A total of 102 cases (204 eyes) with mild ametropic amblyopia underwent refractive correction without any vision training.After wearing glasses,visual acuity was examined every 3 months during a follow-up period of 12 months.After wearing glasses 12 months,201 eyes (98.53％) were treated effectively,175 eyes (85.78％) cured basically and 3 eyes (1.47％) became invalid.The changes of visual acuity were satisfactory(P ＜0.01).The difference of visual acuity between every two observation timepoints were satisfactory(P ＜0.01).Treating mild ametropic amblyopia by refractive correction alone is both simple and effective.And it has an excellent compliance and a low cost.

Objective To observe the correctly positioning rate of left-sided double lumen endobronchial tube by combined adjustment of auscultation,PETCO2 and airway pressure changes.Methods Sixty adult patients undergoing thoracic surgery were intubated with Robertshaw DLTs. DLT position is checked and adjusted by fiberoptic bronchoscope（FOB）. Results In the supine position,successful intubation is 57 cases by three combined methods,one of cases is shallower,two of cases are deeper,satisfactory rate is 95 percents;In the lateral decubitus position,successful intobution is 56 cases by three combined methods,two of cases is shallower,two of cases are deeper,satisfactory rate is 93.4 percents.Conclusion Three combined methods that are simple,reliable can be used repeatedly during postural changes without increasing the opportunities for injury,it is clinically a very good approach,but the absolute scope of safety is very small,FOB is necessary for positioning.

Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) is the causative agent of cold sores and other more serious diseases. HSV-1 infected-cell protein 27 (ICP27) is an immediate-early regulatory phosphoprotein homologous to gene products identified in all classes of herpesviruses so far. To raise the antiserum to ICP27 for further characterization of its biological function, the ICP27 gene was cloned into the pET-28a (+) vector, then ICP27 protein was expressed in E. Coli and purified by nickel-nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni2+-NTA) affinity resin column,finally the purified protein was used to raise antiserum. Western blot analysis demonstrated that the antiserum recognized the recombinant protein, and the antiserum was able to probe the ICP27 in HSV-1 infected cells with high specificity by immunofluorescence assay (IFA). Therefore, the specific antiserum will provide a valuable tool for further studies investigating ICP27's biological function during HSV-1 infection.

Objective To determine whether the maternal serum interleukin-6(IL-6)and in- terleukin-8(IL-8)concentrations can be used in the antenatal diagnosis of intrauterine infection in premature rupture of membranes(PROM).Methods The level of maternal serum IL-6 and IL-8 were determined by a sensitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays in 50 normal late pregnant women,25 patients with PROM but without evidence of IAI and 49 patients with PROM and IAI. Objective To explore the resilience characteristics of the traumatic fracture patients and its influence on acute stress disorder(ASD),and provide the basis for improving the population's ability to cope with stressful events and resilience level for clinic.Methods 440 cases of traumatic fracture patients hospitalized in Tangshan Second Hospital were selected in this study.All subjects were assessed with SAS-RQ,CD-RISC,AIS-ISS,VAS and the general condition of investigations.Results The resilience level of traumatic fracture patients was at the middle,the resilience total score was(51.13±14.81) points,and lower than that of the national norm(t=-20.217,P＜0.01).Sex,age,personality and injury severity had the impact on resilience (P＜0.05).Resilience dimensions and total scores had negative correlation with SASRQ dimen sions and its total score (r=-0.587--0.739,P＜0.01).High-leveled resilience patients have lower ASD scores and lighter symptoms(P＜ 0.05).The multivariate analysis appeaed that resilience and the degree of pain were the main factors affecting ASD (P＜ 0.05).Conclusion The resilience level of the traumatic frac ture patients should be further improved and the construction of resilience should be strengthened in order to prevent the occurrence of ASD.

Objective To investigate p53 protein expression in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and its correlation with biological behavior, p53 gene mutation and EBV infection in 43 cases of NPC. Methods Immunohistochemical staining was applied to detect p53 protein,PCR-SSCP was used to detect p53 gene mutation, and EBV infection was determined with PCR. Results The positive rate of p53 protein expression was 76 7%(33/43)in the NPC. OBJECTIVE:To establish a HPLC method for determining the content of Meropenem and to observe the stability of Meropenem in mixing with 5%GS,GNS and NS.METHODS:The conditions of HPLC were:column,Nova-Pak C18;mobile phase,acetonitrile-0.05mol KH2PO4(4∶96);flow rate,1.0ml/min;detection wavelength,300nm.After Meropenem mixing with 5%GS,GNS and NS,the changes of external apperance were observed in room temperature,the content was detected with HPLC and the pH and insoluble particles were determined.RESULTS:The calibration curve was in good linearity in the range of 12.5～250?g/ml(r=0.9 999)and the recovery was 99.7% with RSD=1.1%.CONCLUSION:This detection method is effective,rapid and accurate.Meropenem is stable in infusion fluids for 4 hr.

Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups with 8 rats each:shame-operated group (0.9% saline solution), model group (dimethyl sulphoxide, DMSO), Curcumin treatment group [curcumin 100 mg/(kg?d)], and Enalapril treatment group [enalapril 10 mg/(kg?d)]. All rats were killed 4 w after surgery. The degree of tubulointerstitial fibrosis was scored by HE and Masson staining. The sites and levels of protein expression of TGF-?1, CTGF and TIMP-1 were detected by immunohistochemistry staining. Result Compared with those of shame-operated group, the blood urea nitrogen level was significantly increased (P 0.05). Conclusion Pharmacological effects of Curcumin or Enalapril on unilateral ureteral obstruction rats are quite similar. These effects may result from the down-regulation of TGF-?1, CTGF and TIMP-1 expression in kidney tissue.

The degree of tubulointerstitial fibrosis was scored by HE and Masson staining, and the sites and levels of protein expression of TGF-?1、?-SMA and vimentin were detected by immunohistochemistry staining. Result Compared with shame-operated group, the serum urea nitrogen level was significantly increased (P 0.05). Conclusion The pharmacological effects of curcumin and enalapril may be partly mediated by inhibiting the transdifferentiation of renal tubular epithelial cells towards myofibroblast in UUO rats.

Regulation of liver regeneration is a complex pathophysiological process, accompanied by the participation of a large number of cytokines, such as the early stage of IL-6, TNF-α, the proliferation phase of HGF, TGFα, as well as the termination phase of TGFβl, and so on. These factors are coordinated in an orderly adjustment of liver cell proliferation. Enhancing the capacity of liver regeneration after liver resection and transplantation, study on molecular mechanism of liver regeneration is of great significance. This article summarizes liver regenerati after partial hepatectomy and the role of the relevant molecules.
