Journal of Practical Radiology 2014;(4):561-564
Objective To investigate the predictable value of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI)in hemorrhagic transforma-tion (HT)of ischemic stroke. Methods 48 patients with ischemic stroke were involved. The presence and features of HT on CT, T1 WI,DWI and SWI were observed,as well as the distribution and signal features of cerebral microbleeds (CMBs),abnormal visi-bility of venules on SWI sequence. The correlation between those imaging findings and HT were analyzed. Results HT was detected in 19 of 48 patients (39.6%).The sensibility of T1 WI,DWI,SWI in detecting HT were 68.4%,36.8%,100%,respectively.HT was significantly associated with abnormal visibility of venules within the infarction region. The incidence of HT greatly increased with the aggravation of CMBs.Conclusion SWI can be a sensitive predictor for HT,and it’s helpful in making clinical strategy for ischemic stroke.

Objective To investigate the chemical constituents of red algae Hypnea charoides. MethodsThe constituents were isolated by column chromatography and their structures were elucidated by chemical properties and spectroscopic analyses. Results Three compounds were isolated and their structures were identified as 3, 6-dimethyl-8-(4-methyleneheptan-3-yloxy) octane-1-amine (Ⅰ), palmitate-K (Ⅱ), and (2R, 1′S, 2′S, 3′R)-N-(1′-hydroxymethyl-2′, 3′-dihydroxy-heptadecenyl)-2-hydroxy-12, 13-methylene-tetracosanamide (Ⅲ). Conclusion Compounds Ⅰ and Ⅲ are new compounds named as charoidesine and charoidesamide.

Objective To explore the ultrasonographic features of yolk sac tumors of ovary. Methods Totally 12 patients (13 lesions) of the yolk sac tumors of ovary confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Two-dimensional ultra sonography, color Doppler and spectral Doppler features were observed and combined with clinical manifestations. Results Ultrasound showed 1 case with bilateral single lesion and 11 cases with unilateral single lesion, the median size of tumors was 11.82 cm × 11.19 cm.Thirteen lesions showed liquid-solid mixed echo, and the blood flows in solid region were ≥ grade Ⅱ according to Adlefs semi quantitative method, the resistance index of blood was 0.37 0.55;Six cases combined with abdominal cavity effusion.Pathology showed 2 cases combined with omentum or rectal pouch metastasis and 1 case was tubal, ovarian artery and vein invasion. Conclusion Ultrasound images in the yolk sac tumors of ovary have characteristics and diagnosis must closely combine with clinical manifestations, some cases still need to be confirmed by pathology and immunohistochemist r y.

Objective To explore the operating approaches through cavity for large tumors in sellar area. Methods The one side orbit-below frontal approach was used for 13 cases with large tumor on axial line from inside suprasellar and the orbit pterional approach was selected for 11 cases with larger tumor in suprasellar area or outside the area. Results Total removal was achieved in 9 cases, subtotal in 9 cases and partial in 6 cases. 1 patient died after operation. The rest recovered well recoveered without serious complication. Conclusions The two approaches have the merits of simple technique, exposing well, gentle brain pulling and few complication, which are suitable for operation on the large tumor in sellar area.

Journal of International Oncology 2017;44(4):313-316
In recent years, the research hot in the field of solid tumor and blood tumor focuses on the myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs).In tumors, MDSCs not only exert immunosuppression by inhibiting T cell proliferation, destroying the functions of natural killer cells and recruiting regulatory T cells, but also play non-immunosuppression roles in the promotion of angiogenesis and tumor metastasis. All of these hinder the anti-tumor therapy, and particularly affect the curative effect, which are related with a poor clinical prognosis.MDSCs can be used as prognostic markers, which provide new targets for immunotherapy.

Objective To observe the ultrasonographic and pathological features of metaplastic carcinoma with squamous cell component (MCSC) of the breast. Methods The ultrasonographic and pathological features of 7 patients with breast MCSC confirmed pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. Results Seven cases were single lesion and the maximal diameters of the lesions were 2.6-5.1 cm.On two-dimensional imaging,6 lesions with cystic and solid were complex echogenic, only 1 lesion was hypoechoic. All the lesions had irregular shape (lobulated)and indistinct margin. On CDFI imaging, most of lesions had rich blood flow signals with high resistance (resistance index 0.75-0.91),4 lesions were grade l,2 lesions were grade Ⅱ and 1 lesion was grade Ⅰ blood flow signals. On gross histopathological examination,6 masses had cystic cavity, only 1 mass was pure solid. On microscopic histopathological examination,5 masses were adenosqua mous carcinoma, only 2 masses were pure squamous cell carcinoma.Estrogen receptors, progesterone receptors and human epidermal growth factor receptor were negative in 4 masses (triple-negative breast cancer). Conclusion MCSC have some distinguished ultrasonic characteristics of larger volume,cystic-solid mixed echo, posterior echo enhancement, abundant vascularity with high resistance.

Objective To find whether CX3CR1 V249I and T280M are associated with CAD. Methods Database in English and Chinese, including PUBMED, EMbase, were searched to get the case-control studies on the associa-tion between V249I, T280M and CAD. Results Six studies were reviewed. The pooled OR of V249I compared to wild type allele was OR =0. 85(95% CI =0. 67 ~ 1. 08,P >0. 05). The pooled OR of T280M compared to wild type allele was OR =0. 82(95% CI =0. 70 ~ 0. 96, P < 0. 05). Conclusion The T280M is a protective factor of CAD, while the V249I is not associated with CAD.
