ObjectiveTo explore the effects and significance of acetazolamide on the expression of aquaporin-4(AQP4) of gastric mucosal in rats with endotoxemia. Methods30 SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: Sham operated control group( Control group) ,endotoxemia group( EDT group) and acetazolamide group( ATL group). The immunohistochemistry was used to assess the expression of the AQP4 in the gastric mucosal tissues. The serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-1 β(IL-1β) levels in each group were measured by radioimmunoassay. ResultsThe expression of AQP4 and the levels of serum TNF-αt and IL-1 ββ in EDT group were higher than those in control group( P < 0.01 ). After the ALT treatment, the expression of AQP4 and the levels of serum TNF-α and IL1 β in ALT group were lower than those in EDT group( all P <0.01 ) and the expression of AQP4 in the gastric mucosal tissues in ALT group was also lower than those in EDT group( P <0.01 ). ConclusionThe raising of AQP4 expression and increasing of serum TNF-α, IL-1β take part in the progress of gastric mucosal injury in rats with endotoxemia. ALT could protect the gastric mucosal tissues by lowering the AQP4 expression and reducing the levels of serum TNF-α and IL-l β.

Objective To obtain and identify dendritic cell (DC) from mouse bone marrow in vitro. Methods Recombinant mouse granulocyte and macrophage colony stimulus factor (GM-CSF) induction was used to induce mouse bone marrow cells to form dendritic cells in vitro. The morphological changes were observed with light inverted microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). CD11c, MHCⅡ, and CD86 were identified with flow cytometry. The biological function was studied with antigen phagocytosis test and mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR). Result The cultured DC from mouse bone marrow displayed the typical morphological characteristics of DC. Immature DC, which had high expression in CD11c and low expression in MHCⅡ and CD86, could phagocytize antigen. Mature DC, which had high expression in CD11c, MHCⅡ and CD86, could stimulate allogenic mixed lymphocyte proliferation. Conclusion DC can be generated from mouse bone marrow cells through cytokine induction in vitro and be used for further study associated with DC.

ObjectiveTo study the effects of intermittent subglottic secretion drainage(SSD)with an endotracheal tube on incidience of ventilator- associated pneumonia(VAP). MethodsWe searched computerized databases, including Cochrane library,Pubmed,EMbase,CBM,CNKI,Wanfang and some relevant databases from initializing to March 2012,extracting data about subglottic secretion drainage(SSD)with an endotracheal tube on incidence of VAP using RCT.The data had Meta- analysis by software RevMan5,and to those data which could not be conversed or merged, they underwent descriptive analysis. ResultsWeidentifled 5 randomized clinical trials that met the inclusion criteria with a total of 683 randomized patients. In Meta- analysis, the overall risk ratio for ventilator- associated pneumonia was decreased significantly by intermittent subglottic secretion drainage with an endotracheal tube. There was no significant difference on adverse events or on hospital or intensive care unit mortality.Databases, including ICU and hospital LOS,duration of endotracheal catheterization, bacteria concentration, which were difficult to be conversed and obtained full data, they underwent a descriptive research. ConclusionsCompared with the common endotracheal tubes, the use of endotracheal tubes with subglottic secretion drainage is effective for prevention of ventilatorassociated pneumonia. But it has no effect on adverse events or on hospital or intensive care unit mortality. So large sample RCTs with multiply- center should be carried out to assess the effect of the use of SSD.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1994;0(03):-
This study was undertaken to compare the effects of acute hemodilution (AH) induced separately by three solutions on blood properties and hemodynamics. Sixty-six patients, ASA grade Ⅰ to Ⅱ, aged 18 to 54 years, having open heart surgery with fentanyl-pancuronium anesthesia, were acted as subjects. During the induction of AH, blood 10-12ml?kg~(-1) was drawn from internal jugular vein in each subject, as Ringer's lactated injection (RL) at equivalent volume was infused intravenously, afterwards, all subjects were randomly allocated to being intravenously infused with RL at a dose of two times as many as the blood volume drawn (BVD) (group RL), Haemaccel 35 (R35) (group H35) or hydroxyethyl starch (Hes) (group Hes) at a dose equal to BVD, respectively. All patients were observed for 30 mins following the status of AH. The results showed that plasma colloid osmotic pressure was descended markedly in these three groups, but more significantly in group RL immediately after induction of AH, and was kept at low level in group H35 and RL and continued to decrease in group Hes during AH. The hemodynamic values of these three groups were within normal range during whole procedures. Prothrombin time and activated partial thrombin time were prolonged in each group, but within normal range. No anaphylactic reactions occured in all subjects. It is suggested that H35 can be applied more safe to acute moderate hemodilution in clinical anesthesia.
