Objective To investigate the expressions of ?-catenin(?-cat)and ?-catenin(?-cat)and their relation with development and prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Expressions of ?-cat and ?-cat were immunohistochemically studied in 43 specimens of NSCLC and 7 cases of normal lung tissues. Results Of the 43 NSCLC cases, the abnormal rate of ?-cat and ?-cat expression was 72.1% and 65.1%,respectively.Differentiation and lymph node involvement had a significantly positive correlation with abnormal expression of ?-cat or ?-cat(P

Type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM), which is an autoimmune disease, mostly affect people with hereditary susceptibility under the joint participation of environmental factors. It is known to coexist with other autoimmune disorders such as celiac disease(CD). The prevalence of CD is higher in patients with type 1 diabetes compared with the general population. Most patients affected with both T1DM and CD are atypical for CD at diagnosis, and may be misdiagnosed and subsequently suffered from the delayed treatment. These patients are more likely to develop symptomatic hypoglycemia, or poor blood glucose control, leading to an increased risk of chronic complications and seriously affecting the quality of their life. Thus, screening for CD is recommended in patients with T1DM.Anti-tissue transglutaminase antibody is the preferred biomarker for CD screening in children and adolescents over 2 years of age, with a sensitivity of 95% to 100% and a specificity of 94% to 100%.And a low-carbohydrate diet is often combined with a gluten-free diet.

Objective To make a comparative analysis of conventional smear and liquid-based cytology method to diagnose lung cancer in sensitivity and false-negative,and evaluate the application value of liquid-based cytology in sputum samples. Methods We collected 287 sputum samples through clinical contrast conventional smear with liquid-based cytology method. The diagnosis was made by the same pathology panel in double blind way.We compared the two methods to diagnose lung cancer in sensitivity and false-negative.Results Liquid-based cytology method detected 62 cases of lung cancer, and conventional smear detected 49 cases of lung cancer, with the sensitivity rate being 21.6% and 17.1%,respectively.Combination of the two methods made the sensitivity rate 24.0%.The false-negative rate was 38.6% for liquid-based cytology method and 48.5% for conventional smear which did not differ significantly.By combining the two methods, the false-negative rate was 24.0%.There was no significant difference between liquid-based cytology method and conventional smear, and between liquid-based cytology method and the two-method combination in sensitivity and false-negative.But there was a significant difference between the two-method combination and conventional smear. Conclusion Through sputum sample detection of lung cancer cell,liquid-based cytology method is better than conventional smear, the former having obvious superiority;combining the two methods can detect more lung cancers. Therefore,it is a superior screening test in detecting lung cancer and worthy of clinical popularization.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of carbon-coated iron nanoparticles carrying cisplatin on the growth of NCI-H446 lung cancer cells and expressions of Caspase 3 and Survivin mRNA.Methods NCI-H446 lung cancer cells were treated with iron-carbon nanoparticles and/or cisplatin. The cell viability was detected by MTT method, and the mRNA expressions of Caspase 3 and Survivin were measured with RT-PCR.Results Cisplatin could inhibit the growth of NCI-H446 lung cancer cells, and the inhibitory effect was stronger when it was combined with the iron-carbon nanoparticles. The cells had apoptosis. The mRNA expression of Caspase 3 of NCI-H446 lung cancer cells was remarkably enhanced after treatment with iron-carbon nanoparticles combined with cisplatin, while the mRNA expression of Survivin was notably weakened (P<0.05).Conclusion Carbon-coated iron nanoparticles carrying cisplatin could significantly increase the chemotherapy sensitivity of cisplatin on NCI-H446 lung cancer cells and enhance the therapeutic efficacy of chemotherapy drugs.

Objective To study perioperative nursing of maintenance hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism. Methods A total of 32 secondary hyperparathyroidism patients with maintenance hemodialysis in our hospital were selected as research subjects, and psychological care and diet care before surgery were prepared, and close observation of patient's diseases condition after surgery to prevent complications. Results All the 32 patients were positively cooperated with surgery, and symptoms were significantly improved. Conclusion Perioperative nursing for maintenance hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism can effectively reduce complications, improve quality of life of patients and relieve the suffering of patients.

Objective To explore the effect of posterior debridement, grafting and internal fixation for treatment of non-specific lumbar intervertebral infection. Methods Clinical data of 20 patients with non-specific lumbar intervertebral infection treated in General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from October 2013 to June 2013 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 15 males and 5 females with an average age of 41 years (range, 36-51 years). All patients suffered from single lumbar inter-vertebral infection, including 3 cases at L2/3,4 at L3/4,10 at L4/5 and 3 at L5/S1. All 20 cases underwent one-stage posterior debride-ment, autogenous bone grafting and internal fixation, tissue samples in focus were collected for bacterial culture and pathological examination. The disease controlling statues were evaluated based on laboratory results of ESR and CRP. Imaging examinations were taken to evaluate the fusion of vertebral body. Clinical effects were evaluated using the visual analog scale (VAS) and the Jap-anese Orthopaedic Association scores (JOA) score of lumbar fumction. Results All patients underwent the surgery successfully. The surgery duration time was 90-160 min, average 125 min, and the blood loss was 200-700 ml, average 360 ml. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage occurred in one case. Postoperatively, all patients experienced significant reliefof back pain, improving in the func-tion of movement, and no fever. The lower back VAS score: average (5.35 ± 1.15) points before operation , average (2.76 ± 0.34) points one week after operation, and an average score of (0.85±0.65) points by the last follow-up time. JOA lumbar function score:all patients were effective after operation, the improvement rate was excellent in 65%(13cases), good in 25%(5 cases), and pass-able in 10%(2cases). Comparing with preoperation, the excellent and good rate was 90%. All patients ESR and CRP returned to normal levels at the last follow-up. Ordinary bacterial culture was positive in 8 cases and negative in 12 cases. The pathogens iden-tified were staphylococcus aureus (6 cases), Escherichia coli (2 cases) and staphylococcus epidermidis (2cases). All incisions achieved primary healing. All patients were followed up from 6-18 months (average,12 months), and the symptom of pain relieved significantly. No recurrent infection had happened. A solid bony fusion was found in all patients at 6-14 months (average, 8.5 months) after the surgery. Conclusion Posterior debridement, grafting and internal fixation are effective treatments for non-spe-cific lumbar intervertebral infection, can reduce the time of staying in hospital, this operation is safe and reliable.
