Objective: Our aim was to analyze the relationship between the concentration of some minerals in saliva and periodontitis.Methods:Twenty-five patients with adult periodontitis (AP group), 25 age and sex matched healthy people(N group) were selected. Unstimulated whole saliva samples were collected and qualified for the concentration of TCa,P,Mg2+, Na+,K+, and Cl-.　Clinical parameters on periodontitis were also assessed for the patients. All the aforementioned indices were measured repeatedly at the end of the fourth week after initial therapy. Results:The clinical condition of the patients improved significantly after treatment. The level of saliva Ca elevated before and after treatment in AP group than that in N group. Before treatment, the concentration of Na+ also increased significantly, but it decreased to normal level after initial therapy. The findings also indicated the positive relationship between the concentration of salivary Na+ and pocket probing depth as well as gingival index before treatment.Conclusion:The elevated level of saliva Ca is a sign of periodontitis and may help the occurrence and progress of periodontitis. The level of saliva Na+ may indicate the pocket depth and degree of gingivitis.The saliva Na＋ is closely associated with the clinical condition of periodontitis.

Objective To explore the aursing points for patients with acute pancreatitia.Methods Retrospectively summarized the nursing courses among 65 patients with acute pancreatitis.Results Among the 65 patients with acute pancreatitis,there were 10 patients receiving operation,there were 55 patients receiving conservative treatment.5 cases died,and the others rccoverd.Conclusion The key nursing points for patients with acute pancreatitis are careful observation,systematic nursing intervention according to the conditions of patients and preventing complications.

Objective To investigate effects of combined use of glycogen synthase kinase (GSK) -3 inhibitor and fructose-1,6-diphosphate (FDP) on liver trauma in rats. Methods After crea-tion of liver trauma model in 49 Sprague-Dawley rats, 42 rats were randomly divided into control group (NaCl group), FDP group and FGI Group (FDP and GSK-3 inhibitor in combination group). Then, each group was randomly subdivided into pre-ischemia group and 4-hour reperfusion group on account of time point when animals were sacrificed before and after iachemia. The other seven rats set as sham operation group (SH group) were sacrificed at 4-hour reperfusion time point. The AST and ALT levels in hlood and glycogen content, SOD vitality and MDA content in liver tissues were determined. Results At pre-is-chemia time point, liver glycogen content in three groups was in order of control group < FDP group < FGI group (P <0.01). At 4-hour reperfusion time point, blood ALT and AST levels in four groups were in order of control group > FDP group > FGI group > SH group (P < 0.01), while SOD vitality in liver tissues of four groups was in order of control group < FDP group < FGI group < SH group (P < 0.01) and MDA content in four groups was in order of control group > FDP group > FGI group > SH group (P < 0.01). Conclusions Combined use of FDP and GSK-3 inhibitor can enhance the protective effect of FDP on liver rupture, as may relate to the mechanism that GSK-3 inhibitor can effectively enhance glycogen synthesis of FDP as substrate before liver ischemia so that the liver glycogen storage is increased in a short period of time and hence post-traumatic warm ischemia-reperfusion injury is alleviated in the liver of rats.

Objective:To investigate the effects of Candida albicans(C. albicans) on the cell cycle distribution of oral epithelial KB cells in vitro. Methods:KB cells at 3?106/ml were seeded and cultured for 48 h, then the bacterial filament and the spore of C. albicans at 102 CFU/ml were added to the cultures respectively. KB cell culture without C. albicans was used as the control. After 48 h culture cell suspensions were prepared and subjected to FACS flow cytometry for detecting the cell cycle distribution. The pharmacokinetics of domestic or imported nimesulide tablet was determined following a single oral dose of 200 mg given to 10 volunteers in randomized crossover study. The plasma concentration of nimesulide was assayed by HPLC method. The concentration -time curve of nimesulide conformed to a one-compartment model and the main parameters of domestic nimesulide were as follows: T1/2Ke 3. 61?1.43 h; Tpeak 2. 07?0. 63 h; Cmax=9. 46?2. 06 mg?L-1 ; AUC = 76. 39?17. 62 mg?L-1?h-1 respectively. The relative bioavailability of domestic tablet was 92.2%. The results of three factors analysis of variance and Bayesian method showed that two formulation were bioequiva-lent.

