OBJECTIVE: To study the effects of Folium Crataegi water extract on contractility of isolated gastric and intestinal smooth muscle strips in rats. METHODS: The effects of Folium Crataegi water extract on the contractility of isolated rat gastric and intestinal smooth muscle strips in the presence of normal Krebs’ solution, acetylcholine or atropine were investigated. RESULTS:Folium Crataegi water extract (5～20 mg?mL-1)significantly enhanced the contractility of rat gastric and intestinal smooth muscle strips in a dose-dependent manner, and Folium Crataegi water extract (20 mg?mL-1) could enhance the intensive contraction induced by acetylcholine and antagonize the relaxation of intestinal smooth muscle induced by atropine. CONCLUSION:Folium Crataegi water extract has remarkable stimulation on the contractility of isolated rat gastric and intestinal smooth muscle strips.

Objective To investigate the better factor for inducing the primordial germ cells to differentiate into hepatocytes in vitro. Methods The primordial germ cells(PGCs) from the gonadal ridges of the mouse embryos at 11 days postcoitum(dpc) from Kunming pregnancy mice were cultured and proliferated in vitro.An aliquot PGCs suspension was cultured in 6-well dishes for 24?h.Then bFGF, EGF,?-NGF,RA and hepatocyte abstract were added into the dishes respectively,Anather aliquot PGCs were co-cultured with mouse embryonic hepatocytes for directional differentiation.The morphological changes and indiocyanine green(ICG) intake of the PGCs were observed;albumin(ALB) and ?-1-antitrypsin(AAT) were assayed by immunocytochemistry. Results After the addition of ?-NGF,hepatocyte abstract and CM-EH the ICG was intaken by the differentiated cells which like star and ovum,the ALB and AAT immune positive expression were detected in those differentiated cells.The ratio of positive cells was above 60% in 2 weeks.But bFGF,EGF and RA had no same as the effects.However RA could improve the ratio of differentiated cells induced by ?-NGF and hepatocyte abstract.Conclusion ?-NGF and some factors from hepatocytes and embryonic hepatocytes could effectively induce PGCs to differentiate into hepatocytes.

Objective:To investigate the effect of nutrition intake,body mass index(BMI),age of delivery,pregnancy time of pregnant women on birth weights of neonates.Methods:The conditions of 237 pregnancy women from January.1st 2007 to June 1st 2007 in one hospital of Chongqing were analyzed retrospectively.There were 3 cases of fetal death,8 cases of artificial abortion among them,so the practical cases number was 226.Indexes of nutrition intake,body mass index,age of delivery, pregnancy time of pregnant women and birth weights of neonates were recorded and performed for statistical analysis.Results: The pregnant women with high total energy and tat intake,high BMI and post-term birth had higher risk of delivery of heavier infants or even macrosomia.The protein and carbohydrate intake,age of delivery of pregnant women wouldn't affect on birth weights of neonates.Conclusion:The total energy and fat intake,body height,body weight and pregnancy time of pregnant women will affect on the birth weights of neonates.

Objective:To evaluate the safety,technical success rate,and effectiveness of transcatheter superselective arterial chemoembolization(TACE)for unresectable lung cancer and the metastases tumor with rich blood feeding in lung.Methods:Using Japan Shimadzu 1250Ma CCD DSA X machine,4F RH or 4F YASHIRO catheter and 3F SP microcatheter were employed in superselective chemoembolization for feeding artery of lung cancer and the metastases tumor with rich blood feeding in lung with lipiodol and 2～3 species chemodrug.The period of repetitive treatment was 4～6weeks.After treatment,the change of the symptoms,images of neoplasm and the survival rates were observed.Results:Transcatheterization and embolization were successfully completed in 88 out of 90 cases.Technical success rate was 97.8% without spinal damage occuring.After 2～3 time treatment,the symptoms of the patients obviously improved in 87cases(96.7%);neoplasm notable shrank in 82 cases(91.1%),partly shrank in 5 cases(6%),not shrinking in 3 cases(3.3%).The survival rate respectively at 6 months,12 months,24 months,36 months were 98.8%(89/90),93.3%(84/90),83.3%(75/90)and 53.3%(48/90).Conclusions:The technical success rate at Superselective transcatheter arterial chemoembolization for feeding artery of the neoplasm that rich blood fed in lung is high.Complications rate is lower.Its effectiveness is more notable than bronchial artery chemodrug infusion.

