3.Biodegradable AZ31 magnesium alloy stent in rabbit aorta:degradation time and effect
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(30):4456-4462
BACKGROUND:Stent implantation is a common treatment for various cardiovascular diseases. Biodegradable AZ31 magnesium al oy stent is a new kind of biodegradable stent, but its degradation time and effect are stil rarely reported. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the degradation time and effect of AZ31 magnesium al oy stent in the rabbit aorta. METHODS:Twenty New Zealand white rabbits were subjected to implantation of biodegradable AZ31 magnesium al oy stents into the abdominal aorta. After implantation, the animals were grossly observed, and five animals were sacrificed under anesthesia at 1, 2, 3 and 4 months respectively for X-ray and histological observations. The number of residual struts was calculated under microscope. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:X-ray findings showed that the implanted stent was found to be in complete form at 1 month after implantation, and its degradation was elicited at 2 months, indicating the stent lost its supporting role gradual y. The stent was degraded mostly at 3 months and degraded completely at 4 months. After implantation, the degradation rate of the stent was increased over time, which was confirmed by the X-ray findings. The number of residual struts was correlated with the time of degradation (r=-0.943, P<0.05). The slope of the linear regression equation was-0.12, based on which, the total time of the stent degradation was calculated to be 105 days. These results show that the AZ31 magnesium al oy stent implanted in the rabbit aorta is gradual y degraded with time, and the number of its residual struts exhibits an association with the degradation time. Given that the average number of degraded struts per day is 0.12, the complete stent is expected to be degraded within 105 days after implantation.

Objective To observe the displacement of endotracheal tube during laparoscopic surgery, explore whether pneumoperitoneum and body position are associate with the displacement. Methods A total of 120 female patients were included in this study,60 cases underwent gynecological lapa-roseopic operation as group A,and 60 cases had laparoscopic cholecystectomy as group B.Intrabdominal pressure was maintained in 13 mm Hg during the operation. The length of trachea(Lac),the length from carina to the tip of an endotracheal tube(Lab),the length from glottis to the tip of an endotracheal tube (Lbc)and the cuff pressure (Pc)were measured after endotracheal intubation (T1 ),insufflation in the su-pine position (T2 ),insufflation in the Trendelenburg or reverse Trendelenburg position (T3 ),30 minutes after insufflation in the Trendelenburg or reverse Trendelenburg position (T4 ),deflation in the Trendelen-burg or reverse Trendelenburg position (T5 ),deflation in the supine position (T6 ).Results In both groups,Lac and Lab at T2-T4 were significantly shorter than those at T1 (P<0.05),but they were back to the original level at T5 ,T6 .Pc were higher at T2-T4 (P<0.05).Lac,Lab and Lbc didn’t show significant difference between the two groups at T1-T6 .At T2 and T3 ,in group B endotracheal tube distorting occurred in 2 patients and tube into right bronchus occurred in 3 patients, while tube into right bronchus occurred in 3 patients in group A.Conclusion Pneumoperitoneum can cause endotracheal tube displacement to-ward to carina.Body position unlikely to change endotracheal tube position. The displacement was blocking by cuff could cause distorting of the tube.
6.The Theoretical and Empirical Study on the Demand of Rural Medical Services Based on Gravity Model
Chinese Health Economics 2014;(1):14-16
Objective: To study the influencing factors of the rural medical service demand. Methods: The gravity model of medical service demand was derived based on Individual utility function and profit objective function of medical institutions, and the data regression examine model of some county-level and district-level hospital were used. Results: According to the research, the main factors influenced the quantity of medical services come from medical supplies. With the increase of resident disposable income, the elasticity of demand for medical services decreased, while visiting distance of elasticity of demand for medical services increased. Conclusion: To increase the accessibility of medical service, it needs to set meeting the resident’s personal demand as the center, to promote the development of private hospitals. The scale of large hospitals should be limited so as to lead large-scale hospitals to separate low value-added medical services and to promote effective implementation of the treatment classification system.

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(5):712-715,719
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xuebijing injection ( XI) for the treatment of septic myocardial injury, and to study the possible therapeutic mechanism. Methods Thirty-nine qualified septic myocardial injury patients were randomly divided into XI group (N=24) and control group (N=15) . Both groups were treated with conventional therapy, including anti-inflammation treatment, transfusion for resuscitation, nutritional support, symptomatic and supportive treatment, and supportive treatment for keeping vital organ function. XI group was given intravenous drip of XI based on the conventional therapy. Before and after treatment, the peripheral blood concentrations of myocardial-specific isoenzyme of creatine kinase (CK-MB), cardiac troponin I (cTnI), brain natriuretic peptide ( BNP) and plasma calcitonin ( PCT) were detected, and the changes of electro-cardiogram ( ECG) were also observed. The mortality within 28 days was compared between XI group and the control group. Results ( 1) After treatment, cTnI, BNP and PCT concentrations in XI group were decreased significantly as compared with the control group, and there was statistical significance (P <0.05) . However, the decrease of CK-MB was not obvious in XI group ( P>0.05 compared with the control group) . ( 2) The difference of ECG was insignificant between the two groups after treatment ( P>0.05) . ( 3) The 28-day mortality was 8.33% in XI group, and was 13.33% in the control group, the difference being insignificant between the two groups (P>0.05) . (4) During the treatment, none case had adverse reaction. Conclusion XI can improve the myocardial injury, and relieve inflammation of septic myocardial injury patients.
