1.Diagnosis and treatment progress of children′s food allergy correlative persistent diarrhea
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2015;(19):1449-1452
Food allergy ( FA ) often leads to protracted diarrhea and chronic diarrhea, which influence children′s nutrition and growth seriously and early diagnosis and treatment is particularly important. Its pathogenesis includes IgE mediated, not IgE mediated, and mix. Mainly manifestations include:food protein mediated rectum colitis, food proteins mediated enterocolitis syndrome, food proteins mediated bowel disease, and coeliac disease ( CD) . Diagnosis should be asked for details of the history. Diet avoidance and open food challenge tests help determine the diagnosis. Treatment mainly for suspicious foods to avoid, breastfeeding should be continue, mothers need to avoid food allergies, artificial feeding should be changed to extensively hydrolysed protein formula( eHF) or amino acid-based formula( AAF) feeding. Try not to use of antibiotics, and to give support therapy. Early diagnosis and treatment, correct nutritional gui-dance can prevent serious complications, reduce its incidence.
2.Epstein-Barr virus infection and development of T-cell lymphoma
Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2009;18(5):312-315
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a kind of DNA tumor virus. Previous Studies on the tumorigenic mechanism of EBV mainly focus on human B lymphocyte. Now there are evidences that EBV exists in human T-cell lymphoma. Exploration in recent years show that EBV could infect T lymphocyte and likely play an important role in the pathogenesis of T-cell lymphoma. Investigation of molecular biological effect of LMP1 in T cell will be helpful for us to understand the approach and mode of EBV infecting T lymphocyte as well as the mechanism of T-cell lymphoma development.

Objective: To evaluate color velocity imaging-quantitative method (CVI-Q) in estimating cerebral hemodynamic change in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods: The carotids of 60 normal people and 40 cerebral infarction patients were detected by CVI-Q. We observed endangium thickness and atheromatous plaques, and measured the diameter (d), peak velocity(Vmax), resistance index(RI) and blood flow volume(Q) of the common carotid arteries. Results: In cerebral infarction group there were 75% cases with endangium thickening to different degrees, 45% cases with atheromatous plaques and 71% plaques in carotid enlargement section or bifurcation. The data measured in 2 groups were compared: (1)The d value in cerebral infarction cases increased than that in normal(P<0.05 or P<0.01); (2)The Vmax reduced in cerebral infarction cases(P<0.05); (3)The RI increased in cerebral infarction cases (P<0.05 or P< 0.01); (4) The Q value reduced in cerebral infarction cases (P<0.01). Conclusion: CVI-Q can be used for detecting cerebral hemodynamic changes and provide quantitative indexes for clinicians to estimate ischemia degree and treatment in cerebral infarction patients.

Objective To study the uptake property of punicalagin in Caco-2 cells. Methods Caco-2 cell monolayer model was used to research the effects of punicalagin on cell uptake in different times, concentrations, pH values, temperatures and P-gp inhibitors. HPLC was used to determine the content of punicalagin in cells. Results The linearity of punicalagin concentration curve was found in the range of 0.024 8-0.992μg (r=0.997 9). Uptake determination of punicalagin in Caco-2 cells absorbed a certain amount of time, concentration and pH dependence and P-gp inhibitors could significantly increase the punicalagin uptake. Conclusion This method is simple and sensitive to determine the punicalagin concentration in Caco-2 cells, which is mainly passively transported. P-gp is involved in punicalagin transport process.

Objective To observe the characteristics of the images of optical coherence tomography (OCT) performed on the patients with macular edema, and investigate relationship between the retinal thickness at the central fovea and the best-corrected visual acuity. Methods Fourty-seven patients (54 eyes) with macular edema diagnosed by direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, three mirror contact lens, or fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) underwent OCT which was also performed on 50 healthy individuals as the control. The examination focused on the horizontal and vertical planes crossing the central fovea to measure the thickness of the fovea. The correlation between retinal thickness at the central fovea and best-corrected visual acuity was analyzed, and the images of OCT in the patients with macular edema were classified according to the macular configuration. Results Significant difference of the macular configuration and best-corrected visual acuity was found between the control and macular edema group. Three characteristics were found in the images of OCT in the patients with macular edema: sponge-like retinal swelling in 20 eyes (37.1%), macular cystoid edema in 26 eyes (48.1%), and serous retinal detachment in 8 eyes (14.8%). The statistical analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between the thickness at the central fovea and best-corrected visual acuity of affected eyes (r=-0.569, P=0.000). Conclusions The images of OCT in macular edema include 3 types: sponge-like retinal swelling, macular cystoid edema, and serous retinal detachment. The retinal thickness at the central fovea of the eyes with macular edema was thicker than that of the normal ones, and the thicker the fovea is, the poorer the visual acuity will be.

The patient complained of a 20 days history of isolated mass in the right cervical region. The lesion was successfully eradicated by surgical removal. Histopathology established branchial cleft cyst carcinoma (BCCC) as the diagnosis. More attentions should be paid to the diagnosis of BCCC. Primary leisions were essential for the suspected cases. Importantly, only after excluding the metastatic squamous carcinoma in lymph nodes and other primary diseases, the diagnosis of BCCC would be established. Therapeutic strategies include complete local excision, radical neck dissection, and post-operative radiotherapy.

OBJECTIVE:To develop a capillary electrophoresis method for determing the enantiomer of ceftriaxone Na.METHODS:A chiral resolving agent,?-cyclodextrin,was employed as chiral additive for ceftriaxone Na enantiomeric separation by capillary electrophoresis. In different electrophoresis polarity mode, the effect of pH of background electrolyte and the concentration of ?-cyclodextrin were investigated.RESULTS:The optimal conditions for enantiomeric separation were as follows:separation voltage:28kV,buffer solution:NaH2 PO4 50mmol/L,?-CD 0.04mmol/L,Tirs 3.0mmol/L,pH7.15.CONC_LUSION:The method is simple, sensitive, rapid and accurate, and can be used for the quality control of ceftriaxone Na enantiomers. There was significant difference in contents of enantiomers of ceftriaxone Na between products of two factories. We suggest that a quality control method for ceftriaxone Na enantiomer should be established, which will provide scientific basis for quality control of drug and clinical choice of effective antibioties.