Objective To explore the effect of dexamethasone(Dex)treatment on the expression of interleukin(IL)?6 and IL?8 in human peri?odontal ligament cells(hPDLCs). Methods hPDLCs were subjected to one of the following treatments for 24 h or 48 h:10-9 mol/L Dex;10-6 mol/L Dex;10μg/mL Porphyromonas gingivalis(P. g)?lipopolysaccharide(LPS);10-9 mol/L Dex+10μg/mL P. g?LPS;10-6 mol/L Dex+10μg/mL P. g?LPS;or 0.1%absolute ethyl alcohol(control). Protein and mRNA expression was detected using ELISA and real?time PCR ,respectively. Results At 24 h and at 48 h,IL?6 and IL?8 protein expression in the 10-9 mol/L Dex?and 10-6 mol/L Dex?treated groups was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). At 48 h,IL?6 mRNA expression in the 10-9 mol/L Dex?and 10-6 mol/L Dex?treated groups was signifi?cantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),while IL?8 mRNA expression in the 10-6 mol/L Dex?treated group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Objective To evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine plus sufentanil during postoperative analgesia on sleep quality in patients undergoing abdominal hysterectomy.Methods Sixty patients (aged 30-55 years,ASA Ⅰ or Ⅱ) scheduled for hysterectomy were randomly divided into the following 2 groups: group C (n=30,sufentanil) and group D (n=30,sufentanil plus dexmedetomidine).Polysomnography measures were performed,the night before surgery (PSG1),the first night after surgery (PSG2),and the second night after surgery (PSG3).In addition,pain levels (visual analogue scale,VAS),sedation levels,sufentanil consumptions,and possible adverse effects on MAP,HR and SpO2 were investigated.Results Compared with PSG1,N1 stage sleep in group C and N2 stage sleep in group D were significantly increased (P<0.05),N1 stage sleep at PSG2 and PSG3 in group D was decreased (P<0.05);N3 and REM stage sleep,sleep efficiency index and subjective sleep quality were decreased,arousal index was increased in two groups (P<0.05).Compared with group C,N1 stage sleep was decreased,and N2 stage sleep was increased at PSG2 and PSG3 in group D (P<0.05);sleep efficiency index,subjective sleep quality were increased,arousal index in group D was decreased (P<0.05).Patients in group D had a lower VAS score and cumulative sufentanil consumption,MAP,HR at 6,24,48 h after surgery (P<0.05) and a higher sedation score at 6,24 h after surgery than those in group C (P<0.05).Conclusion Besides offering effective analgesia,postoperative dexmedetomidine infusion has positive effects on sleep disturbance in patients undergoing hysterectomy.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of low-dose erythromycin for the prevention of feeding intolerance in preterm infants. Methods Fifty-two preterm infants (30-31 weeks' GA group) and 68 preterm infants (32-34 weeks' GA group) were randomly subdivided into prevention groups and control groups. From the second day the prevention groups received intravenously erythromycin [3 mg /(kg·d)] for 10 days,the control groups received placebo of glucose. Results In 30-31 weeks' GA group,days to achieve full enteral feeding (DAFEF) ,days to regain birth weight (DRBW) and duration of hospitalization (DH) were shorter in the prevention group as compared to those in the control group, the incidence of feeding intolerance was lower too,but there was no significant difference (P >0.05). In 32-34 weeks' GA group, DAFEF [(13.8±4.5) d],DRBW [(10.5±1.6) d],DH [(28.5±6.8) d] were significantly shorter in the prevention group than those in the control group [(17.2±4.2), (13.8±1.5), (35.5±7.2) d],the incidence of feeding intolerance in the prevention group was lower too[ 17.6%(6/34) vs 35.3%( 12/34) ], there was significant difference (P < 0.05 ). Conclusion In 32-34 weeks' GA, low-dose erythromycin can be a safe and effective method to promote food tolerance in preterm infants, but not sure in 30-31 weeks' GA.
