1.A case of nasal malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2013;27(5):276-277
The 52-year-old female patient complained of persistent and progressive obstruction in left nasal cavity for more than 1 years. A grey, hard and smooth tumor with telangiectasia, were seen plugged in left post-nostrils and nasopharynx. CT scanning showed a tumor in the left nasal cavity. Post-operational pathologic diagnosis was peripheral nerve sheath tumors of nasal cavity.

2.Identification of Metronidazole Tablets by Infrared Spectrophotometry
China Pharmacy 2001;0(08):-
OBEJECTIVE:To establish a rapid and exclusive method for the identification of metronidazole tablets.METHODS:The infrared spectrophotometry was adopted,in which the recrystallization was carried out with the dehydrated alcohol as the solvent and with the highly pure potassium bromide tabletting as the infrared absorption spectrum.RESULTS:The infrared absorption spectrum of the metronidazole tablets was completely in conformity with that of the control substance and the standard spectrum of metronidazole issued in Infrared Spectrum Album of Drugs by State Pharmacopoeia Committee.CONCLUSION:This method is specific, fast and accurate, which can be used for the identification of metronidazole prepa-rations.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2013;(34):6110-6115
BACKGROUND:The biopsy material induced by foreign body is autologous tissue, which, in theory, avoids the role of immune rejection and destruction faced by non-autologous implants. This biology advantage has no way to comparison by synthetic and de-cel ular materials.
OBJECTIVE:To explore a biotube consisting of autologous cel s and extracel ular matrix and to evaluate its structure and mechanical features.
METHODS:The biotubes were prepared by embedding silicon rods as a mold intraperitoneal y. Specimens were analyzed by mechanical tests, histological observation and superficial study.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:It was easy to excite the biotubes prepared by embedding silicon tube
intraperitoneal y. The biotube mainly included col agen-rich extracel ular matrices and myofibroblasts appearing as elongated cel s with circumferential or longitudinal orientations. At 1 month of embedding, the wal was 70-250μm in thickness and had burst strength of (1 100±187) mm Hg (1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa), with perfect sewability. The biotubes, which possess the ability for wide adjustments in their shapes, are composed of autologous cel s and extracel ular matrices, and are an ideal graft for tissue engineering because they avoid immunological rejection and have sufficient mechanical strength.

Objective To explore the application of heteroscedastic time series model to the analysis of data of infectious diseases. Methods ARIMA and AR-GARCH models were used to fit the incidence of gonorrhea. Results The time series in this study, which was heteroscedastic significantly, finally was well fitted by AR(1)-GARCH(0,1) model through model selecting. Conclusions AR-GARCH model is suitable for analyzing heteroscedastic time-series data of infectious diseases.

Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 1998;0(01):-
Objective To analyze the descending trend of maternal mortality ratio (MMR) and its related influencing factors in order to improve the descending speed of MMR. Methods The influencial factor analysis and u test were made on data collected from 232 rural counties of eight provinces in China. Results MMR had shown remarkable reduction from 1995 to 2000, a drop by 51.33%. However, there was still a gap if compared with the ratio of the whole country. Major causes influencing the descending speed of MMR include the high speed of economic development, more expenditure of health, quality of maternal service, such as the ratio of hospital delivery, cleaning delivery, prenatal and postnatal health care. Conclusion In order to accelerate the descending speed of MMR, attempts to increase the improvement speed of maternal health care, quality of maternal service and more expenditure of health should be made.

ObjectiveTo explore the clinical manifestations of infant cytomegalovirus infection in different age. MethodThe clinical data of 237 infants who suffered from cytomegalovirus infection was analyzed retrospectively and divided into three groups: 0-3 months old (77 cases, group A) ,4-6 months old ( 65 cases , group B ) , 7-12 months old ( 95 cases , group C ). ResultsThe incidence of respiratory infection was the highest among all infectious organs in three groups, the numbers of patients who had wheeze in group A was less than that in the other two groups[24.7%(19/77) vs. 61.5% (40/65), 61.1%( 58/95 )](P < 0.01 ).The incidence of jaundice decreased gradually as the babies grew up[23.4%( 18/77 )→7.7%(5/65 )→1.1%( 1/95 )](P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in diarrhoea and bleeding among three groups (P>0.05 ). The proportion of alanine aminotransferase], aspartate amino transferase increasing was similar among three groups, but gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) was different, the proportion of GGT increasing was 77.9% (60/77) in group A which was higher than that in the other two groups[10.8% ( 7/65 ), 2.1% ( 2/95 )].Granulocytopenia in group B was obviously decreased compared with the other two groups (P < 0.05 ), anemia was easily occurred in group C (P < 0.05 ). ConclusionThe injury of cytomegalovirus infection may be related to month old.

The special trichrome stain and immunocytochemical stain were used to show neurites, Schwann's cells in cultured pe-ripheral nerve tissue. The dorsal root ganglia(DRG) of rat were cultured on polypyrrole membrane for 2 weeks. Then, the cul-tured speciments were stained by special stain, which was composed of hematoxylin, fast green FCF. ehromotrope 2R and phos-photungstic acid; or by immunocytochemical stain with anti-S-100 protein and anti-neurofilament antibodies. In the specialtrichrome stained specimen the long processes from DRG were stained aquamarine blue; part of the cell nuclei on the processes orpolypyrrole membrane were stained red or purplish red, and the cytoplasm ashen. We testified that the long processes from DRGwere neurites and the cells which were purplish red nuclei and ashen cytoplasm were Schwann's cells in immunocytochemicalstain. The special staining could differentiate neurites and Schwann's cells in cultured peripheral nerve tissue.

Objective To evaluate the value of high resolution MR imaging (MRI) with diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in the preoperative diagnosis of rectal cancer. Methods 55 patients with rectal cancer may underwent high resolution MRI examinations before surgical operation, and with DWI (b=600, 1000 s/mm2). The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of the tumors were measured. The image findings were compared with pathology. Select 15 patients without rectal lesion, ADC value of the tumors and normal rectal wall were measured. Results High resolution MRI diagnosis rectal cancer sensitivity, specific degree and coincidence rate were 95.7% (45/47), 50.0% (4/8), 89.1% (49/55), high resolution MRI with DWI diagnosis colorectal cancer sensitivity, specific degree and coincidence rate were 100.0 % (47/47), 75.0 % (6/8), 96.4 % (53/55). The high resolution MRI tumor T-staging agreed with the histological stage that was 88.9% (40/45), the diagnosis of T2 stage was 87.5 % (14/16), the diagnosis of T3 stage was 89.6 % (26/29). The same b-valued under the ADC values of rectal cancer tumors and the normal rectal were different (P <0.05). No correlation can be pointed out between ADC and pathological classification of each tumor. Conclusion High resolution MRI with DWI for the rectal cancer preoperative diagnosis and T-staging has higher diagnostic accuracy, DWI can serve as an important supplement sequence of colorectal cancer diagnosis.
