To study the antiarrhythmic effect of the newly developed alpha/beta-blocker TJ0711, a variety of animal models of arrhythmia were induced by CaCl2, ouabain and ischemia/reperfusion. Glass microelectrode technique was used to observe action potentials of right ventricular papillary muscle of guinea pig. The onset time of arrhythmia induced by CaCl2 was significantly prolonged by TJ0711 at 0.75, 1.5 and 3 mg x kg(-1) doses. TJ0711 (1.5 and 3 mg x kg(-1)) can significantly shorten the ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) duration, the incidence of VF and mortality were significantly reduced. On ischemia-reperfusion-induced arrhythmic model, TJ0711 (0.25, 0.5, 1 and 2 mg x kg(-1)) can significantly reduce the ventricular premature contraction (PVC), VT, VF incidence, mortality, arrhythmia score with a dose-dependent manner. At the same time, rats serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK) activities decreased significantly by TJ0711 (1 and 2 mg x kg(-1)). Ouabain could cause arrhythmia in guinea pigs, when TJ0711 (0.375, 0.75, 1.5 and 3 mg x kg(-1)) was given, the doses of ouabain inducing a variety of arrhythmia PVC, VT, VF, cardiac arrest (CA) were significantly increased with a dose-dependent manner. In the TJ0711 0.1-30 micromol x L(-1) concentration range, guinea pig right ventricular papillary muscle action potential RP (rest potential), APA (action potential amplitude) and V(max) (maximum velocity of depolarization) were not significantly affected. APD20, APD50 and APD90 had a shortening trend but no statistical difference with the increase of TJ0711 concentration. TJ0711 has antiarrhythmic effect on the sympathetic nerve excitement and myocardial cell high calcium animal arrhythmia model. Myocardial action potential zero phase conduction velocity and resting membrane potential were not inhibited by TJ0711. APD20, APD50 and APD90 were shortened by TJ0711 at high concentration. Its antiarrhythmic action mechanism may be besides the action of blocking beta1 receptor, may also have a strong selective blocking action on alpha1 receptor and reducing intracellular calcium concentration.

Molecularly imprinted polymers for dimethoate recognition were synthesized by the precipitation polymerization technique using methyl methacrylate (MMA) as the functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker. The morphology, adsorption and recognition properties were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), static adsorption test, and competitive adsorption test. To obtain the best selectivity and binding performance, the synthesis and adsorption conditions of MIPs were optimized through single factor experiments. Under the optimized conditions, the resultant polymers exhibited uniform size, satisfactory binding capacity and significant selectivity. Furthermore, the imprinted polymers were successfully applied as a specific solid-phase extractants combined with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for determination of dimethoate residues in the cucumber samples. The average recoveries of three spiked samples ranged from 78.5% to 87.9% with the relative standard deviations (RSDs) less than 4.4% and the limit of detection (LOD) obtained for dimethoate as low as 2.3μg/mL.

Objective To investigate the potential of inflammatory markers for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 272 consecutive patients with acute cerebral infarction were divided into a high hs-CRP group (hs-CRP level ＞3 mg/L) and a low hs-CRP group (hs-CRP level ≤3 mg/L),and their general information and medical history were collected.The Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment (TOAST) stroke subtype classification was conducted and scores of the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS),the Barthel index (BI) and the modified Rankin scale (mRS) were collected after admission.White blood cell count,blood glucose,blood homocysteine (Hcy) and C-reactive protein were measured within 24 hours following admission.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was performed to identify independent risk factors for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction.Results Between the high hs-CRP group and the low hs-CRP group,there were significant differences in the incidences of atrial fibrillation history,cardiogenic embolism of TOAST,blood homocysteine,blood glucose,white blood cell count,NIHSS,BI and mRS score 1,7,14 days after admission (P＜0.05 for all).The hs-CRP level (OR=0.876,P＜0.001,95％ CI:0.817-0.917),white blood cell count (OR=1.137,P=0.029,95％ CI:1.013-1.275),lipid metabolism disorders (OR=2.863,P＜0.001,95％ CI:1.561-5.250),and BI score (OR=1.038,P=0.047,95％ CI:1.001-1.077) 1 day after stroke were independent risk factors for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction.Conclusions Increased levels of the inflammatory marker hs-CRP and elevated white blood cell count may be independent risk factors for short-term prognosis of acute cerebral infarction.

