should be evaluated more comprehensively.

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathological features,immunophenotype,molecular changes,differential di-agnosis,treatment and prognosis of the micropapillary subtype of serous borderline tumor(MSBT)in the ovary.Methods The clinical and pathological data of 14 cases of ovarian MSBT.Im-munohistochemical EnVision staining was used to detect the ex-pression of IMP3.BRAF and KRAS mutations were detected by qRT-PCR and Sanger sequencing,respectively.Its clinical and pathological characteristics were analyzed with review of relevant literature.Results The age of the patients ranged from 27 to 56 years,with mean 41.7 years.Nine cases had bilateral ovari-an masses.Preoperative serum CA125 increased in 11 cases.On gross examination,the cut section was cystic and solid with intracystal papillae.Microscopically,all cases showed a papilla-ry structure,with the characteristic elongated micropapillae radi-ating directly from the cyst wall or large unbranched papillae.The length to width ratio of the papillae was greater than 5.The cells covering the papillae were cubic to polygonal.Mild to mod-erate atypia was noted with a range of＞5 mm in the micropapil-lary area.Five cases had microinvasion.Six cases had non-in-vasive peritoneal seeding.Five cases were accompanied by asci-tes,and atypical tumor cells were observed in ascites.Three ca-ses had lymph node involvement.Nine cases had psammoma bodies.Immunohistochemically,the tumor cells were positive for ER,PR,CA125,CK7 and WT-1;p53 was wild type,HER2 and IMP3 were negative,and Ki67 was positive in 5％to 30％.KRAS mutations were detected in 3 of 14 cases,inclu-ding G12C,G12D and Q70(nonsense mutation).No BRAF V600E mutation was detected,and 1 case had BRAF T559I mu-tation.Seven patients underwent radical surgery and 7 patients underwent conservative surgery without special treatment after surgery.Five patients had a history of recurrence,and the fol-low-up time ranged from 1 to 12 years.Conclusion MSBT has special morphology,often bilateral,and is prone to peritoneal implantation and recurrence.It should be distinguished from classical ovarian serous borderline tumor.

Objective:To investigate the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of anaphylactic shock and to evaluate the effectiveness of existing treatments, so as to improve the understanding of anaphylactic shock and to properly manage patients with anaphylactic shock.Methods:A retrospective observational study was conducted to select 63 patients with anaphylactic shock who were diagnosed and treated in Peking University First Hospital from July 2017 to June 2023 as the study objects, and the clinical data including basic information, present medical history, vital signs, past medical history, emergency treatment measures and prognosis were collected, and the causes, clinical manifestations and emergency treatment measures of anaphylactic shock were descriptively analyzed.Results:The causes of anaphylactic shock in 63 subjects could be divided into drug allergy (50.79%), food allergy (15.87%), blood product allergy (11.11%), others (3.17%), radiotherapy (1.59%), strenuous exercise (1.59%), hemodialysis (1.59%), and the triggers in 9 cases (14.29%) were unclear. The clinical manifestations can be abnormalities of the skin, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system and urinary system, among which the most common skin manifestations are wheal rash, itching, redness and swelling (79.37%), the most common manifestation of the respiratory system is dyspnea (30.16%), and the highest proportion of cardiovascular manifestations is blood pressure lower than 90 mmHg or baseline blood pressure drop of 30 mmHg (100.00%). The most commonly used therapeutic drugs were epinephrine (49.2%), glucocorticoids (69.8%), antihistamines (52.4%), vasopressors (12.7%), and others.Conclusion:The causes of anaphylactic shock are different, and the clinical manifestations are complex and diverse, and the condition can be severe and life-threatening. Clinically, attention should be paid to the early and accurate identification of high-risk patients, the prevention of anaphylactic shock, and the timely taking of corresponding measures to protect the life safety of patients once anaphylactic shock occurs. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are key to managing anaphylactic shock.

The neuroimmune mechanism of rosacea has not been fully elucidated, and it is believed that the innate immune system, immune cells, immune regulation, neuroimmune system, signaling pathway abnormalities and microbial dysbiosis are involved in the progress of the neuroimmune mechanism of rosacea. This article reviews the neuroimmune mechanism of rosacea.
