1.The research progress on machine perfusion preservation of livers
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2014;20(5):391-395
Liver transplantation is currently the only treatment option for end-stage liver disease, but it is limited by the lack of high quality donor livers. The ongoing liver donor shortage could be alleviated by the consequent expansion of do-nor criteria to include the use of livers that would once have been discarded as unsuitable, marginal livers.Static cold storage, the current gold standard of organ preservation,is incapable of reversing the ischemic damage these organs have sustained. In hepatic transplantation, the limitations of cold storage are reflected in the significantly higher rates of early al]ograft dysfunction, primary non-function,and local ischemic cholangiopathy, especially seen with older, steatotic and donation after cardiac death (DCD) grafts. The existing cold storage technology has restricted the use of this kind of organs and machine perfusion preservation technology becomes an alternative choice. In this paper,we review the research progress on machine perfusion preservation of livers, and introduce the normothermic machine perfusion.
2.Progress in The Relation Between Inhibitors of Differentiation and Cancer
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;0(09):-
The ubiquitously expressed family of Id(inhibitor of differentiation) helix-loop-helix(HLH) proteins function as dominant negative regulators of basic HLH (bHLH) transcriptional regulators. In eukaryotic organisms, Id proteins have been implicated in development, cell differentiation, proliferation, angiogenesis, invasion and migration. Recent studies revealed that Id proteins are not only significantly correlated with cancer progression and prognosis, but also exploited as a tumor therapeutic target. The roles of Id proteins in tumorigenesis were reviewed and the opportunities of Id proteins in cancer targeted therapy were discussed.

OBJECTIVETo explore the quantitative relationship between the dust mass concentration and fiber number concentration of refractory ceramic fibres.
METHODSA typical refractory ceramic fiber plant was selected as the study site. Fifty-three paired samples of total dust mass concentration and fiber number concentration were collected using the long-time fixed site mode. The total dust mass concentration was measured according to the GBZ/T 192.1-2007 (Measurement of dust in the air of workplace, part 1: Total dust concentration). Membrane filter method/phase-contrast optical microscopy was used to determine the fiber number concentration. Univariate analysis was used to describe the distribution of the two concentrations and their ratio. Spearman rank correlation, as well as linear regression, logarithmic curve, polynomial, power function, and exponential curve model, were used to explore the relationship between the two concentrations. Results The range of the total dust mass concentration (x) was 0.45-13.82 mg/m3. The range of the fiber number concentration (y) was 0.01-1.04 f/ml. The range of the ratio (x/y) was 4-158. All of the three parameters did not follow normal distribution (P<0.000 1). The two concentrations showed a positive correlation (r,=0.705 22, P< 0.000 1). All the coefficients of determination (R2) of linear regression, logarithmic curve, polynomial, power function, and exponential curve model were relatively low. The trinomial curve model had the highest R2 (0.6848) and the fitted equation was y=-0.001, 1x+0.010 4x2+0.101 4x-0.055 1.
CONCLUSIONThere is a positive correlation between the total dust mass concentration and fiber number concentration of refractory ceramic fibers. However, there is no fixed regression relationship between the two concentrations, and neither is a definite coefficient which can be used to convert each other. The two concentrations cannot be replaced by each other.

Chinese Journal of Marine Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Objective Agaro-oligosaccharides have been proved to possess the antioxidative ability in vitro. This work focus on the preparation of agaro-oligosaccharides and their antioxidant effect in vivo. Method Agaro-oligosaccharides were hydrolytically obtained and the activated carbon column was used to purify the oligosaccharides. The antioxidative effects of the 10 % ethanol eluted fraction on tissue peroxidative damage induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4) was also investigated in rat. Result Agarobiose of high purity was consequently eluted from chromatography in the fractions of 5 % and 8 % ethanol, agarotetraose and agarohexaose in 10 % to 15 % ethanol, as well as high degree of polymerization (DP) oligosaccharides in 25 % ethanol. The antioxidative results indicated that agaro-oligosaccharides could elevate the activities of SOD, GSH-Px and decrease the level of MDA, GPT, GOT significantly. At a dose of 400 mg?kg~ -1, MDA level was reduced 44 % and 21 % in liver and heart, the activities of SOD and GSH-Px would amount to the peak value in liver and serum, while GPT level was decreased 22 % in serum. Conclusion The purity of agaro-oligosaccharides with different range of DPs was improved by activated carbon column, which possesses the property of different absorbance ability towards oligosaccharides with various DPs and high isolating capability. The animal test also indicated that agaro-oligosaccharides could inhibit the oxidative damage in vivo.

Chinese Journal of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Diseases 2015;33(6):422-426
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the monitoring and early warning functions of the occupational disease reporting system right now in China, and to analyze their influencing factors.
METHODSAn improved audit tool (ODIT) was used to score the monitoring and early warning functions with a total score of 10. The nine indices were completeness of information on the reporting form, coverage of the reporting system, accessibility of criteria or guidelines for diagnosis, education and training for physicians, completeness of the reporting system, statistical methods, investigation of special cases, release of monitoring information, and release of early warning information.
RESULTSAccording to the evaluation, the occupational disease reporting system in China had a score of 5.5 in monitoring existing occupational diseases with a low score for release of monitoring information; the reporting system had a score of 6.5 in early warning of newly occurring occupational diseases with low scores for education and training for physicians as well as completeness of the reporting system.
CONCLUSIONThe occupational disease reporting system in China still does not have full function in monitoring and early warning. It is the education and participation of physicians from general hospitals in the diagnosis and treatment of occupational diseases and suspected occupational diseases that need to be enhanced. In addition, the problem of monitoring the incidence of occupational diseases needs to be solved as soon as possible.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of a three-dimensional motion analysis system by using the body segmental method for testing the balance of hemiplegic stroke patients. Methods Twenty stroke patients with hemiplegia were measured using the lower extremity Fugl-Meyer motor assessment (FMA-L),the Brunel balance assessment (BBA),the Berg balance sale (BBS) and a 5 m timed up-and-go test (5m-TUGT).The three-dimensional motion analysis system using the body segmental method was applied in three positions-sitting,standing and walking.Spearman's rank correlation coefficient was used to determine the extent of correlation between the values measured by the three-dimensional motion analysis system and the FMA-L,BBA,BBS and 5m-TUGT results. Results Some motion analysis variables (MSAx,MSVx,MSAy,MSVy and SPxy,SP3-D) are recorded in sitting and standing, while the center of gravity (COG) swing in the horizontal plane and some other variables (MSAx,MSVx and SPxy and SP3-D) are measured while walking.Anterior-posterior COG swing had a high negative correlation with the FMA-L,BBA and BBS scores and a high positive correlations with 5m-TUGT times. But except in sitting,MSAz and MSVz were both uncorrelated with FMA-L,BBA or BBS scores or with 5m-TUGT times.COG swing in the horizontal plane in sitting and standing apparently correlates with lower extremity motor function, balance, and walking ability. However, only the X axis swing parameters of the COG while walking correlated with lower extremity motor function, balance or walking ability. Conclusions A three-dimensional motion analysis system using the body segmental method can be used clinically to monitor patients' balance in real time and dynamically in different positions and activities, and it can be used to predict motor function and balance control in hemiplegic stroke patients.