Objectives To investigate the prevalence rate of periodontal diseases in the elderly aged 65～74 years in Haikou,and to provide basic data for the diseases prevention.Methods A total of 875 residents(aged 65-74 years)were selected using stratified random sampling in four areas of Haikou,and oral health checks were conducted.Results The prevalence rate of periodontal disorders,such as gingival bleeding,dental calculus,periodontal pockets was 57.8％,83.5％ and 24.0 ％,respectively.In average,9.2 (gingival bleeding),16.6 (dental calculus) and 1.7 (periodontal pockets)teeth were detected in each person.Detection rate of loss of periodontal attachment(LOA)of ≥4 mm(at least 1 teeth)was 55.7％,while the percentages of LOA ≥ 6 mm(at least 1 teeth)declined to 17.6％.Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that dentures were a risk factor for bleeding gums.With aging,risk of the formation of dental calculus became lower.The risk of the formation of dental calculus was 1.98 times higher for the elderly without denture than for the elderly with denture.The risk of the formation of periodontal pockets was higher in men than in women.The risk of the formation of periodontal pockets became higher in the elderly from poor families.The risk of the LOA≥ 4 mm was 1.40 times higher for rural original-addressed elderly than for urban originaladdressed elderly,and smoking and drinking were risk factors for LOA≥4 mm.Conclusions The periodontal health status of the elderly in Haikou is not optimistic.Factors affecting periodontal health are multifaceted.Therefore,appropriate measures should be taken to improve the oral health status of older persons.

Objective To study the feasibility and invasiveness of hand-assisted laparoscopic hepatectomy(HALH) for liver cancer.Methods Forty patients undergoing hepatectomy for liver cancer were randomly divided into HALH group and open hepatectomy(OH) group.Data of patients of two groups,Which included operating time,intraoperative blood loss,length of incision,postoperative flatus time,hospital stay,complications and C-reactive protein(CRP) were compared.Results The mean intraoperative blood loss,length of incision,postoperative flatus time,hospital stay and CRP in HALH group were significantly less than that in OH group;but there was no significant difference in operating time,or complication and recurrence rate.Conclusions HALH for liver cancer is less traumatic,and achieves faster patient recovery.It is feasible and safe in selected patients.

Objective To investigate the effect of liraglutide on the expression of NF-kappa B (NF-κB), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in renal tissue of insulin resistance rats. Method The rats were divided into 4 groups, control group ,high fat group ,liraglutide low dose group [100 μg/(kg· d)], liraglutide high dose group[100 μg/(kg·d)]. Detection of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen by automatic biochemical analyzer, and 24 h urine micro albumin was determined by immunoassay. The protein concentration of serum NF-κB,TNF-α and IL-6 was measured by ELISA. The expression of NF-κB,TNF-α and IL-6 mRNA in renal tissues was determined by RT-PCR. Results Compared with the control group, the serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen,urinary protein, and the expression of NF-κB, TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly higher in high fat group, respectively (P < 0.05). The glomerular basement membrance thickening and foot process fusion were seen under electron microscope. Liraglutide high dose intervention can significantly reduce these changes. Conclusions Liraglutide can inhibit the expression of NF-κB,TNF-α and IL-6 in renal tissues of high fat induced insulin resistance rats,in a concentration dependent manner, which possibly improve renal function.

Objective:To explore effect of early rehabilitation therapy on improving prognosis and quality of life (QOL) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) .Methods :A total of 120 AMI patients treated in our hospital were selected .According to random number table ,they were randomly and equally divided into routine treatment group (n=60 ,received routine treatment) and rehabilitation group (n=60 ,received routine treatment combined rehabilitation therapy ) .Clinical symptoms ,myocardial enzymes ,cardiac function indexes ,complications , QOL ,length of hospital stay and hospitalization cost were statistically analyzed and compared between two groups . Results :Compared with routine treatment group after treatment ,there were significant reductions in incidence rates of dizziness ,low back pain ,leg weakness ,constipation ,palpitations (P<0.05~ <0.01) ,abdominal distension and complications (36.7% vs .5.0% );significant rise in Barthel index [ (61.9 ± 8.7) scores vs .(86.4 ± 6.9) scores] , significant reductions in length of hospital stay [(13.8 ± 3.2) d vs .(5.9 ± 2.6) d] and hospitalization cost [(13600 ± 1450) RMB vs .(8600 ± 1240) RMB] in rehabilitation group ,P<0.05~ <0.01 .Conclusion:Early rehabilitation therapy can significantly improve prognosis and quality of life ,shorten length of hospital stay , lower hospitalization cost in patients with acute myocardial infarction ,which is worth clinical extending .

