Objective To evaluate the effect of meglumine cyclic adenosine (MAC) on heart rate variability (HRV) in aged-patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).MethodsSeventy six aged-patients with CHD were randomly divided into control group (n =36) and treatment group (n =40).The patients in control group were treated with nitrate, ozagrel, calcium antagonist, aspirin enteric-coated tablets, low molecular heparin,angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor ( ACEI ) or angiotensin receptor antagonist ( ARB ) and lipidlowering agents according to patients' conditions.Based on this, the patients in treatment group were treated with MAC 90 mg intravenous injection once a day for two weeks. The 24 h dynamic electrocardiogram was recorded.pre-ard post-treatment,and the changes of HRV indexes were observed. Results There was no statistical significance in HRV between the two groups before treatment ( P > 0.05 ).However the HRV in two groups improved significantly after treatment ( P <0.01 ).The improvement of HRV was more significant in MAC group than that in control group (P <0.01 ).Conclusion MAC can significantly improve HRV in aged-patients with CHD.

Aim To investigate the estrogenic activities of four components from pregnant mare’s urine extract. Methods The estrogenic activities of four components were assessed using two in vitro tests:the MCF-7 cell proliferation assay (E-screen test)and the luciferase transfected CHO cell gene reporter assay. In the lucifer-ase reporter gene assay, the reporter gene plasmids PGM-ERE-Luc and ERαor ERβand a control plasmid (pRL-cmv)were transiently co-transfected into CHO cells to establish an ERα-or ERβ-cell screening system which was used to measure estrogenic activity of four compounds. Results MCF-7 cells treated with HP, DHP,PT and HA significantly proliferated, thereby of-fering in vitro evidence for the estrogenic activities of HP,DHP,PT and HA,and they showed dose-depend-ent activities.Compared EC50 of PE and RPE with that of E2 ,HP,DHP,PT and HA exerted relatively weak estrogenic activities. The in vitro ER-mediated reporter gene assay revealed that HP,DHP,PT and HA dis-played estrogenic activities mediated by ERβor ERα. Compared with the EC50 of E2 ,HP,DHP,PT and HA exhibited lower estrogenic potencies. Conclusion HP, DHP,PT and HA possess weaker estrogenic activities than E2 .

Objective To simulate and evaluate the upper and lower limbs posture on rehabilitation devices training with the Computer Aided Tri-Dimensional Interface Application (CATIA) man-machine analysis module. Methods The human body sizes were determined as the 95th percentile Chinese men. Based on the ergonomics analysis of CATIA, three-dimensional human body was constructed in the upper and lower limbs rehabilitation equipment. Virtual human relationship was established. The attitude of the upper and lower limbs in rehabilitation equipment was simulated and evaluated. Results The human limbs model moved in the normal range and the scores were more than 90 which meant comfortable. The forces of various parts of the body was under the stress limit, as well as the force moment. The arm tension was 3-5 points with the rapid upper limb assessment, which meant the rehabilitation equipment was acceptable. Conclusion Rehabilitation robot may be optimized through the model of the human upper extremity stretch domain analysis, body posture assessment, rapid upper limb assessment and biomechanical analysis under CATIA.

Objective To compare the curative effect of laparoscopic and laparotomic operation for elderly Chinese women with cervical cancer. Methods The randomized controlled trials (RCT) and case controlled trials (CCT) were collected by searches of WanFang database, CNKI, VIP, China Biology Medicine (CBM) , PubMed. Data were extracted from these trials and data analysis was performed by RevMan 5.2.9. Results There were no RCTs, however, a total of 10 CCTs met the inclusion criteria and had data extracted for this review. The baseline characteristics of the laparoscopic group were similar to those of the laparotomic group. Comparing to laparotomic group, the laparoscopic group have longer operation time (MD =32.60, 95%CI: 5.65~59.55, P = 0.020), less amount of bleeding (MD = -94.01, 95%CI: -130.65 ~ -57.37, P = 0.000), smaller number of lymph node dissection(MD = 1.69, 95%CI: 0.67 ~ 2.72, P = 0.001), earlier anus exhaustion (MD=-17.09, 95%CI: -21.19 ~ -12.98, P = 0.000) and shorter hospital stays (MD = -4.30, 95%CI: -5.57 ~ -3.02, P = 0.000). There was significant difference between the two groups. But there was no statistical significance in postoperative indwelling catheter time (MD = -0.67, 95%CI: -1.92 ~ 0.58, P = 0.290) and surgical complications incidence (OR=0.62, 95%CI: 0.27 ~ 1.42, P = 0.260) between the two groups. Conclusion Laparoscopic management has the advantages of less traumatic and recovered quickly, and did not increase the incidence of complications. Laparoscopic operation is an ideal procedure for elderly Chinese women with cervical carcinoma.

Objective To investigate the application of metabolomics in research of the metabolic profiling of spontaneously hypertensive rats ( SHR) and Wistar rats using NMR combined with PLS-DA.Methods SHRs were fed with normal diet for 1 week and then the urines of normal rats and SHR hypertensive model rats were collected at 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks. The metabolic profiles were analyzed using 1H-NMR.Partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) was used to determine the differential biomarkers .Results The systolic blood pressure (SBP) of SHRs were significantly higher than that of normal rats.Using PLS-DA and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA), it was also possible to distinguish them in the principal components score plot .In the SHRs, the levels of some amino acids and some small molecular substances were higher than those in the control rats .Conclusions NMR combined with PLS-DA is a promising approach to provide the information on metabolic changes related to the pathophysiological processes in spontaneously hypertensive rats .

Objective To investigate the accuracy of CTVision image-guided stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods 10 lung SBRT patients were imaged with CTVision before and after irradiation for acquiring and analyzing the three-dimensional set-up error data sets in our department from October 2010 to May 2012.Gross tumor volumes (GTVs) were contoured on pre-and post-SBRT CT sets and combined for generating internal gross tumor volumes (IGTVs).Planning target volume (PTV) margin was calculated, and IGTVs and PTVs were compared for off-line verification of accuracy of SBRT.A paired t-test statistical analysis was conducted with the datasets using SPSS 17.0.Results 80 CT image sets were totally obtained.Setup errors was significant difference before and after radiotherapy in the left-right,superior-inferior and anterior-posterior directions, that were (-0.10±1.30) mmand (-0.15±1.31) mm (P=0.720),(0.18±1.32) mm and (0.18±1.43) mm (P =1.000) and (-0.08 ± 1.19) mm and (-0.13 ± 1.18) mm (P =0.750),respectively.IGTVs of ten patients were smaller than corresponding PTVs (13.53 cm3 and 37.84 cm3,P =0.000).Conclusion Accuracy and safety of SBRT could be verified by imaging with CTVision before and after delivery for non-small cell lung cancer.
