[Objective] To research the progress of traditional Chincse medicine in the treatment of cancer-relatcd sweating.[Methods]Search the relevant literatures on the treatment of cancer-related sweating in the last 20 years at home and abroad,from the etiology,pathogenesis,treatment methods,pharmacology,mechanism of action,clinical remission rate to review.[Result] Compared with modern medical treatment,traditional Chinese medicine treatment significantly improved the clinical remission rate and quality of life of patients with cancer-related sweating through the method of syndrome differentiation and the flexible administration way,the side effects were also very small.[Conclusion] Traditional Chinese medicine treatment plays an important role in the treatment of cancer-related sweating,which provides new ideas and methords for prevention and treatment.It is worthy of clinical application and popularization in the treatment field.

BACKGROUND:Acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) possesses good effects on vascularization and osteogenesis.But whether aFGF can promote the vascularization in animals with early-stage avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH) remains unclear.OBJECTIVE:To investigate the vascularization of aFGF composited by partially depreteinized bone (PDPB) in repair of early-stage ANFH.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed in the College of Life Science,Nanhua University between January 2008 and January 2009.MATERIALS:Ribs from healthy,adult,New Zealand rabbits were prepared into PDPB by a series of physico-chernical methods including degreasing,deproteinization,partial decalcification and freeze drying,aFGF diluted with sterile distilled water was composited by PDPB particles to prepare artificial composite bone.METHODS:A bone window was made at the juncture of femoral head and femoral neck bilaterally in 24 healthy,adult,New Zealand rabbits.Rabbit models of bilateral ANFH were established by removing approximately 50% of cancellous bone and perfusion with 95% ethanol.Successful bilateral ANFH models were randomly divided into a blank group,a simple PDPB group,and an artificial composite bone group.PDPB and artificial composite bone were implanted into the PDPB and artificial composite bone group accordingly.The blank group did not receive any implantation.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:At 2,4,and 8 weeks after surgery,ink-injected specimens were prepared for microvessel count and microvessel area analysis.RESULTS:Microvessel number and microvessel area were least in the blank group,followed by simple PDPB group,and lastly the artificial composite bone group.There was significant difference in microvessel number and micrevessel area between artificial composite bone group and blank,simple PDPB groups (P＜0.05).CONCLUSION:Tissue-engineered artificial bone composited by aFGF and PDPB promotes vasculadzation in repair of earlv-staqe ANFH in rabbits.

BACKGROUND: Previous studies have demonstrated that acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) combined with partially deproteinized bone (PDPB) (aFGF/PDPB) well promotes avascularization in animals with early-stage avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH), but the histological results remain unknown.OBJECTIVE: To observe the histological repairing effects of aFGF/PDPB on early-stage ANFH in rabbits. METHODS: New Zealand rabbits were established models of bilateral ANFH and were randomly divided into a blank group, a simple PDPB group, and an aFGF/PDPB group. PDPB and aFGF/PDPB bone were implanted into the PDPB and aFGF/PDPB group accordingly. The blank group did not receive any implantation. At 2, 4, and 8 weeks after surgery, all animals were sacrificed for histological examination to observe the osteogenesis by hematoxylin-eosin staining.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Defects were filled with granulation tissues and fibrous connective tissues, only a little osteoid tissue formed at the borderline in the blank group at the end of the 8th week. In the PDPB group, a little new bone and cavitas medullaris formed. At 8 weeks, lots of graft was absorbed and cavitas medullaris formed with more osteoplasts and myeloid cells in it. The osteogenesis in the aFGF/PDPB group was better than that of PDPB group in each time point. At 4 weeks, the transplanted cavity was filled with osteoid tissues, a lot of osteogenic precursor cells and osteoblasts could be seen. Plenty of micrangium was observed, and osteoid tissues began to rebuild. At 8 weeks, the graft was replaced by bone tissues, and cavitas medullaris were formed with lots of bone marrow cells in it. At the borderline of the bone trabecula, there were lots of osteoplast and little osteoclasts, which may play a role in bone remodeling. There were mature bone cells in bone lacuna. Results indicate that aFGF/PDPB has better repair effect on rabbit model of ANFH than that of simple PDPB.

