ObjectiveTo study wether muscle spindle afferents have the regulating effects on res piratory movement. MethodsExperiments were performed on 36 anesthetized, immobilized, bilater ally vagotomized and artificially ventilated rabbits. Using the phrenic nerve discharge as the respira tory index, this experiment have assessed the effects of muscle spindle afferents invoked by intraarte rial injection of succinylcholine(Sch) on respiration. Results①In 40(63.49% ) cases which had the facilitated effects, 23 (36.51%) cases had the effect of prolonged inspiratory phase and 17 (26.98 % ) cases had the effect of attenuated expiratory phase and augmented respiratory frequency. In addition, there were 11(17.46% ) cases which had the attenuated effects, and 4(6.35% ) cases which had the biphasic effects, and 8(12.7% ) cases which had no effects;②The effect of prolonged inspiratory phase mainly showed the prolongation of inspiratory duration(Ti), but the effect of at tenuated expiratory phase and augmented respiratory frequency mainly showed the decrease of expi ratory duration (Te) and the augmentation of respiratory frequency(RF) ;③The above facilitated ef fects of Sch were significantly attenuated by intramuscular application of bupivacaine to destroy the muscle spindles. ConclusionThese results suggest that muscle spindle afferents induced by intraar terial injection Sch have a significant facilitated effect on respiration.

BACKGROUND:With the improvement of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer technology, patients with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer are facing more and more psychological stress. To completely understand their mental features and to explore effective mental intervention are important problems faced workers of reproductive medicine.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the psychological condition of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer patients.
METHODS:A total of 92 in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer patients, who entered the cycle from October to
November 2012, were enrol ed in this study. The psychological conditions of these patients were evaluated using Symptom Checklist-90.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Al the factor scores of the Symptom Checklist-90 in patients with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer achieved significantly higher levels than national adult norm on their first day of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer cycles (P<0.05), with the exception of Psychiatric state factor. Meanwhile, in addition to Psychiatric state, differences of al the factors of Symptom Checklist-90 in patients with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer were statistical y significant in different stages of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer cycles at the first day of entering cycle, the day of obtaining ovum, and the seventh day of embryo transfer, (P<0.05). Interpersonal relationship, Depression and Anxiety scores were increased at the first day of entering cycle, the day of obtaining ovum, and the seventh day of embryo transfer (P<0.05). These results showed that patients with in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer tend to have poor psychological status, which is a problem in patients during the different stages of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer cycles and becomes aggravated during egg retrieval and waiting for the outcome. Interventional measures should be taken in different stages to improve patients’ mental health.

Caenorhabditis elegans is a very important model organism in life sciences. C. elegans has been widely used in research on life sciences, especially in drug screening and the mechanism of drugs, thanks to some of their prominent characteristics, including a short life, short generation cycle, and easy culture and observation. Aging is a complex process, which is the result of multiple factors. There are mainly three types of anti-aging signal pathways in C. elegans, including insulin-insulin-like growth factor-1 signal pathway, diet-restricted signaling pathway and mitochondrial respiratory chain/ATP synthesis pathway. In this paper, we reviewed the aging models based on the above three signaling pathways and the progress in anti-aging drugs based on the above aging models. In addition, a number of C. elegans models of aging-related neurodegenerative diseases can be obtained by using transgenic or chemical mutagenesis. Thus, this paper reviewed the transgenic models of C. elegans associated with neurodegenerative diseases, including theα-synuclein transgenic model of Parkinson disease, theβ-amyloid deposition model of Alzheimer disease, and the polyQ of Huntington disease, and summa?rized the effective drugs based on the above disease models. This review will provide reference for the study of C. elegans in the future screening of anti-aging drugs and drug screening for the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
