1.Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in pediatrics
International Journal of Pediatrics 2011;38(2):136-138
Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), which can reflect the 24h mean blood pressure, precisely characterize changes in blood pressure throughout daily activities and circadian rhythm, has been found to be superior to traditional blood pressure monitoring. ABPM is in more widespread use in recognition of children's white coat hypertension and masked hypertension, predicting target-organ damage, assessing the efficacy of antihypertentive drug treatment and distinguishing primary hypertension from secondary hypertension. The article summarizes the clinical applications of ABPM in pediatrics.

Objective: To establish a HPLC method for the determination of liquiritin、 liquiritigenin and iso liquiritigenin in Licorice Mixture. Methods: A Cromasil C 18 column was used. the mobile phase was methanol 0.5% acetic acid for gradient elution. Liquiritin、 liquiritigenin and iso liquiritigenin were determined by dual wavelength, ? 1=276 nm,? 2=372 nm.Results: The linear range of liquiritin was 50.0~1250.0ng, r= 0.9999; The average recovery was 98.30%, RSD =1.01%( n= 6). The linear range of liquiritigenin was 5.0~125.0 ng, r= 0.9998; The average recovery was 98.01%, RSD =0.68%( n= 6). The linear range of iso liquiritigenin was 3.0~6.0 ng, r= 0.9999. The average recovery was 98.37%, RSD= 0.89%( n= 6). Conclusion: This method is convenient, rapid and accurate. It can be used for quality control in production of Licorice Mixture.

Objective To clarify the involvement of the free fatty acids(FFA)and lipid peroxida-tion in rat pancreatic tissue during the development of pancreatic injuries inducecd by long-term high-fat diet.Mehtods The male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=72) were randomized into 6 groups (n=12).One group (group control) received standard chow for 18 weeks, the other five groups (group HFD) were fed with a high-fat diet respectively for 2, 4, 6, 10 and 18 weeks.Serum TG and TCH, the his-topathological changes, pancreatic malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) ac-tivity and the concentration of free fatty acids in pancreatic tissues were examined.Pancreatic fibrosis was assessed using Sirius Red staining. The expression of desmin, a smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), platelet-derived growth factor receptor type β (PDGFRβ) and transforming growth factor131 (TGFβ1) was determined with immunohistochemistry. Results Pancreatic MDA content, the number of desmin and α-SMA positive cells were significantly increased in all the HFD groups. The FFA content, PDGFRβ, and TGFβ1 in pancreatic tissues increased in rats of 2, 4 and 6 week HFD groups accompa-nied with typical histological alternations including edema, capillary vessels hyperplasia, and focal aci-nar degeneration, vaculation of acinar and islet cells. In 6, 10 and 18 weeks HFD groups, the lesions had progressed and acinar cell atrophy, fatty replacement, deposition of hemosiderin, and interstitial collagen deposition were observed. Conclusions The increased amounts of FFA and lipid peroxidant in pancreatic tissues are associated with pancreatic cell injuryies and synthesis of collagen by activated PSCs during the chronic high-fat diet intake.

Objective:To explore the language deficits in a single case of posterior aphasic to test the dual-system model of language processing and provide neurolinguistic basis for clinical language therapy.Method:A circumscribed posterior aphasic was selected, whose language data were collected through spontaneous talk,WAB test, and other language production tasks including picture-naming and sentence repetition. The language data were analyzed with the emphasis on syntax-lexicon dissociation and noun-verb dissociation.Result:For the posterior aphasic, lexicon was severely impaired while syntax was preserved relatively well;in comparison to lexical production, lexical comprehension was preserved better;noun-verb dissociation, especially NSD,was discovered. Conclusion:The syntax-lexicon dissociation and the relevant noun-verb dissociation can serve as powerful evidence for the dual-system model of language processing, and throw light on language therapy for posterior aphasics.

China Oncology 2016;26(5):466-470
Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC) comprise a heterogeneous group of tumors characterized by poor survival and lack of targeted therapeutics. In recent years, androgen receptor (AR) has been demonstrated to play an important role in the genesis and development of TNBC. There has been increased interest in the role of AR in TNBC and AR-targeting has been introduced as a novel therapeutic option for TNBC. This review offers an overview of the relationship between AR expression and TNBC, and provides insights into the novel drugs in the development for targeting this signaling pathway.

80% of low density area in tumor), 10 PR(50%-80%) and 3 NC(0.05). Conclusion For tumor treated with hyperthermia plus radiotherapy, the response evaluation should be based on both the change in the mass size and the percentage of low density area in the tumor.

Objective To comparatively investigate the adhesive capabilities of sodium alginate and guar gum as bone adhesives. Methods The adhesive capabilities were analysed and discussed by measuring their kinetic viscosities, solidification time and the reaction with calcium ions. Results Guar gum had higher kinetic viscosity and could fit to the supply of both ion calcium and non-ion calcium for the bone cure, but its capability of solidification need to be improved.Sodium alginate had higher solubility and its solidification could be finished in short time, but it had lower viscosity and fit only to the non-ion calcium supply. Conclusion Sodium alginate and guar gum are considered to be the potential natural materials of the bone adhesives.
