Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant form of glioma, and its treatment through traditional surgery combined with chemotherapy and radiotherapy has limited efficacy. Chimericantigen receptor T-cells (CAR-T) are recombinant receptors for antigen, which, in a single molecule, redirect and mediateantigen recognition, T-cell activation, and, in the case of second-generation chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) costimulation (CD28 or 4-BB), augment T-cell functionality and persistence. CARs are the focus of attention in emerging treatment options for GBM. This article mainly introduces the development process of CAR-T therapy and the recent success of adoptive transfer of CAR-T cells. Effective targets of the treatment of GBM with CAR-T according to this research are discussed as well. Some of the most extensively studied targets on GBM, especially interleukin-13 receptor α chain variant 2, epidermal growth factor receptor-Ⅷ(EGFRⅧ), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (ErbB2), and ephrinA2 receptor (ErbA2), and the different characteristics of each kind of alloantigen-specific CAR-T cells, are the basis for CAR-T therapy and indicate their different characteristics or utilities and the prospect of further clinical research. The discovery of selective expression of interleukin-13 receptor alpha 2 in glioma cells more than 20 years ago prompted the clinical trial of CAR-T therapy in stage I GBM tumors, and the therapy was proven safe and effective. EGFRⅧ is a neoantigen presenting only in cancer cells and glioblastoma stem cells. Its presence is correlated with poor prognosis, and a phase Ⅰ/Ⅱ trial is ongoing at different institutes. ErbB2-specific CARs were also expressed in human Tcells.Adoptive transfer of EphA2 (or ErbB2)-specific T cells resulted in the regression of glioma xenografts. Thus, target-specific CAR-T immunotherapy may be a promising approach for the treatment of different target-positive GBM. Finally, we summarize the application value and challenge of CAR-T cell therapy in the treatment of GBM.

Objective The clinical features of elderly patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) were atypical and these patients were often misdiagnosed as having paralytic ileus. The clinical presentations of elderly patients with SAP whose first diagnosis as paralytic ileus were analyzed. Methods 18 patients of elderly SAP who were misdiagnosed as having paralytic ileus were included and the clinical data were compared with 58 elderly patients with SAP. Results Among the misdiagnosis group, the first symptom onset were fleus, abdominal distension, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea for 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1 case, respectively. Among SAP group, the first symptoms onset were 2, 31, 9, 3, 11, 2 cases, respectively. For misdiagnosis group, 13 cases were correctly diagnosed by CT scan, 3 cases by ultrasound and 2 cases by serum amylase test. For SAP group, 32, 15, 11 cases were diagnosed by CT scan, ultrasound and serum amylase, respectively (P < 0.05). 4 and 13 patients died in misdiagnosis and SAP group, respectively; among these 13 patients, 10 were female and 3 were male. Conclusions The elderly patients with paralytic ileus should consider the possibility of SAP, and CT scan was valuable for correct diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of tissue and blood long noncoding RNA(lncRNA) detection in the patients with hepatocellular cancer(HCC).Methods The HCC tissue sample, blood sample, suspected HCC puncture sample and blood sample from the persons undergoing healthy physical examination were selected for conducting the study. The six lncRNAs which were more than 5-fold expression amount were picked out in the 338 transcripts with abnormal high expression. The expression amount of lncRNA AK057037 in HCC tissue and serm tissue was detected by using the real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and in situ hybridization. Then the results were statistically analyzed. Results The six lncRNAs were highly ex-pressed in the tissues and blood of the liver cancer, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Compared with healthy people, the relative expression of AK057037 in the tissues and blood of the liver cancer increased significantly, and the relative expression level in tumor and paracancerous tissues was statistically significant(P<0.05).As the tumor progresses, the relative expression of AK057037 was further enhanced. There was a higher relative expression in advanced liver cancer especially, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of the receiver operating characteristic curve showed that the area under curve of AK057037 was 0.834(95% CI 0.705-0.918)in the blood specimen, and its diagnostic efficiency was better than that of commonly used nucleic acid marker miR-29a.Conclusion lncRNA AK057037 is highly ex-pressed in HCC sample and blood, and can be used for clinical detection of HCC.

During coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic, the treatment of severe trauma has been impacted. The Consensus on emergency surgery and infection prevention and control for severe trauma patients with 2019 novel corona virus pneumonia was published online on February 12, 2020, providing a strong guidance for the emergency treatment of severe trauma and the self-protection of medical staffs in the early stage of the epidemic. With the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council renaming "novel coronavirus pneumonia" to "novel coronavirus infection" and the infection being managed with measures against class B infectious diseases since January 8, 2023, the consensus published in 2020 is no longer applicable to the emergency treatment of severe trauma in the new stage of epidemic prevention and control. In this context, led by the Chinese Traumatology Association, Chinese Trauma Surgeon Association, Trauma Medicine Branch of Chinese International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, and Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Traumatology, the Chinese expert consensus on emergency surgery for severe trauma and infection prevention during coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic ( version 2023) is formulated to ensure the effectiveness and safety in the treatment of severe trauma in the new stage. Based on the policy of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council and by using evidence-based medical evidence as well as Delphi expert consultation and voting, 16 recommendations are put forward from the four aspects of the related definitions, infection prevention, preoperative assessment and preparation, emergency operation and postoperative management, hoping to provide a reference for severe trauma care in the new stage of the epidemic prevention and control.
