Objective To observe the clinical effects and the safety of S-adenosy-L-methionine ( SAMe ) associated with ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) in treating intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). Methods Eighty patients with ICP were randomly divided into treatment group ( treated with UDCA orally, 250 mg, TID and simultaneously with intravenous SAMe 1. 0 g, qd) and control group (treated with intravenous SAMe 1. 0 g, qd). Pruritus degree, serum total bilirubin (TB), total bile acid (TBA), glycocholic acid (CG), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were analyzed before and after the treatment, and the pregnancy outcomes, such as the rate of premature, uterine-incision delivery and fetal distress were recorded. Results After treatment, the pruritus degree and the levels of TB, TBA, CG, ALT AST were decreased significantly compared with pretreatment in both groups. TB, TBA, AST and ALT of the treatment group decreased from (27.83±9. 34), (45. 62±18. 30) μmol·L-1, (195. 98±30. 22), (188. 69±29. 11) U·L-1 to (11. 81±4. 91), (11. 88±2. 23) μmol·L-1, (73. 59±21. 53), (67. 94±30. 53) U·L-1, respectively, and TB, TBA, AST, ALT of the control group decreased from (27. 49±7. 87), (49. 12±10. 39) μmol·L-1, (211. 93±34. 9), (210. 40±43. 39) U·L-1 to (16. 08± 6.23), (23.88±6.63) μmol·L-1, (87. 20±32. 52), (81. 77±35. 16) U·L-1, respectively (P<0. 05). Compared with control group, improvements of liver function, the rates of premature delivery, fetal distress and uterine-incision delivery were not significantly different in the treatment group (P>0. 05), but the declines of TB, TBA and CG in treatment group were superior to those of the control group (P<0. 05). Conclusion In terms of improving pruritus, liver function and pregnancy outcome, single SAMe application could obtain similar effects compared with SAMe combined with UDCA, but SAMe combined with UDCA is more effective than the single SAMe application in decreasing the level of TBA and CG.

This study was aimed to quickly and accurately identify different origins and categories of commodity edible bird’s nest (EBN) using DNA barcoding technique, in order to reveal its genetic differences. The total genomic DNA was isolated from the EBN samples. And Cytb gene sequences were amplified and sequenced by PCR. Then, 32 sequences were aligned and analyzed with DNAStar and MEGA 6.0 software. NJ phylogenetic tree was constructed. The nearest distance was calculated. The results showed that the original species of 32 samples of EBN were identified.Aerodramus fuciphagus was the genetic origin of 23 white nest samples. AndAerodramus fuciphagus germaniwas the genetic origin of the other 8 samples. The origin of black nest sample wasAerodramus maximusorAerodramus maximus lowi. It was concluded that the genetic origin of different EBN categories was variant. The identification of EBN’s origin species with Cytb sequence was quick and accurate.

Glucose-6-Phosphatase (G6Pase) was regarded as a marker enzyme of the endoplasmic reticulum in a number of different cells. The purpose of this report is to study the localization of G6Pase activity in the rat left ventricular myocardial cells. G6Pase activity was found in the lumen of the nuclear envelope, the sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR) and the subsarcolemmal cisterns. The SR tubules between the adjacent myofibrils displayed characteristic distribution on their longitudinal profiles, as a curtain-like network, the tubules appeared to be tight network facing A-band, whereas tubules formed large polygonal meshes facing I-band. It is thought that the SR tubules facing A- and I-bands, respectively, represented an adaptation of SR to the selective shortening of the myofibrils at the I-band during contraction.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1957;0(04):-
Left ventricular myocardial hypertrophy was produced in the rats by ligation of the abdominal aorta below the diaphragm for seven weeks.Ultrastructurally, it was observed that the nucleus and nucleolus were enlarged, and the density of the chromatin of the hypertrophied myocardial cells was decreased. Free ribosomes and endoplasmic reticulum were increased. Golgi apparatus was well developed and was increased in number.Cytochemically, G6Pase activity was localized in the lumen of the sarcoplasmic reticulum, nuclear envelope and subsarcolemmal cisterns, and it was also positive in the regenerative rough endoplasmic reticulum. TPPase activity appeared in the Golgi apparatus, and it was especially prominent in the Golgi apparatus of the hypertrophied cells. These findings suggest that the protein synthetic activity was increased in the hypertrophied myocardial cells.
