Objective: To explore the effects of Qingshi Cream, a compound traditional Chinese herbal medicine, on chronic dermatitis-eczema in mice induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB). Methods: Thirty BALB/C mice were randomly divided into vaseline group, 0.1% mometasone furoate cream group and Qingshi Cream group. Right ears of BALB/C mice were repeatedly challenged with 0.1% DNCB every three days for five times and previously sensitized with 7% DNCB to induce chronic dermatitis-eczema. Mice in different groups were applied Qingshi Cream, 0.1% mometasone furoate cream and vaseline respectively after each challenge. Weight difference of two ears, pathological change of right ear and dermal inflammatory cell number were used to assess the effects of the drugs. Results: After the 5th challenge, weight differences of two ears in the 0.1% mometasone furoate cream group and the Qingshi Cream group were significantly decreased as compared with that in the vaseline group. Changes such as ear swelling thickening and cellular infiltration in dermis were observed, and these features seemed to be more significant in the vaseline group as compared with the 0.1% mometasone furoate cream group and the Qingshi Cream group. Conclusion: Qingshi Cream has an obvious effect in treatment of chronic dermatitis-eczema in mice.

BACKGROUND: Endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs) transplantation exerts beneficial impact on angiogenesis of impaired tissues caused by ischemia. However, whether this impact is related to the paracrine effect of ECFCs needs to be studied further.OBJECTIVE: To detect the cytokine secretion profile of human umbilical cord blood derived-ECFCs conditioned medium (ECFCs-CM) and explore the effect of ECFCs-CM on the proliferation, migration and tube formation ability of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs).METHODS: Human cord blood derived-ECFCs were isolated, cultured in vitro, and then identified based on the previous studies. The cytokines in serum free ECFCs-CM were detected using a cytokines antibody array. HUVECs were cultured with ECFCs-CM, serum free EBM-2 as control. The proliferation, migration and tube formation abilities of HUVECs were examined by cell counting kit-8, scratch test and Matrigel assay, respectively.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The cultured cells demonstrated typical characteristics of ECFCs, which showed cobblestone appearance and were positive for CD34, KDR and CD144, but not CD45 or CD133, uptook Dil-acLDL and bond FITC-UEA-I, and tube-like structures were formed on Matrigel. The cytokine antibody array showed that ECFCs-CM significantly upregulated the expressions of 30 kinds of angiogenic factors. Compared with the control group,the HUVECs cultured with ECFCs-CM showed significantly improved proliferation ability at 24, 48 and 72 hours (P <0.01). The migration rate of HUVECs in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group at 12 and 24 hours (P < 0.01). There were more tubular structures in the experimental group than those in the control group (P < 0.05). These results indicate that ECFCs can promote the bioactivity of mature endothelial cells through paracrine action.

Objective To investigate the clinical forensic assessment on cases of suspected medical malpractice and the other related aspects concerning the assessment in clinical forensic expertise. Methods Clinical data from 25 cases expertized for suspicion of medical malpractice were retrospectively analyzed. Results 16 cases were due to the medical muff (10 cases of 16 medical muff had a bad consequence and happened in the department of operation, 6 cases had not ones); 9 cases were non-medical muff. Conclusion Though the medical muff recognized is basic, but the relationship between the medical muff and the following bad results of medical muff is the best key for the forensic expertise. Otherwise, the scientific and practical value must be considered in the forensic expertise.

Objective To investigate the number changes of the ribbon synapses(RS) in the inner hair cell of C57BL/6J mice with age .Methods The cochlear basilar membrane was obtained from C57BL/6J mice in 2 ,6 ,10 , 12 months old .RIBEYE on the presynaptic membrane and AMPA receptor on the postsynaptic membrane were double labeled by immunofluorescence histochemical technique .The stained sections were observed under a confocal laser-scanning microscope .Then the number of RS of the basilar membrane was calculated by three dimensional reconstruction images using 3DS max software .Results The numbers of RS reduced gradually from the cochlear a‐pex to base in the same developing stages .The numbers of RS in apex and middle turn of cochlea were gradually re‐duced with the age increasing .The number of RS in basilar turn reduced first and increased slowly then .Conclusion The decreases of the number of RS maybe the main pathological change at the early stage of presbycusis .In addi‐tion ,there may be a kind of compensatory mechanism by increaseing the number of RS to delay the hearing deficits .

