Blood pressure (BP) is one of important physiological parameters which reflect the activity of cardiovascular system. The discriminant method of BP is the key to improve the accuracy of measurements. In this paper, the principle of oscillation method is introduced first. The factors that influence the accuracy of this method and the preprocessing of pulse wave are also analyzed. Then, an improvement method based on oscillation method is proposed by means of the flow progress diagram, which is applied to measuring BP simulator and human body. The measurements are compared with the standard values of BP simulator and the measurements by Korotkoff sound method respectively. The results validate that the accuracy and the repeatability of BP determination are improved dramatically.

Objective To accurately detect ECG P wave,a P wave detection algorithm based on fitting function in the optimal interval is proposed and evaluated in this paper, for resolving very difficult problems.Such as differences of positions and figures in ECG P wave as well as easily suffered diversified interferences. Methods In this algorithm the quadratic function to fit the P wave with least square method in every interval was used, which was shifted in local range. Then the optimal fitting interval of P wave was found by comparing the error of fitting. Finally, the characteristic points of P wave were obtained with the fitting function to fit P wave in the optimal interval. Results The performance of this algorithm tested with the records of the MIT-BIH database was effective and accurate. Conclusion This algorithm on the wide range of heart rate variation and small P wave of ECG P wave detection has good effect. Also it has some capabilities of anti-interference and quite low dismissal probability in particular.

Objective To find a new algorithm for oscillometric blood pressure measurement. Method A coefficient difference comparative method was proposed to measure the difference of adjoining pulse waves and their comparative ratios. And the turning point was judged by priority way in the range. Result The new method settled the problem of miscarriage of justice of the turning point around average pressure and improved the accuracy of blood pressure measurement. Conclusion It can detect difference between cardiovascular patients and normal persons. And it is effective and reliable in blood pressure measurement. It provides a convenient method for researching, preventing and epidemiological studies of cardiovascular diseases in our country.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
Self-adaptive interference canceller based on LMS algorithm is an excellent filter which can adjust system parameter automatically. With good robustness, it can be applied to every signal abstraction and data treatment, especially bioelectric signals. By this algorithm, both the power frequency interference and baseline shift, for example, the ones of ECG signals, can be successfully eliminated.

Objective To elucidate the difference between methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)and methicillin-sensitive S.aureus (MSSA)in terms of genotypes and distribution of virulence genes with the clinical strains isolated from Hohhot, and explore the relationship between the changing resistance of S.aureus and the virulence transition. Methods Pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE)and multi locus sequence typing (MLST)methods were employed to do molecular typing for 30 MRSA strains and 30 MSSA strains isolated from inpatients in Hohhot,Inner Mongolia.PCR method was used to profile the distribution of virulence genes among these strains. Results PFGE typing results showed that 60 S.aureus strains were classified into 19 major types.MSSA strains belonged to 16 types, mainly types I and H.MRSA strains mainly belonged to types of K and M.Among the 20 strains with different PFGE types,MRSA strains were mainly identified as ST-239 type.but the prevalence of sec ,seg ,sei, sem, sen, seo, fnbB ,ebpS and cap 5 was higher in MSSA strains than in MRSA strains (P<0.05).Conclusions The clinical strains of S .aureus isolated from Hohhot showed diverse genotyping features.ST-239 was the major PFGE type of MRSA strains. The prevalence of virulence genes was higher in MSSA strains than in MRSA strains. Characteristic cluster is found for specific virulence genes. The results also suggest that acquisition of specific antibiotic resistance may be associated with change of specific virulence feature in S.aureus.

Objective To observe the effects of buccal acupuncture therapy and body acupuncture therapy on plasma metabolomites of rheumatoid arthritis rabbits model; To search for the metabolites related to the mechanism of buccal acupuncture and body acupuncture. Methods Sixteen rabbits were made into rheumatoid arthritis models by complete freund's adjuvant before the treatment. The buccal acupuncture group was treated by buccal acupuncture on the knee acupoint; 13 mm × 0.32 mm needle straight 0.2–0.5 mm, twist the main points of stimulation 15 s, once a day. The body acupuncture group was treated by body acupuncture on the Xiyan and Zusanli acupoints; with 13 mm × 0.32 mm needle straight 2–3 mm, every 5 min each time, twisting needle method, 100 times/min for 15 s, once a day. After the continuous treatment for 5 days, UPLC-QTOF/MS was applied to test metabolite from the plasma sample of all groups. Similarity analysis, hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA), principal component analysis (PCA), orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) were applied in this research; meanwhile load analysis method was used to identify the meaningful metabolites. Results The similarity analysis, HCA and PCA all showed the significant difference of endogenous metabolites in plasma samples among the buccal acupuncture group, the body acupuncture, the model group and the blank group. The 4 groups of different plasma sample metabolite were completely separated in three dimensions by OPLS-DA and all the samples were gathered respectively. The load analysis indicated that there were 19 kinds of endogenous metabolites which showed the significant differences between buccal acupuncture group and model group, and also happened between the body acupuncture group and the model group; N-cetyl-L-phenylalanine and 2-phenyl propionate in metabolism of phenylalanine and tyrosine decreased significantly in the buccal acupuncture group while significantly increased in the body acupuncture group. Conclusion There are relative similarity on the mechanism of treating rheumatoid arthritis between buccal acupuncture and body acupuncture. However, N-acetyl-L-phenylalanine and 2-phenyl propionate, as the main potential biomarkers of the difference, indicate that the dissimilarity can be significant.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;25(3):506-509
Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to accurately recognize the position and the figure of P wave in the ECGs easily influenced by the diversified interference,a P wave detection algorithm based on approximating functions in the optimum region is proposed in this paper. In the algorithm we use a conic to approach the P wave by means of the least square method in every region, which is shifted in local range. Then we find the optimum approach region of P wave by comparing the approximating error. Finally, we attain the characteristic points of P wave by using the approximating functions to approach P wave in the optimum region. The performance of the algorithm tested using the records of the MIT-BIH database is effective and accurate.
