1.Analysis of Relation between Clinical Applications of Dachaihu-Decoction and Its Pharmacological Actions
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(07):-
Objective:To explore the pharmacological basis of clinical application of Dachaihu Decoction. Methods: The relevant relation between cilnical features of Dachaihu Decoction and its pharmacological actions are analysed. Results: The various clinical curative effects rest on its relevant pharmacological actions. Conclusion: The good clinical curative effects will be achieved according to Dachaihu Decoction.
2.Effects of genistein on expression of nuclear factor-?B and levels of tumor necrosis factor-? in asthma patients
Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2004;0(09):-
AIM: To investigate the effects of genistein on the expression of nuclear factor-?B (NF-?B) and the levels of tumor necrosis factor-? (TNF-?) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of asthma patients. METHODS: PBMCs were isolated from blood samples of 32 asthma patients and 31 healthy persons, which was divided into control groups, dexamethasone-treated groups and genistein-treated groups. The expression of NF-?B was analyzed by immunocytochemical staining. The level of TNF-? was measured by radioimmunoassay. RESULTS: The percentage of NF-?B-positive cells in PBMCs and the level of TNF-? in PBMCs culture supernatants were significantly higher in asthma patients than in healthy persons (all P

Objective To make specific clear labels which can lead us to easily distinguish tube category, function, the drainage of fluid properties and so on,and to improve the safety of patients tube management. Methods Using BarTender software to create labels format, and printing out all kinds of the labels by bar code printer, pasting around at suitable locations. Results Labels designed and printed by Bar-Tender software could be more efficient, accurate and clear to mark patients’drain, which avoided illegible writing. Conclusion Labels de-signed and printed by BarTender software can help doctors and nurses identifying the tube and handover management.

China Pharmacy 2007;0(32):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the clinical features of adverse drug reactions(ADR)in our hospital.METHODS:A total of 95 ADR cases reports collected in our hospital in 2006 were analyzed statistically and retrospectively.RESULTS:Of the 95 ADR cases, adults aged 19~60a took the lead(52.6%),intravenous drip(51.6%)took the lead,65.3% were caused by antibacterials, lesions of skin and the appendants were the most common manifestations, accounting for 41.1%.CONCLUSION:Great importance should be attached to the monitoring of ADR and publicizing of ADR knowledge to improve rational drug use level.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 1995;0(10):-
Objective To observe the changes of plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and endothelin (ET) during propofol-induced anesthesia and intubationMethods Thirty-six patients were randomly allocated to receiving intravenous administration with propofol 2mg/kg ( group PP, n=20) or sodium thiopental group (SP, n=16) The venous bloos samples were taken to measure the plasma CGRP and endothelin (ET) concentrations, together with systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), and heart rate (HR), immediately before induction, 2min after P or SP administration, 2min, 7min, 15min after intubationResults SBP decreased immediately after induction in both groups (P005), increased markedly in group SP (P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
To investigate whether liver ischemia and reperfusion directly affect functions of a remote organ (lung), we reproduced a model of hepatic lobar ischemia and reperfusion in rats. Twenty four healthy male SD rats were randomized into three groups (each group = 8) . Group A served as sham operated control group, group B was subjected to 90 min ischemia of a lobe of the liver, and group C animals underwent 120 min reperfusion, following 90 min ischemia of a liver lobe. In addition to histologic examination of the lung in each group, plasma tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF ?),interleukin 1?(IL 1?),alanine aminotransferase(ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) levels, total protein content in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and lung dry to wet weight ratio were respectively examined in A, B and C groups. Blood pressures were monitored in each group. Histological manifestations of damage to the lung occured in groups B and group C were characterized by obvious intra alveolar and interstitial edema with inflammatory cellular infiltration. Plasma ALT, AST, LDH, were significantly increased in group C animals ( P

Recently, there is a gradual increase in the incidence of hyperlipidemic pancreatitis with high serum triglyceride (TG) levels. The treatments include general measures,lipid-lowering drugs, blood purification, low molecular weight heparin and insulin, traditional medicine, improving microcirculation, surgical therapy and gene therapy. The prevention of recurrence of hyperlipidemic pancreatitis is different from other types of pancreatitis.

Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment based on the retrospective clinical analysis of 86 patients with leishmaniasis, an endemic disease caused by various species of Leishmania. Methods The data of 86 consecutive patients with visceral leishmaniasis and lymph node leishmaniasis were retrospectively reviewed, including epidemiological data, clinical manifestations, laboratory features, diagnosis, therapeutic procedures and prognosis. Results There were specific endemic zones of leishmaniasis in Sichuan province. The main clinical symptoms and signs in the initial evaluation were: fever (100%), splenomegaly (100%), enlarged lymph nodes with hepatosplenomegaly (58.1%). All patients were treated with sodium pentavalent antimony gluconate (SPAG). About 95.3% (82/86) of the patients were cured, 3.5% (3/86) improved, and 1.2% (1/86) relapsed. Splenotomy was carried out for 2.3% (2/86) of the patients. The misdiagnosis rate was 30.2%.Conclusions Visceral leishmaniasis has no specific manifestations and is easily misdiagnosed. If leishmaniasis is suspected, bone marrow biopsy and smear examination, lymph node biopsy, rk-39 strip test for visceral leishmaniasis pathogen should be done to improve the outcome. SPAG is the first choice for leishmaniasis chemotherapy.

AIM: To investigate the antioxidant status and the oxidative damage of cellular macromolecules in patients with Graves' disease. METHODS: Fasting plasma level of total antioxidant capacity (TAC), and the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were measured in 31 patients with untreated Graves' disease and 31 treated Graves' disease. DNA damage of peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) was detected by single cell gel electrophoresis assay (expressed in comet percentage). In addition, thiol group (SH) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were measured. 31 age-matched healthy subjects were studied as a control group. RESULTS: Plasma TAC, SOD and GSH-Px were significantly lower in patients with untreated Graves' disease compared to the controls (P
