China Pharmacy 2001;0(11):-
OBJECTIVE:To discuss the method of efficacy evaluation of Chinese traditional medicine(CTM)by the theory of pharmacoeconomics.METHODS:Based on the characteristics and the market situation, together with the current interna?tional pharmacoeconomics evaluation norm, the method for the efficacy evaluation of CTM was analyzed and discussed.RE?SULTS&CONCLUSIONS:Both the advantages of CTM and the international evaluation standard should be taken into consideration in the evaluation of the efficacy of CTM,it is advisable to adopt the western medicine efficacy assessment stan?dard if possible so as to increase its international acceptability.
3.The application of bronchofibroscope to treat pulmonary atelectasis after thoracotomy
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(05):-
Objective To summarize the experience on bronchiallavage to cure pulmonary atelectasis and pulmonary infection after thoracotomy. Methods 48 patients were selected and treated by bronchiallavage under monitoring, and antibiotics was used according to sputum culture and drug sensitive test. The out come was analyzed and evaluated. Results All patients of the pulmonary atelectasis were cured and those with pulmonary infection were controled. There was no serious complication. Conclusion Bronchiallavage is applied to treat pulmonary atelectasis and pulmonary infection after thoracotomy, the curative rate is significant. The appliance of antibiotics is guided by drug sensitivity. It is such a safe and feasible therapeutic tool that the bronchofibroscope is applied to cure pulmonary atelectasis and pulmonary infection after thoracotomy.

DNA methylation is an important epigenetic modification mode , which plays a crucial role in gene expression , genome stability and development .DNA methylation is catalyzed and maintained in cell proliferation by the family of DNA methyltransferases. The ten-eleven translocation (TET) enzymes oxidize 5-methylcytosine (5mC) to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC), 5-formylcytosine (5fC), and 5-carboxylcytosine (5caC).Here, we briefly describe the TET enzymes and their role in cancer , and the distribution , the role and detection method of those three oxidation products of cytosine in genome .

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(01):-
Objective To test the hypothesis that locally direct gene transfer of human vascular endothelial growth factor(phVEGF) 165 could passivate hepatic venous metallic stents by accelerating endothelialization and augmenting biocompatibility of endovascular stent. Methods The complexes of pAdTrackCMV and lipofectamine was smeared homogeneously to the surface of stent coating with poly-1-lysine. Bare stainless steel stents were used as controls. All stents were implanted into the hepatic right vein by the procedure of transjugular intrahepatic venous stent deployment. Results At the end of 1 week after implantation, the site -specific expression of phVEGF was detected by RT-PCR. Green fluorescence and the expression of phVEGF gene were detected in the transfered stented vessel of the treatment group. These phenomena were not observed in the control group. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the endothelialization of stent was more pronounced in the treatment group than that in control group. At the end of 8 weeks after implantation, quantitative angiography analysis showed the degree of internal diameter stenosis was less severe in the treatment group compared with the control group. Mean neointima thickness, mean neointima areas and percent cross-sectional area narrowing in treatment group was significantly fewer than that in the control group, respectively. Immunohistochemistry analysis revealed that the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells was more active in control group than that in the treatment group. Conclusions Local gene transfer of phVEGF165 can passivate endovascular stents by accelerating stents endothelization and enhancing their biocompatibility in hepatic vein, resulting in reducing thrombus formation and attenuating intimal hyperplasia.

Objective To study the effect of Mushao composition on ?-EP and CCK-8 in the caudex dorsalis of rats with pain after fracture operation, and explore its mechanism. Methods The male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group, model group,Mashao composition group and tramadol group. The Brennan model was adopted. The level of the ?-EP and CCK-8 were determined by the method of radioimmunity. Results Compared with model group,Mushao composition could increase level of ?-EP in the caudex dorsalis, while decrease level of CCK-8.Conclusion Mushao composition could increase the content of ?-EP and reduce the content of CCK-8,so to analgesia in rats model of pain after fracture operation.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 1993;0(03):-
Objective To induce highly active hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) specific cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (H-S-CTL) lines by co-culture of lymphocytes and hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Methods H-S-CTL were established by co-culture of autologous HCC cells and lymphocytes, under stimulation of IL-1,IL-2,IL-4 and IL-6.The cytotoxic activity of H-S-CTL for target cells were detected by 51Cr release assay and indirect immunofluorescence assay. Results Compared with auto-LAK, H-S-CTL showed much higher antitumor activity of significantly increased CD3+, CD4+ and CD8+ cells. Conclusions H-S-CTL lines with massive proliferations and high antitumor activity can be successfully obtained by ex vivo co-culture under the stimulation of interlukins.

Thyroid carcinoma is the most common endocrine maligancy, and the worldwide incidence has been rising in recent years. Differentiated thyroid carcinoma is the most common thyroid malignancy, which include thyroid papillary carcinoma and follicular thyroid carcinoma, accounting for about 90 percent of thyroid carcinoma incidence. Currently, surgical treatment, iodine radiotherapy and TSH suppressive therapy are the commonly accepted effective treatments for differentiated thyroid carcinoma, and most patients can be cured. But there are still some patients not sensitive to the general treatments, who have lost the treatment of opportunity. Molecular targeted therapy is an agonistic or suppressive treatment for molecular biology targets of malignant tumor, and currently is a frontier research in the field of malignancy treatment. By retrieving and analyzing the related literature of molecular targeted therapy of thyroid carcinoma through PUBMED in the past 5 years, the article introduced the current status of molecular targeted therapy of thyroid carcinoma.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(10):-
Objective To explore the roles of bacterial infection in the pathogenesis and progression of acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Methods The clinical data of 604 patients with ALI or ARDS hospitalized from April 1991 to March 2001 were analyzed. Results (1) The cause of direct lung injury was predominantly ascribed to lung infection, whereas indirect lung injury was due to sepsis. (2) The gram positive cocci (50.76%) and gram negative bacilli (40.15%) in the isolated pathogenic bacteria from patients were approximately similar. Furthermore, Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were the first and second pathogenic bacteria, respectively. (3) The incidences of ALI and ARDS in infected patients significantly increased with the grade elevation of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) ( P
