objective: To investigate the expression of Schwann cell marker S100 protein in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma and try to find out the correlation of S100 expression and neural invasion of the tumor. Methods: Samples from 20 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma(ACC) and 18 cases of mucoepidermoid carcinoma(MEC) were immunohistochemical stained with S100 antibody. Results: S100 was positive in all of the samples of the 20 cases of ACC and negative in all of MEC. Neural invasion was observed in 11 out of the 20 cases of ACC and in 2 of MEC. Conclusion: There may be Schwann cell differentiation in salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, and it may be the histologic base of neural invasion of the tumor.

Eighty six patients with chronic superficial gastritis, atrophic gastritis and peptic ulcer without autoimmune diseases underwent gastroscopy and biopsy in the gastric antrum and body. Hp was identified by histopathological analysis (Warthin Starry silver stains) and rapid urease test (RUT). Lymphoid tissue was observed by HE stain and immunohistochemistry method. Results showed that Hp infection was found in 68 6% of the patients.Lymphoid follicles were present in 35 6% of the Hp positive patients ,and no lymphoid follicles were found in the Hp negative patients.In six Hp positive patients,Lymphoepithelial lesions were found.Hp infection was closely associated with gastric mucosal lymphoid infiltration,lymphoid follicles and active inflammation( P

Objective To investigate the reliability of cast measurements by comparing Photoshop and conventional hand-held method. Methods Maxillary standard plaster models from 10 orthodontic cases with crowding were enrolled in this study. The space available and the space required of anterior region were measured by using Photoshop in the digital pictures or conventional method used by 5 observers respectively.The measurement results of the same sample among every observer were analyzed with ANOVA, and the difference between the 2 methods was calculated and paired t test was used to analyze the data. Results The repeatability of measurement results was not good when the space available was measured with conven-tional method by different observer( M1 ～ M5 ), and the measurement results of M1 were significantly different from that of M3 and M5 respectively( P ＜ 0.05 ). The repeatability of measurement results was relatively good when the space available was measured by using Photoshop, and the measurement results of M5 were significantly different from other observers ( P ＜ 0.05 ). The measurement results of space required measured by different observer were very close, and the reproducibility was excellent when they were measured by means of Photoshop or conventional methods. Conclusion There were no much difference between Photoshop and conventional method to measure the required space. Photoshop had significant advantage over conventional method when available sRace was measured.

Objective:To simultaneously determine the contents of asarinin, prim-O-glucosylcimifugin and 5-O-methylvisammio-side in Xinqin granules. Methods:An HPLC method was used. The determination was performed on a ZORBAX Eclipse XDB-C18 col-umn(150 mm ×4.6mm,5 μm) with the mobile phase consisting of menthol (A)-water (B) with gradient elution. The flow rate was 1. 0 ml·min-1 . The column temperature was 30℃. The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm from 0 to 30 min and 287nm from 30 to 55 min. The injection volume was 10μl. Results:The linear range of prim-O-glucosylcimifugin, asarinin and 5-O-methylvisammio-side was 10.210-163.400 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 7),10.160-162.600 μg·ml-1(r=0.999 8) and 5.015-80.240 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 8), respectively. The average recovery was 100. 30%(RSD=1. 6%, n=6),101. 53%(RSD=1. 1%,n=6) and 101. 12%(RSD=1. 2%, n=6), respectively. Conclusion: The method is simple and accurate, which can be used in the quality control of Xinqin granules.