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of plasma ionized calcium (ICa) and total calcium (TCa) measurement in diagnosis of tumor-associated hypercalcemia. Methods The heparin lithium anticoagulated plasma were collected and measured with ion selective electrode (ISE) and orthocresolphthalein complexone (OCPC) method for ICa and TCa in 77 patients with malignant tumor (tumor group) and 44 healthy controls (control group). Meanwhile,plasma albumin and pH value were measured to correct TCa (cTCa) and ICa(nICa). The results were analyzed. Results The levels of cTCa,ICa and nICa in tumor group were significantly higher than those in control group(P＜ 0.01 ) ,but there was no significant difference of TCa between two groups (P ＞ 0.05 ). cTCa ＞ 2.70 mmol/L, nICa ＞ 1.35 mmol/L as the hypercalcemia eritical value, the positive rate of nICa and cTCa were 18.18% (14/77) and 6.49% (5/77)respectively,the difference was significant (P = 0.023). Conclusion Determination of ICa may be more clinical meaningful than TCa for tumor-associated hypercalcemia.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion-induced acute lung injury (ALl) and protective effect of ischemic postconditioning.Methods Forty SD rats were allocated to sham group,myocardial ischemia/reperfusion group (reperfusion group),ischemic postconditioning group (postconditioning group),and ischemic postconditioning + phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten (PTEN) inhibiting group (inhibitor group) according to the random number table,with 10 rats per group.Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion was induced by left anterior descending coronary artery occlusion.Postconditioning was performed within 1 minute before reperfusion consisting of 3 10 s cycles of reperfusion followed by 10 s occlusion.Lung was immediately removed 120 minutes after reperfusion for HE stain,immunohistochemical detection of inflammatory factors and apoptosis factors,TUNEL assay of cell apoptosis,and Western blot of protein kinase B (Akt),phospho-Akt (p-Akt),glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β),and phospho-GSK-3β (p-GSK-3β).Results Down-regulated B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2) and IL-10 and up-regulated Bcl-2 associated X protein (Bax),cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-3 (Caspase-3),IL-6 as well as IL-8 were observed in other 3 groups compared with sham group (P ＜0.01).Moreover,down-regulated Bax,Caspase-3,IL-6,IL-8 as well as TUNEL and up-regulated Bcl-2 as well as IL-10 were observed in reperfusion group compared to postconditioning group and tensor group (P ＜ 0.01).No statistical differences were found among the four groups in levels of Akt,p-Akt,and GSK-3β,but level of p-GSK-3β was significantly down-regulated in reperfusion group compared to other 3 groups(P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Development of ALI may relate to down-regulation of p-GSK-3β evoked directly by the release of inflammation factors in early period of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion and ischemic postconditioning may attenuate the condition.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of reducing spine metal artifacts with metal artifacts reduction technique (WARP) at 3.0 T MRI.Methods This study included 15 cervical and 14 lumbar spine cases.The image quality of WARP sequences and conventional sequences were compared (5 score evaluation scale) as well as the signal to noise ratio (SNR) and contrast noise ratio (CNR) of the image artifacts.The scanning time was recorded.Paired-t test and Mann-Whitney test were used respectively to compare the SNR and CNR,and qualitative scoring between the two sequences.P＜0.05 was considered to indicate a significant difference.Results The image distortion and blur of the WARP sequences were obviously reduced as compared to the conventional sequences.The SNR and CNR of artifacts of the WARP sequences were lower than that of the conventional sequences (All P＜0.05).The image quality scores of WARP sequences in cervical and lumbar spines[4(3 to 5) and 4(3 to 5)] were higher than that of conventional sequences[3(2 to 4),3(2 to 4)](P＜0.05).The scanning time of cervical spines in WARP sequence(14 min 9 s) was increased by 64 s (8.2％),and the time of lumbar spines (13 min 41 s) decreased by 9 s (1.1％).Conclusion The WARP sequences at 3.0 T could effectively reduce the artifacts of metallic prosthesis in cervical and lumbar spine without prolonging the scanning time at 3.0 T MRI.