Objective:To retrospectively study the effect and curative effectiveness of ethanol in treating HCC with portal vein tumor thrombus(PVVT) through transcatheter fed arterial super selective infusion and super selective arterial embolization of main tumor,appraise the effect of ethanol in local treatment,in order to improve the clinical curative effects on the patients. Methods:The data of study from 86 cases of HCC with PVVT in our hospital between 2001~2004 year,to the fed artery of portal vein tumor thrombus super selective infusion ethanol or ethanol and gelfoam or ethanol and lipiodol,also through transcatheter super selective embolizing the fed arterys of main tumors including TACE or ethanol and lipiodol in 86 cases HCC. The course of observation was between 2001 and 2007year. Results:The super selective fed arterial embolization of PVVT and main tumors were successful in all cases;After treatment,ascites disappeared or obviously reduced in 66.3%(57/86) of cases,reduce in 23.2%(20/86),did not reduce in 10.5%(9/86);After 7~10d,hepatic function obviously improve or improve in 71%(61/86),did not obviously change in 11.6%(10/86),lowered in 6%(5/86),with no obvious lowering of hepatic function or hepatic function failure.The survival rates at 3,6,12,24,36months were 97.7%(84/86),95.5%(82/86),72.7%(62/86),47.7%(41/86) and 16.3%(14/86) respectively. Conclusion:The therapy of ethanol through catheter super selective PVVT fed arterial infusion is safe and effective,combined with super selective TAE or TACE to the fed artery of main tumor,could obviously improve the quality of life of the patients and could improve the survival rate.

Objective:To investigate the effect of pravastatin on oxidative stress and renal function in the kidney of diabetic rats.Methods: SD rats were randomly divided into normal control group(CN),diabetic control group(DM),pravastatin treatment group(DM+P) and melatonin treatment group(DM+M).Pravastatin or melatonin was given to streptozocin-induced diabetic rat for 8 weeks,then the general state and renal function of rats were evaluated.The serum and renal intrinsic anti-oxidant enzyme(AOE) activities and lipid peroxide levels were also examined.Results: Diabetic rat model was successfully induced.Compared with DM control group,the urinary protein excretion was lower in DM+M group((P

This article summarized the definition,clinical manifestation,diagnosis and the development in research of Panlindromic Rheumatism(PR).According to the clinical characteristics of PR,we considerd that it was very much like "panodynia" in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) as described in Inner Canon of Huangdi.It discussed the pathogenesis,the theorical source,the diagnosis and treatment of panodynia further.And it suggested that the treatment of panodynia based on syndrome differentiation should be different in the acute and the chronic phase.In the acute phase,principle of removing heat,expelling wind,eliminating dampness and freeing the connecting channels should be applied while in the chronic phase principle of supplementing the spleen and boosting the lung,eliminating dampness and clearing away the phlegm rheum,supplementing the liver and boosting the kidney,supplementing yin and clearing away heat,warming the spleen and recuperating the kidney should be applied respectively according to different clinical manifestation.The theory of "To treat the one going to be sick not the one already sick" in the Inner Canon of Huangdi is implied in the paper.We hope this paper may arouse intensive discussion and more research for panodynia and the relation between panodynia and PR.

Objective To understand the distribution characteristics of HIV infection status among the outpatients in this hospi-tal to provide the beneficial supplement for local large-scale survey and the basis especially for the hospital infection control.Meth-ods The HIV screening situation on the outpatients of our hospital from 2007 to 2012 was retrospectively analyzed.Results Dur-ing these 6 years,108 999 specimens were detected,88 cases were positive in the preliminary screening and 81 cases were confirmed positive.The positive rate of anti-HIV antibody was 0.074%.In addition to voluntary counseling and testing,the specimens submit-ted by the outpatient anorectal department and the inpatient hematology department had the higher positive detection rate,which was 1.16% and 0.84% respectively.Conclusion The HIV infection rate in non-infectious disease specialized hospitals shows the increasing trend.The key departments must increase the intensity of the medical staff training,pay attention to early diagnosis of HIV/AIDS,prevent the hospital infection and reduce the risk occurred after the occupation exposure.

Chemoprevention of cancers is still very important since we have not got effective treatments for them.Many natural products(e.g.extracts from plants) or chemical synthetic substances(e.g.additives in foods) were used as chemoprevention regents.Some of them fight the carcinogens or other toxins through induction of the phase 2 antioxidant enzymes.Recently,it is wildly believed that the mechanism of this induction is the activation of Keap1-Nrf2-ARE signaling pathway.Thus understanding of this signaling pathway will widen the field of the cancer research and chemoprevention.