Objective To survey small dense low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(sdLDL-C)distribution among different popula-tions,and analyze its relationship with lipid component.Methods 986 cases of people who underwent medical examination in the hospital were recruited in the study.There were 654 people with normal concentrations of serum blood lipids(normal blood lipids group),according to sex and age they were divided into groups.The people whose serum lipids concentrations increased above the normal range were divided into TG increasing group,LDL-C increasing group and joint increasing group according to the type of lip-ids componet increased.Serum sdLDL-C,LDL-C,TG,TC,HDL-C,ApoAⅠ and ApoB were determind in the people mentioned a-bove,and the correlation between sdLDL-C and TG,TC,HDL-C,ApoAⅠ,ApoB concentrations were analyzed.Results SdLDL-C began to decline after the age of 70,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05 );the ensemble average of the males was higher than that of females,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The serum sdLDL-C cocentrations of all the serum lipis increasing groups were significantly higher than those of normal blood lipids group,the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05 ).SdLDL-C concentrations were positively correlated with TC,TG,ApoB(r =0.254,0.589,0.302),and was negative correlated with HDL-C and ApoA Ⅰ (r = - 0.421,- 0.275,- 0.311 ).Conclusion There was a positive correlation between sdLDL-C and TC,TG,ApoB,and sdLDL-C was negatively correlated with HDL-C,ApoAⅠ,which can accurately reflect the overall status of lipid metabolism.

Objective To study the efficacy of sacral nerve stimulation combined with tolterodine in patients with female idiopathic overactive bladder (IOAB).Methods A total of 200 female patients diagnosed with IOAB from January 2005 to January 2011 were included in the study,and according to random number table method were divided into treatment group and control group with 100 cases in each.Each group was divided into 3 subgroups according to urinary frequency and urgency,urge incontinence,and both of them together.In the treatment group,patients received percutaneous sacral nerve stimulation and tolterodine 2 mg orally,1 time/d,while in the control group,only given tolterodine 2 mg orally,1 time/d,treatment for 3 months.The voiding diary and urodynamics parameters were observed between the two groups before and after treatment and application of self-rating depression scale (SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) to evaluate the psychology of concomitant depression and anxiety score.Results After treatment,the average number of urination,daily average unit urine,the single biggest urine and urine feel capacity (FDV),the maximum capacity of the bladder pressure (MCBC),maximum urinary flow rate (Qmax) in two groups were improved,and the daily average unit urine,single biggest urine and FDV,MCBC,Qmax in treatment group after treatment were higher than those in control group [daily average unit urine:urinary frequency and urgency (248 ± 46) ml/times vs.(150 ± 77) ml/times,urge incontinence (249 ± 69) ml/times vs.(144 ± 81) ml/times,both of them together (247 ± 69) ml/times vs.(170 ± 46) ml/times; the single biggest urine:(320 ± 87) ml/times vs.(212 ± 44) ml/times,(315 ± 65) ml/times vs.(211 ± 56) ml/times,(333 ±59) ml/times vs.(201 ±66) ml/times;FDV:(176 ±64) ml vs.(142 ±44) ml,(190 ±69) ml vs.(142±55) ml,(188 ±60) mlvs.(138 ±49) ml;MCBC:(265 ±46) ml vs.(203 ±50) ml,(288 ±48) ml vs.(197 ± 41)ml,(287 ± 43) ml vs.(189 ± 44) ml],there were significant statistical differences (P ＜ 0.01).The SDS and SAS scores were reduced in two groups after treatment,and the SDS and SAS scores in treatment group after treatment were significantly lower than those in control group [SDS scores:urinary frequency and urgency (33.0 ± 6.2) scores vs.(44.0 ± 5.9) scores,urge incontinence(31.1 ± 6.2) scores vs.(41.6 ± 6.1) scores,both of them together(33.4 ± 7.2) scores vs.(44.5 ± 5.0)scores;SAS scores:(30.3 ± 4.4) scores vs.(41.3 ±4.4) scores,(33.3 ±5.8) scores vs.(42.5 ±6.4) scores,(31.9 ±4.7) scores vs.(43.5 ± 5.6) scores],there were significant statistical differences (P＜ 0.01).Conclusions The combined treatment of tolterodine and sacral nerve stimulation can not only improve the voiding dysfunctions symptoms but also the concomitant depression and anxiety in patients with female IOAB,thus improving the patient's quality of life.