Objective To select valuable biomarkers for diagnosis and predicting outcome of sepsis-related acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) from D-dimmer (DD),yon Willebrand factor (vWF),platelet (PLT),N terminal-pro brain natriuretic peptide (NT-ProBNP),interleukin-6 (IL-6),interleukin-8 (IL-8) and surfactant protein D (SP-D).Methods A total of 48 sepsis accompanied with ARDS patients and 40 sepsis patients were prospectively studied with comparison.The clinical characteristics of all the patients were recorded in detail.The blood samples were obtained within 24 hours of ICU admission.The concentration or activity of the seven biomarkers was quantitatively assayed and the results were recorded.To select the most valuable biomarkers as clinical indices,diagnosis model and death predictive model were constructed by Logistic regression.Results Among the seven candidate biomarkers,SP-D,vWF and IL-8 showed the most value.Their area under the receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) were 0.758 (P ＜ 0.01),0.783 (P ＜ 0.01) and 0.747 (P ＜ 0.01) respectively,and raised to 0.847 (P ＜ 0.001) when the three biomarkers were combined.IL-8,age greater than or equal to 60 years and APACHE Ⅱ score greater than or equal to 20 were related to ARDS death with 12.138(lnIL-8)(P=0.022),6.157(P=0.040) and7.415(P=0.014) of OR values respectively.Conclusion SP-D,vWF,IL-8 should be valuable for early prediction of sepsis-induced ARDS and the diagnostic accuracy raised through combined utilization.IL-8 may be predictable for prognosis of sepsis related ARDS and the comprehensive evaluation combining clinical indices with IL-8 should be suggested in clinical practice.

Objective To explore the potential changes of connexin Cx36 in hippocampus and cortical neurons of rats with hyperthermia -induced convulsion.Methods Rats were divided into 2 groups according to the random number table method:normal control group and experimental group.Febrile convulsion model was elicited through im-mersion in warm water.The experimental group was generated following febrile convulsion model:hyperthermia group and febrile convulsion group.Among normal control group,hyperthermia group and febrile convulsion group,western blot analysis and immunofluorescence labeling techniques were used to examine the expression of Cx36 protein in the hippo-campus and cortex area.One -Way ANOVA was used to compare the mean of multiple sample,the LSD test was used to compare the two means.Tamhane′s test was used when variance were uneven.Results The incubation period,seizure duration and temperature were (4.39 ±0.08)min,(5.38 ±0.07)min,(41 .87 ±0.06)℃ after hyperthermia-in-duced convulsion,respectively.Western blot analysis showed that the expression of Cx36 protein in the hippocampus and cortex area decreased gradually after 1 0 times of seizure in normal control group,hyperthermia group and febrile convulsion group,and the febrile convulsion group decreased most obviously.Compared with normal control group and hyperthermia group,respectively,in febrile convulsion group Cx36 expression obviously decreased in the hippocampus and cortex in rats with 1 ,5,1 0 seizure times induced by hyperthermia,and with the increase of number of induced con-vulsion,the expression of Cx36 was significantly decreased in the cortex (0.1 04 ± 0.01 2)and CA1 (0.091 ± 0.01 1 ),CA3 (0.090 ±0.01 1 )and DG (0.092 ±0.01 2)areas of hippocampal neurons compared with the normal control group (0.21 2 ±0.01 7,0.1 67 ±0.01 3,0.1 59 ±0.01 4,0.1 71 ±0.01 3)and the hyperthermia group (0.1 89 ± 0.006,0.1 44 ±0.008,0.1 29 ±0.005,0.1 65 ±0.01 1 )(all P <0.05).Furthermore,the extent of reduction in Cx36 expression seemed to correlate with the number of seizures.Conclusion With the increase of thermal seizure frequen-cy,Cx36 expression of rats was decreased obviously which may lower convulsion threshold and lead to recurrent seizures.

The increasing identification of genetic causes for epilepsy over the recent years improves the understanding of the underlying epileptog enic process,and allows for the possibility of directed therapeutic approaches.An ideal antiepileptic therapy consists of a drug which is able to influence the functional changes caused by a specific pathogenic variant.In this review,we describe the current precise medicine approaches in genetic epilepsies.Currently established or investigated precise medicine treatments include the ketogenic diet in patients with glucose transporter typel (GLUT1) deficiency,sodium channel blockers in patients with KCNQ2 mutations,and mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR)-inhibitors in patients with SCN2A and SCN8A mutations.These predominantly represent already available treatments that were repurposed for use in epilepsy.The development of new therapeutic agents aiming at targets identified in genetic epilepsies will advance epilepsy treatment considerably.

