AIM: To observe the difference in the application of proportion of pinellisa decoction for purging stomach-fire, ginger rind and licorice root with different BP (back propagation,BP) method of artificial neural network. METHODS: The influence of gastric mucuqas content in normal rats was measured, and the groups of different flavor of a drug and dosage were divided according to homogeneous design. This research was programmed with MATLAB6.5, conformed the experimental data with BP artificial neural network, and the research compared the different structural topology of 8-3-1?8-8-1?8-12-1, and compared the different influence with the different BP method to network. And then, the expected mode of gastric mucus content was formed, which based on the BP neural network. RESULTS: The artificial neural network model that had 8-10-1 structural topology and improved BP method was formed, and it was a kind of good method to uniform the studied samples and to forecast the unstudied samples, Moreover, the expected effect of variable learning rate back propagation was best. CONCLUSION: Using the studying of pinellisa decoction for purging stomach-fire, ginger rind and licorice as an example, and give birth to the new model in studying proportioning of compound prescription. This model will found its position in studying proportioning of compound prescription.

Objective To identify the blood perfusion characteristics of different kinds of liver cancer and individualize interventional treatment models by color Doppler ultrasound(CDUS) and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS). Methods The blood perfusion characteristics of 315 patients with liver cancer comfirmed by pathology were analyzed and classified using CDUS and CEUS. Individual interventional therapy models were selected based on the classification. Therapeutic effects were evaluated by EUS,contrast-enhanced CT(CECT) and DSA simultaneously. Results Liver cancer can be classified by the blood perfusion characteristics from CEUS examination. The individualized interventional treatment models were selected and evaluated according to the characteristics:①Solitary small HCC of diameter ≤3 cm group were treated via percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI),radiofrequency(RF) or percutaneous microwave coagulation therapy(PMCT). Necrosis rates of the lesions were 95.0% - 97.9%, 1 and 3 years survival rates were 98.0% and 87.8% ,respectively. ②Diameter ≤5 cm and lesions ≤3 group were treated with RF or PMCT combined PEI. Necrosis rates of the lesions were 93.7% - 94.8% ,1 and 3 years survival rates were 89.8% and 81.4% ,respectively. ③Diameter >5 cm and hypervascular tumor main fed by the hepatic artery group were treated with TACE,PEI combined RF or PMCT. Necrosis rates of the lesions were 71.4% - 73.8%, 1 and 3 years survival rates were 66.2% and 47.6%, respectively. ④ Diameter >5 cm and hypervascular tumor fed by double blood supply or accompanied by portal vein tumor thrombus group were treated with selective portal vein embolization(SPVE) based on the above treatments. Necrosis rates of the lesions were 53.3% - 55.6%, 1 and 3 years survival rates were 64.7% and 40.0%, respectively. Conclusions Classifying the blood perfusion characteristics and choosing individualized interventional treatment models by CEUS are of important clinical significance in non-surgical treatment of liver cancer.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the changes in serum interleukin-2 (IL-2) level in a hamster model bearing cheek pouch carcinoma after heavy ion beams irradiation.
METHODSThe serum levels of IL-2 were detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay in 40 hamsters bearing cheek pouch carcinoma before and after exposure to heavy ion beam irradiation, with 8 normal animals as control.
RESULTSSerum IL-2 level was 0.16∓0.01 in the tumor-bearing hamsters before the irradiation, lower than that in the control group. After heavy ion beams irradiation at 4, 6, 8, and 12 Gy, serum IL-2 levels in the tumor-bearing hamsters were 0.18∓0.04, 0.22∓0.05, 0.15∓0.03, and 0.13∓0.04, respectively, showing a peak level after irradiation at 6 Gy and an obvious decrease following irradiation at greater doses.
CONCLUSIONHeavy ion beam irradiation causes alterations in serum IL-2 level with a dose-effect relation between them in hamsters bearing cheek pouch carcinoma.

Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of the changes of T lymphocyte subsets in the peripheral blood of patients with gastric cancer. Methods:The lymphocyte subsets in 67 patients with gastric cancer were analyzed with flow cytometry. CEA and CA199 from all patients were also detected. Results were statistically analyzed, and the patients were followed up. Results:The aver-age values of Tc (CD8+CD28+) in patients with stagesⅢandⅣgastric cancer were 12.3±5.1 and 9.9±4.6, respectively, with significant difference (P=0.043). The average values of Tc (CD8+CD28+) in patients with elevated CEA and with normal CEA were 9.3±3.6 and 12.1± 5.6, respectively (P=0.025). Similarly, the average values of Tc (CD8+CD28+) in patients with elevated CA199 and with normal CEA were 9.3±4.2 and 12.1±5.3, respectively (P=0.029). The overall survival of patients with decreased Tc (CD8+CD28+) was lower than that of patients with normal Tc (CD8+CD28+) (8.1 vs. 15.1 months, P=0.008). Conclusion:The cellular immune function of patients with gastric cancer gradually decreased with the progression of TNM. Higher CA199 and CEA values indicated lower average values of Tc (CD8+CD28+). The overall survival of patients with decreased Tc (CD8+CD28+) was lower.

Journal of Movement Disorders 2017;10(2):69-79
Parkinson's disease (PD), the second most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer's disease, is characterized by the loss of nigral dopaminergic neurons. PD leads to a series of clinical symptoms, including motor and non-motor disturbances. α-synuclein, the major component of Lewy bodies, is a hallmark lesion in PD. In this review, we concentrate on presenting the latest research on the structure, distribution, and function of α-synuclein, and its interactions with PD. We also summarize the clinic applications of α-synuclein, which suggest its use as a biomarker, and the latest progress in α-synuclein therapy.
