1.Evaluation of treating mild ametropic amblyopia by refractive correction alone
Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2013;(3):220-221
A total of 102 cases (204 eyes) with mild ametropic amblyopia underwent refractive correction without any vision training. After wearing glasses, visual acuity was examined every 3 months during a follow-up period of 12 months. After wearing glasses 12 months,201 eyes (98.53%) were treated effectively,175 eyes (85.78%) cured basically and 3 eyes (1.47%) became invalid. The changes of visual acuity were satisfactory(P <0.01).The difference of visual acuity between every two observation timepoints were satisfactory(P <0.01).Treating mild ametropic amblyopia by refractive correction alone is both simple and effective. And it has an excellent compliance and a low cost.

International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(11):760-763
Regulation of liver regeneration is a complex pathophysiological process, accompanied by the participation of a large number of cytokines, such as the early stage of IL-6, TNF-α, the proliferation phase of HGF, TGFα, as well as the termination phase of TGFβl, and so on. These factors are coordinated in an orderly adjustment of liver cell proliferation. Enhancing the capacity of liver regeneration after liver resection and transplantation, study on molecular mechanism of liver regeneration is of great significance. This article summarizes liver regenerati after partial hepatectomy and the role of the relevant molecules.

Objective To explore the resilience characteristics of the traumatic fracture patients and its influence on acute stress disorder(ASD),and provide the basis for improving the population's ability to cope with stressful events and resilience level for clinic. Methods 440 cases of traumatic fracture patients hospitalized in Tangshan Second Hospital were selected in this study. All subjects were assessed with SAS-RQ,CD-RISC,AIS-ISS,VAS and the general condition of investigations. Results The resilience level of traumatic fracture patients was at the middle, the resilience total score was(51.13±14.81) points, and lower than that of the national norm(t=-20.217,P<0.01).Sex,age,personality and injury severity had the impact on resilience (P<0.05).Resilience dimensions and total scores had negative correlation with SASRQ dimen sions and its total score (r=-0.587--0.739,P<0.01).High-leveled resilience patients have lower ASD scores and lighter symptoms(P< 0.05).The multivariate analysis appeaed that resilience and the degree of pain were the main factors affecting ASD (P< 0.05).Conclusion The resilience level of the traumatic frac ture patients should be further improved and the construction of resilience should be strengthened in order to prevent the occurrence of ASD.

Objective To determine whether the maternal serum interleukin-6(IL-6)and in- terleukin-8(IL-8)concentrations can be used in the antenatal diagnosis of intrauterine infection in premature rupture of membranes(PROM).Methods The level of maternal serum IL-6 and IL-8 were determined by a sensitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays in 50 normal late pregnant women,25 patients with PROM but without evidence of IAI and 49 patients with PROM and IAI. Results The maternal serum IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations in patients with PROM and IAI were 301.19?142.34/L and 312.32?149.56 ng/L,which were higher than that in patients with PROM but without IAI(133.22?55.26 ng/L and 125.35?61.30 ng/L)and the normal late pregnant wom- en were(126.59?57.12 ng/L and 112.69?56.02 ng/L),P

Objective To study the existence and variance of nerve growth factor positive neurons in the intrinsic cardiac ganglia of adult (3 months) and old (15 months) rats. Method Immunohistochemical staining technique. Results NGF positive neurons exist in the intrinsic cardiac ganglia of the adult and old rats, but these neurons decreased remarkably and NGF expression reduced obviously in the cardiac ganglia of old rats. Conclusions The find of NGF positive neurons in the posterior wall of atria provides morphologic evidence for the normal existence and the decreasing of NGF related with age in the cardiac ganglia. It also indicates that the degeneration of heart function may correlate closely to the expression of NGF.

Objective To investigate the effect of curcumin on renal interstitial fibrosis following unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO), and compare the effects of Curcumin with that of Enalapril. Method UUO rat model was used. Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups with 8 rats each:shame-operated group (0.9% saline solution), model group (dimethyl sulphoxide, DMSO), Curcumin treatment group [curcumin 100 mg/(kg?d)], and Enalapril treatment group [enalapril 10 mg/(kg?d)]. All rats were killed 4 w after surgery. The degree of tubulointerstitial fibrosis was scored by HE and Masson staining. The sites and levels of protein expression of TGF-?1, CTGF and TIMP-1 were detected by immunohistochemistry staining. Result Compared with those of shame-operated group, the blood urea nitrogen level was significantly increased (P 0.05). Conclusion Pharmacological effects of Curcumin or Enalapril on unilateral ureteral obstruction rats are quite similar. These effects may result from the down-regulation of TGF-?1, CTGF and TIMP-1 expression in kidney tissue.

Objective To compare the effects of curcumin and enalapril on transdifferentiation of renal tubular epithelial cells in unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) rats. Method UUO rat model was used. Male wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups with 8 rats each:shame-operated group (0.9% saline solution), model group (dimethyl sulphoxide), curcumin treatment group [curcumin 100 mg/(kg?d)], and enalapril treatment group [enalapril 10 mg/(kg?d)]. Medicines were given intraperitoneally daily two days after the operation. All rats were killed 4w after surgery. The degree of tubulointerstitial fibrosis was scored by HE and Masson staining, and the sites and levels of protein expression of TGF-?1、?-SMA and vimentin were detected by immunohistochemistry staining. Result Compared with shame-operated group, the serum urea nitrogen level was significantly increased (P 0.05). Conclusion The pharmacological effects of curcumin and enalapril may be partly mediated by inhibiting the transdifferentiation of renal tubular epithelial cells towards myofibroblast in UUO rats.

Objective Study the relationship between type A influenza virus genetic variation with survival selective pressure, help for the finding of possible vaccine conserved antigen target. Methods Select seven strains of same HA (Hemagglutinin) serotype, regional and isolation time closely related type A influenza virus with full HA gene coding sequence; use Blast2 program to calculate the parameter of nucleotide conservative, amino acid conservative, mutation ratio of codon 3rd (over) non 3rd locus, survival selective pressure indicator of these virus strains; analysis the parameters relationship with survival selective pressure indicator. Results Nucleotide conservative of HA gene is significantly lower than that of other genes; amino acid conservative of HA gene is similar with NS gene, all lower than that of other genes; genetic variation of HA gene is under survival selective pressure; selective pressure toward NS, PB1 gene is relatively lower than that toward NA, NP gene; survival selective pressure indicator is strongly correlated with mutation frequency upon codon 3rd locus. Conclusions Genetic variation of influenza virus is determined both by mechanism of relax replication model and survival selective pressure; genetic conservative of each gene is different, NA, NP gene could be selected as possible vaccine target for their relative high conservative, HA gene possesses medium genetic conservative with prospective of finding more conserved epitope region within its full sequence, NS, PB1 are not recommended as vaccine candidate for their relative low genetic conservative.
