1.Advances in the diagnosis of primary central nervous system lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2010;19(8):457-459
An extranodal lymphoma, primary central nervous system lymphoma(PCNSL) has rarely been reported. PCNSL is commonly classified as a primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma with pathology. The WHO classification of haematopoitic and lymphoid tissues(4th Edition, 2008) has listed primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma as a independent disease entity. Current clinical diagnosis of PCNSL is this article in reviewed.
2.Problems and solutions of nursing undergraduate education
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2006;0(11):-
Objective To investigate and analyze the problems of nursing undergraduate during clinical practice period, and to give improving measures and provide experiences for im-proving clinical teaching quality. Methods The study was carried out through anonymous inves-tigative questionnaire that included student group(n=98) and teacher group(n=22).Results The majority were satisfied with practice arrangement and teaching attitude.Forty four percent students thought that teaching methods should be improved. The major problems from the teacher's questionnaire were that students'basic knowledge needed to be strengthened and there were dif-ferent problems exsisting in studnets in different practice stage. Conclusions To give some im-proving suggestions with analyzing the questionnaires.
3.Surgical treatment of chronic pancreatitis
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2008;14(3):158-160
Objective To investigate the clinical manifestations of chronic pancreatitis(CP)and choice of the surgical therapy. Methods The clinicopathological and follpw-up data in 91 cases surgically treated in our hospital from January 1980 to January 2006 were retrospectively analyzed.Resuits The causes for CP were biliogenic one in 34 patients(37.4%),alcohol in 14(15.3%),iniury in 8(8.8%),acute pancreatitis in 14(15.3%)and idiopathic one in 20(22%).RelaPsing upper abdominal pain was the major symptom of CP.There were only two patients that were up with endoscopic sphincterotomy(EST)and the others were operated on.The operative morbiditv was 6.6%(n=6),and mortality 1.1%(n=1).Mean hospital stay was 17.7d.For the 9l patients with preoperative pain, the pain was relieved in 88.Conclusion The best operative procedure should be chosen for treatment of CP according to causes, clinical findings, imaging records and pathological examination.
4.Syncope and metabolic disorders in children
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2010;17(6):495-498
Syncope is a common pediatric emergency event, which can be caused by various metabolic disorders different from other illness. The major metabolic anomalies include hypoglycemia, hyperventilation, electrolytes imbalance, hypoxemia and others, in which hypoglycemia is caused by hyperinsulinemia, pituitary and adrenal disease, diabetes, ketotic hypoglycemia, inherited metabolic disorders of sugar, organic acids and amino-acids,etc. This article introduced the common metabolic anomalies and their causes, diagnosis and therapy.
5.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition in digestive system tumors
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(5):380-383
Recent studies show that tumor cells get rid of the connections between cells, and induce tumor invasion and metastasis through epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT).EMT becomes an important way to invasion, metastasis and chemotherapy resistance of epithelial cell carcinoma which accounting for more than 90% of malignant carcinomas.Members of Snail family, especially Snail is regarded as important adjustment factor of EMT,which induce the transformation from epithelial cell to mesenchymal phenotype through competitive inhibition E-calcium protein gene expression. Many researches show that EMT exists widely in digestive system tumors, which is closly related to the invasion, metastasis and chemotherapy resistance of digestive system tumors.
6.Advances in intravascular large B cell lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2010;19(3):187-190
Intravascular large B cell lymphoma is a rare subtype of diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Abnormal proliferation of intravascular lymphoma cells is its pathological feature with aggressive clinical behavior such as easy invasive feature, rapid disease progression, poor prognosis and low survival rate. We review the progress in recent research on classification, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of intravascular large B cell lymphoma.
7.Advances in relevant prognostic factors of primary central nervous system lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(11):694-696
Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare type of malignant lymphoma which originates in the central nervous system without spreading to other systems. It is more predisposable to immunodeficient individuals. However, an increase in the incidence of PCNSL has been also observed in the healthy population in recent years. PCNSL has short phase of clincal release, and easy to relapse with poor prognosis. Some studies have shown that relative prognostic factors were associated with age, performance status, the radiotherapy and chemotherapy modalities, the response to early adminstration of the glucocorticoid, tissue pathologic type and the molecular biologic marks.
8.Determination of Serum Tryptophan and Kynurenine in Pregnant Women
Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2006;0(02):-
[Objective] To establish a method for determination of serum tryptophan and kynurenine in pregnant women.[Method] RP-HPLC was applied to analysis.C18 column was used. The mobile phase was composed of methanol-0.001M KH2PO4(PH=4)(12∶88).The UV detection wave length was 245nm.[Results] The linear response ranged from 2.56~307.06?mol?L-1 for tryptophan, r=0.9999.The linear response ranged from 0.12~5.05?mol?L-1 for kynurenine, r=0.9997.The mean concentrations of serum tryptophan and kynurenine were 49.73?7.48?mol?L-1 and 0.74?0.33?mol?L-1 respectively in 30 pregnant women.[Conclusion] The method is sensitive and suitable for the determination.
9.Study on correlation of Twist,HIF-1?and HBx in primary liver cancer
Chinese Journal of Current Advances in General Surgery 1998;0(01):-
Objective:The study focused on detecting the expression of Twist,HIF-1? and HBx in primary liver cancer(PLC) and assessment their relativity. Methods:The expression of Twist,HIF-l? and HBx in 33 cases of PLC and thein paracancerous tissues were examinated with immunohistochemical location technique.Seventeen health control subjects were included in the study. Results:The incidence of Twist,HIF-1?and HBx expression was 93.9%,72.7% and 81.8% in 33cases of PLC,respectively. The positive percentage of Twist in paracancerous tissues was 54.5%.A significant difference was found between the expression of tumor and paracancerous tissures (P
10.Changes and significance of the circulating immunocomplexes in patients with recurrent uveitis
Recent Advances in Ophthalmology 2001;21(3):170-171
Objective To explore the changes and significance of the circulating immunocomplexes(CIC) in patients with chronic iridocyclitis. Methods We assessed circulating immunocomplexes in peripheral blood of 45 patients with recurrent uveitis and 42 healthy controls by PEG deposition with the biochemical analyzer to obtain levels of CIC different with recurrent uveitis. Results Levels of CIC were significantly higher in active patients(27.358±6.729)than those in controls(13.459±6.164,P<0.001) and inactive patients (16.248±6.233,P<0.001),but patients (inactive) had significantly higher levels than those in controls (P<0.05).Conclusion Levels of CIC were found in the groups of active patients with recurrent uveitis (27.358±6.729), but levels of CIC in inactive patients fell. The result of this study suggest that recurrence of uveitis is related to immunocomplexes, and changes in the levels of CIC could be also a measure standard of therapeutic effects.