Objective To explore the relationship between folic acid levels of cord blood and birth weight, hyaline membrane disease in newborns. Methods Eighty-seven newborns were divided into premature infant group(42 cases) and term infant group(45 cases),intrauterine growth retardation group( 28cases) and control group (59 cases), hyaline membrane disease of premature infant group ( 13 cases) and premature infant control group(15 cases) according to the gestational age, birth weight, clinical manifestation and chest X-ray, respectively. Folic acid levels of cord blood were measured. Results The folic acid level of cord blood in premature infant group was lower than that in term infant group [(10.87 ±4.31) nmol/L vs.( 13.56 ± 5.07) nmol/L,P ＜0.05 ]. The folic acid level of cord blood in intrauterine growth retardation group was lower than that in control group [(11.01±4.29)nmol/L vs.( 14.87 ± 5.14)nmol/L,P＜0.05]. The folic acid level of cord blood in hyaline membrane disease of premature infant group was lower than that in premature infant control group [(9.15 ±4.02) nmol/L vs.(12.91±4.51) nmol/L,P＜0.05]. The positively correlation was found between the folic acid level of cord blood and birth weight in newborns (r =0.1825).Conclusion The folic acid level of cord blood is correlated with the occurrence of premature infants,intrauterine growth retardation and hyaline membrane disease in newborns.

Objective: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) with three frequencies (100 Hz, 2 Hz, and 2 Hz/100 Hz) on the apoptosis of neurons and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway in the hippocampus of rats with vascular dementia (VD), and explore the mechanism of EA intervention for VD. Methods: Fifty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a model group, a sham operation group, a 100 Hz EA group, a 2 Hz EA group, and a 2 Hz/100 Hz EA group, with ten rats in each group. The VD model rats were established by repeated ischemia-reperfusion of bilateral common carotid arteries. The rats in the EA groups received EA intervention at Baihui (GV20), Dazhui (GV14), Geshu (BL17) and Zusanli (ST36), once a day for 14 d. Afterward, Morris water maze was used to examine the learning and memory performances of the rats in each group, hematoxylin-eosin staining to observe the histomorphological changes in the hippocampal CA1 region, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling to test the apoptosis of neurons in the hippocampal CA1 region, and Western blot to detect the protein expression levels of JNK, phosphorylated JNK (p-JNK), Caspase-8, and Caspase-3 in the hippocampus tissue. Results: Compared with the sham operation group, the escape latency of the model group in water maze test was prolonged; the number of crossing the original platform was decreased (P<0.01); the hippocampal neurons were severely damaged and the number of surviving neurons was decreased (P<0.01), whereas the number of apoptotic neurons was increased (P<0.01); the protein expression levels of JNK, p-JNK, Caspase-8, and Caspase-3 in the hippocampus were significantly increased (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the escape latency of each EA group was significantly shortened; the number of crossing the original platform was significantly increased (P<0.01); the damage of hippocampal neurons was alleviated, the number of surviving neurons was increased (P<0.01), and the number of apoptotic neurons was decreased (P<0.01); the protein expression levels of JNK, p-JNK, Caspase-8, and Caspase-3 in the hippocampus were decreased (P<0.01). The results in the 2 Hz EA group and the 2 Hz/100 Hz EA group were superior to those in the 100 Hz EA group. Conclusion: EA with the three frequencies (100 Hz, 2 Hz, and 2 Hz/100 Hz) can improve the learning and memory performances in VD rats subjected to ischemia-reperfusion, its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of neuronal apoptosis and the regulation of the related protein expression of JNK signaling pathway, and the intervention effects of EA with 2 Hz and 2 Hz/100 Hz are more significant.

To investigate the inhibitory effect of sildenafil on Caco-2 cell proliferation and its anti-inflammatory effect on menadione-induced NCM460 cell inflammation model, MTT assay was used to determine cell proliferation. Intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)and nitric oxide(NO)levels were detected by fluorescent probe. Western blot was used to detect the expression of eNOS/ERK/JNK pathway related proteins in Caco-2 cells and correlated inflammatory cytokines in NCM460 cells. The effect of sildenafil on the growth of two probiotics was determined by spectrophotometry. Results showed that sildenafil signi-ficantly inhibited the proliferation of Caco-2 cells and enhanced the expression levels of eNOS, p-eNOS, p-JNK1/2 and p-ERK1/2 proteins in Caco-2 cells; while after adding NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NAME), the expression levels of eNOS, p-eNOS, p-JNK1/2 and p-ERK1/2 proteins were significantly lower than those of the sildenafil group. Compared with the menadione group, sildenafil significantly reduced ROS levels in NCM460 cells and inhibited the expression levels of IL-6, IL-1β, p62, and TNF-α. Moreover, high concentrations of sildenafil had no obvious toxic effects on Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus rhamnosus. Thus, the results indicated that sildenafil could effectively inhibit the intestinal inflammatory response without affecting the balance of the intestinal flora, and prevent colorectal cancer by reducing the oxidative stress responses in the intestinal cells.