Objective: To investigate the hydrolysis conversion rate of alcohol amine-diterpene alkaloids from aconitum alkaloids, hydrolyze aconitum alkaloids reference substance, calculate the amount of alcohol amine-diterpene alkaloids in the hydrolysis solution by the hydrolysis conversion rate, which is used as the amount of alcohol amine-diterpene alkaloids reference substance, and establish a content determination method for aconine, hypaconitine and aconine in Aconiti radix cocta.Methods: Through controlling the hydrolysis conditions of aconitine, hypaconitine and mesaconitine, aconine, hypaconitine and aconine were obtained.The determination was performed on an Agilent ZORBAX Extend-C18 RRHT(2.1 mm×50 mm,1.8 μm) column with the mobile phase consisting of methanol(A)-water(B containing 0.1% formic acid and 2.5 mmol·L-1 ammonium acetate) with gradient elution by HPLC-QTOF-MS.The flow rate was 0.21 ml·min-1.The column temperature was 30 ℃.MS instrument was equipped with an ESI+ ion source.Results: Under the hydrolysis conditions of this study, the conversion rate of aconine from aconitine was 99.64%;the conversion rate of hypaconitine from hypaconine was 99.94%;the conversion rate of mesaconitine from mesaconine was 99.57%.The HPLC-QTOF-MS methodological investigation showed the 3 kinds of alcohol amine-diterpene alkaloids were with good linearity (r>0.999 1).The RSD of the precision, repeatability and stability tests were less than 5%.The average recoveries were within the range of 99.43%-100.10%.Conclusion: The validated method is simple, specific, reliable and reproducible.In the absence of reference substance, it can be used for the quality control of the herbs of Aconitum L.species.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of transabdominal ultrasound interventional puncture combined with medicine in the treatment of ovarian chocolate cysts. Methods According to the different treatment methods will be January 2015 to December 2016 in Yuyao People's Hospital 70 cases of patients with ovarian chocolate cyst group: the control group with washed cysts + ethanol sclerotherapy by transabdominal ultrasound interventional puncture + urokinase solution, the observation group in the control group based on the addition of triptorelin;observed the body hormone before and after E2 two patients in the treatment group, follicle stimulating hormone, serum luteinizing hormone, FSH/LH, antral follicles level changes, complications, clinical treatment, and the relevant data for comparative analysis. Results Abdominal ultrasound interventional puncture and drug treatment (observation group) treatment of ovarian chocolate cyst is better than transabdominal ultrasound interventional treatment (control group), the stability of the body hormone levels of patients than the control group, the complication rate was lower than the control group, the total efficiency of clinical treatment was higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The patients with ovarian chocolate cyst transabdominal ultrasound interventional puncture and drug treatment effect significantly, can effectively improve the patients body hormone level, low complication rate, the total effective rate of the treatment is high, it is worthy of widely used treatment of patients with ovarian chocolate cyst.

ABSTRACT:Objective To compare the short-term efficacy of hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery and laparoscopy-assisted radical operation,and evaluate the safety of hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery and its effect on systemic stress inflammation in colorectal cancer.Methods Totally 100 patients who had colorectal cancer and underwent radical operation from September 2012 to March 2016 were selected and divided into hand-assisted laparoscopy group (Group A,n=6 3 )and laparoscopy-assisted group (Group B,n=3 7 )according to the random number table.We compared operation index,postoperative complications and systemic inflammatory response levels in the two groups.Results Group B outperformed Group A in operation time,bleeding volume and drainage volume (P<0 .0 5 ),but with longer flatus time after operation than that in Group A (P<0 .0 5 ).There was no significant difference in hospitalization length and the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups (P>0 .0 5 ).Systemic inflammatory reaction index of neutral granulocyte number and C reactive protein (CRP)showed no significant differences between the two groups (P>0 .0 5 ),but inflammatory cytokine IL-6 level in Group B was significantly higher than the that in Group A (P<0.05).Conclusion Hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery has shorter operation time,lower bleeding volume than laparoscopy-assisted operation in the treatment of colorectal cancer,but the latter one has more advantages in postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery.The inflammatory cytokine IL-6 level in hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery is higher than that in laparoscopy,suggesting that the choice of operation methods should be based on the actual situation in clinical application.