Objective To explore the clinical significance of a series of cytokines and peripheral blood immunocyte subsets before and after immunosuppressive therapy in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).Methods The percentages of immunocyte subsets in the peripheral blood of 20 patients with ITP and 20 healthy controls were detected by flow cytometry,including CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD1~.ELISA was applied to detect the level of serum TNFα,IL-2,IL-6,IL-4,IL-10,IL-11,IL-17,IL-27,transforming growth factor β (TGFβ),thrombopoietin (TPO) of 20 patients with ITP and 20 healthy controls.Results The percentage of CD3+ T lymphocyte,CD4+ T lymphocyte and the ratio of CD4+ / CD8+ T lymphocyte in patients with ITP were lower than those in healthy controls [(62.66 ± 6.58) ％ vs (69.93 ± 4.81) ％,(29.46 ± 5.02) ％ vs (39.08 ± 3.50) ％,0.97 ± 0.35 vs 1.56 ± 0.26,all P ＜ 0.05].After immunosuppressive therapy,the percentage of CD3+ T lymphocyte,CD4+ T lymphocyte and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ T lymphocyte [(71.49 ±5.16)％,(39.25 ±3.21)％ and 1.56 ±0.28] recovered to the same levels in healthy controls.The percentage of CD8+ T lymphocyte and CD19+ B lymphocyte in patients with ITP were higher than those in the healthy controls [(30.28 ±4.63)％ vs (25.90±3.06)％,(18.92 ± 4.27)％ vs (13.17 ± 3.64)％,all P ＜ 0.05].After treatment of immunosuppressive therapy,the percentage of CD8+ T lymphocyte and CD19+ B lymphocyte [(25.16 ± 3.45) ％ and (11.98 ± 3.68) ％] recovered to the similar levels in healthy controls.The serum levels of IL-4,IL-6,IL-11,IL-17 and TPO in patients with ITP were significantly higher than those in healthy controls.While TGFβ level was significantly decreased.There was no significant difference of IL-27 between ITP patients and healthy controls.After the treatment of immunosuppressive therapy,IL-4,IL-6,IL-11,IL-17,TPO and TGFβ were down-regulated while IL-27 was up-regulated.There was no significant difference of IFNγ,TNFα,IL-2 and IL-10 among ITP patients before or after immunosuppressive therapy and healthy controls.Conclusions The present study suggests that the aberrant immunocyte subsets and cytokines are involved in the pathogenesis of ITP.Hyper-function of Th2 and Th17,dysfunction of Treg cells,up-regulation of IL-27,IL-11,TPO and other factors may contribute to the pathogenesis of ITP.

Objective To investigate the role of IL-11 and CTGF in bone metastasis of breast cancer.Methods A total of 180 pathologically confirmed breast cancer patients in Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital were enrolled,90 of which had bone metastasis.Twenty healthy people who took physical examination at the same period were adopted as controls,excluding those with endocrine or metabolic disease or other chronic diseases.Peripheral blood samples were collected and ELISA was employed to detect IL-11 and CTGF expression.Forty paraffin-embedded breast cancer tissue sections from those with bone metastasis and forty tissue sectioned from those without bone metastasis were detected for IL-11 and CTGF expression with immunohistochemisty.Results Serum IL-11 level was (242.9 ±56.3) μg/L in the group with bone metastasis and (85.9 ± 35.7) μg/L in the group without bone metastasis,with a significant difference (F =43.532,P ＜0.01).Serum level of CTGF was (15.6 ±7.4) μg/L in the group with bone metastasis and (15.0 ± 7.0) μg/L in the group without bone metastasis,with no significant difference (F =3.007,P ＞ 0.05).The rate of positive immunohistochemical staining for IL-11 in the group with bone metastasis (57.5％) was significantly higher than that in the group without bone metastasis (14.3％) (x2 ＝ 36.626,P ＜ 0.01).There was no significant difference in the positive rate of CTGF expression between the group with bone metastasis (17.5％) and the group without metastasis (14.3％) (x2 =0.370,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions IL-11 expression is correlated with bone metastasis of breast cancer.Breast cancer patients with high IL-11 expression are more prone to develop bone metastasis.

In order to find out the social attitude towards euthanasia and related issues,we conduct a questionnaire investigation on medical staff,patients,medical school students,and community groups in Beijing.From the survey,we find out that there is a relatively high degree of awareness of euthanasia,and the different attitudes for euthanasia are relevant to the educational backgrounds and professional backgrounds.In addition,by analyzing the mentality of people talking about the death,we find out that people with a healthy outlook on life and death are more inclined to agree with active euthanasia.

Methods Human cord blood derived-ECFCs were isolated and identified based on the previous studies. The cytokines in ECFCs-CM were detected using a cytokines antibody array. HDFs were cultured with ECFCs-CM,using serum free EBM-2 as control. The proliferation of HDFs was examined by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)and the migration was assessed by scratch test assay. The apoptosis of HDFs was detected by flow cytometry. Results The cells isolated from human cord blood demonstrated typical characteristics of ECFCs. The cytokines antibody array indicated that ECFCs-CM contained large amounts of secreted cytokines such as PDGF-BBand EGF. Compared with the control group,the HDFs cultured with ECFCs-CM showed improved proliferation and migration ability. The number of apoptotic cells was smaller than that of the control group under the environment of serum starvation. Conclusion ECFCs-CM can promote the proliferation and migration of HDFs and inhibit the apoptosis of HDFs under the environment of serum starvation.

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combining with temperature sensitive point moxibustion therapy on laryngeal cough with yin-deficiency of lung-kidney. Methods:Divided 80 patients into test group and control group. Each included 40 people. The test group adopted the therapy by acupuncture kaiyin 1,Tianrong point,combining with temperature sensitive point (this point ofen appears in Yongquan Point Branch) moxibustion therapy,and the control group took the Western medicine conventional treatment. Then calculated the total effective rates of the two groups and analyzed statistically. Objective To explore the effect of follow-up nursing intervention on preventing dental plaque during oral fixed orthodontic appliance.Methods One hundred and twenty orthodontic patients receiving oral fixed orthodontic treatment were randomly divided into control and experiment groups equally according to visit time.The control group received conventional nursing during the process and follow-up nursing intervention during the process.The two groups were compared in terms of dental plaques before orthodontic, 3 and 6 months after the orthodontic treatment.Results Before the treatment, there was no significant differences in the dental plaques between them(P>0.05), but the indices of dental plagues in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group 3 and 6 months after the orthodontic appliance(P<0.001).Conclusion Follow-up nursing care during orthodontic appliance are more effective for keeping oral hygiene.