Objective:To analyze the molecular characteristics of Echovirus 11 (Echo11) strains isolated in Xiangyang, Hubei Province from 2016 to 2017 based on the sequences of VP1 gene.Methods:Rectal and throat swab specimens were collected from children with hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Xiangyang from 2016 to 2017. Echo11 strains were detected by real-time reverse transcriptase PCR (RT-PCR) and isolated after cultured in human rhabdosarcoma (RD) cells. The VP1 regions of Echo11 strains isolated from RD cells and the whole genomes of three representative Echo11 strains were amplified by conventional RT-PCR and the sequences were analyzed. DNAStar7.0 (MegAlign) and MEGA6.0 (Data) were used to analyze the homology and mutation sites in nucleotide and amino acid sequences. Neighbor-joining method was used to construct phylogenetic trees. Recombination analysis was performed with SimPlot software (BootScanning).Results:A total of 11 Echo11 strains were isolated from 3 494 HFMD cases, accounting for 0.31%. They were highly homologous in the VP1 gene. These strains shared 98.4%-100.0% homology in nucleotide sequences and 98.3%-100.0% homology in amino acid sequences. The homology between the 11 Echo11 strains and the prototype strain (Echo11/Gregory, X80059) was 73.9%-74.8% in nucleotide sequences and 87.7%-88.7% in amino acid sequences. All of the Echo11 strains circulating in Xiangyang were classified into lineage D, having a similarity to the strains circulating in some regions of mainland China since 2013. In multiple regions of the genome, the Echo11 strains isolated in Xiangyang were highly similar to the Henan Echo1 strains in 2010 and the Hubei Echo6 strains in 2015, suggesting there was recombination within the genome of Echo11 strains in Xiangyang.Conclusions:The Echo11 strains circulating in Xiangyang from 2016 to 2017 belonged to lineage D and were recombinant strains.

Objective To investigate the clinicopathologic characteristics and relevance of main and minor lesions of synchronous multiple early gastric cancers ( SMEGC) and gastric high grade intraepithelial neoplasia ( GHGIN) . Methods Thirty-two patients with SMEGC or/and GHGIN who were diagnosed and treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from July 2012 to September 2016 were enrolled in this study. Their clinicopathologic characteristics were summed up, and the correlation between main and minor lesions on the size, location, endoscopic classification, pathologic type, invasion depth and vascular invasion were analyzed. Results Among the 32 patients, with mean age of 66. 19±7. 46 years, 90. 62％(29/32) were male, 17 cases (53. 3％) had family history of gastric cancer, 25 (78. 13％) had smoking history, and 22 ( 68. 75％) were alcohol users. There were 30 cases ( 93. 75％) and 31 cases ( 96. 88％) with mucosal atrophy and intestinal metaplasia, respectively. The size of main and minor lesions showed a positive correlation (r=0. 4167, P=0. 018). The endoscopic classification of major and minor lesions had no statistical significant consistency ( P=0. 314 ) , but the pathologic type and invasion depth between major and minor lesions demonstrated a moderate significant positive correlation ( P<0. 05 ) . The comparison of location between the main and minor lesions did not show correlation. However, it showed a significant correlation between major lesion which on the upper 1/3 of stomach and minor lesion on the lower 1/3 of stomach ( r=0. 463,P=0. 003) . Further more, when the main lesion was at posterior gastric wall, the minor lesions on lesser curvature were increased, which showed a positive correlation( r=0. 417,P=0. 009) . Conclusion Old-age male with long-term smoking and alcohol history whose lesions combined with surrounding mucosa merger atrophy and intestinal metaplasia are considered as a high risk group in patients with SMEGC or/and GHGIN. Therefore, clinicians must keep high vigilant and make carefully observations on this group of patients during endoscopic examination, and consider the correlation between main and minor lesions to avoid misdiagnosis.
