WTBZ]Breast cancer resistance protein (BCRP) is a recently discovered half-transporter belonging to the ABC transporter superfamily as P-glycoprotein(P-gp) and multiple resistance protein (MRP). The latest research results concerned BCRP on construction features of gene, relationship to differentiation of hemopoietic stem cell and correlated transport substrates were reviewed in the article and it's clinical significance was mentioned at the same time.

Objective The goal of this study is to know the level of radon in greenbelt soil in Chengdu city. Methods 152 monitoring sites were selected in the riverside, roadside, park, campus and residential area in Chengdu city. Concentration of radon in the soil was determined with KJD-2000R radon detector. Results Although the level of radon in the central area was higher than those in the peripheral area the level of radon in the riverside was higher than that in the parks, the mean level of radon investigated in this study (14 047 Bq/m3) was lower than the national mean level(7 300 Bq/m3). Conclusion It can be considered that the level of radon in the greenbelt soil in Chengdu city is in the normal range.

AIM: To investigate the role of phosphoinositide pathway in the formation of pressure-overload cardiac hypertrophy. METHODS: Cardiac hypertrophy was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats with coarctation of abdominal aorta, whole heart weight/body weight ratio was tested after 10 or 30 days of operation. Content of G?q/11 protein in left ventricle was detected by immunoblot analysis and concentration of IP 3 was measured by radioimmunoassay. RESULTS: At 10 and 30 days, whole heart weight/body weight ratio of coarctation aorta (CA) group was higher than that of sham-operated (SO) rats ( P 0.05). Background and purpose:Bladder cancer radical surgery is dififcult with many perioperative complications, and the learning curve is long. To introduce the clinical application of complete retrograde radical cystectomy and consequent abdominal cavity reconstruction in male bladder cancer, and to provide a standardized surgical procedure with minimum perioperative complications and short learning curve. Methods:From Apr. 2012 to Apr. 2013, 110 cases of male patients with bladder cancer received this procedure in our department, with a median age of 64 (35-83) years;Preoperative characters, surgical parameters, perioperative complications, pathology, long-term complications and short-term prognosis were collected and analyzed. Results:The median number of lymph nodes resected in operation was 12 (8-16);Neurovascular bundles were reserved bilaterally in 65 cases, and unilaterally in 31 cases;The complete procedure including urinary diversion took 4.4 (2.2-6.0) hours, with a median time of opened abdominal cavity of 43.0 (5.0-75.0) minutes;The median blood loss was 140.0 (50.0-600.0) mL, and 4 patients needed transfusion; Median time of abdominal and pelvic drainage was 10.0 (6.0-15.0) days, the median gastrointestinal recovery time was 2.5 (1.0-12.0) days, and the median postoperative hospital stay was 17.0 (10.0-39.0) days;Grade 2 Clavien-Dindo classiifcation (CDC) of surgical complications that required medical intervention were found in 19 cases, CDC grade 3 or above were found in 8 cases;Mild to moderate postoperative ileus happened in 5 cases, all recovered in median 2 (1-4) weeks with supportive treatments;There were no perioperative deaths. All samples were sent to pathological analyses. After a median follow-up of 9 (3-15) months, no complications of or above CDC grade 3 happened, and there were no recurrence. Conclusion:Complete retrograde radical cystectomy in male bladder cancer provided clear anatomical approach, reliable neurovascular bundle preservation, less blood loss, limited abdominal organs disturbance and better surgical exposure; With respect to tumor control, more peritoneal was retained for subsequent abdominal cavity reconstruction. The introduced procedure effectively speeded up gastrointestinal recovery, reduced postoperative complications, especially the incidence of ileus and its severity, and shortened hospital stay. The learning curve of this procedure for urologists was short, and further investigation was warranted.

ObjectiveTo investigate the influences of routine-dose loratadine on the positive patch test reaction to nickel sulfate.MethodsA double-blind,controlled and randomized study was carried out.A total of 121 patients with a positive patch test reaction to nickel sulfate were divided into two groups to receive loratadine 10 mg (experimental group,n =61 ) or placebo (control group,n =60) once daily for 14 days.The patch testing of nickel sulfate was performed on day 11,and clinical evaluation of the test was carried out on day 14 after the start of treatment.The intention to treat population was used for data analysis.ResultsNo changes were observed in the intensity of patch test reaction to nickel sulfate in 55 patients in the experimental group or 53 patients in the control group,and there was no significant difference between the two groups in the percentage of patients showing changes in the intensity of patch test reaction(9.8％ vs.11.7％,x2 =0.11,P ＞ 0.05).ConclusionThe routine-dose loratadine has no inhibitory effect on the intensity of skin patch test reaction to nickel sulfate.

The first case of acquired syphilitic skull osteitis accompanied by syphilitic meningitis in China is reported.A 55-year-old female presented with a persistent distending pain of the frontal and occipital regions of the skull for two months.T1 weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MR1) showed muhiple lesions in the skull and linear enhancement of the meninge near the lesions.The serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were positive for Treponema pallidum particle agglutination assay (TPPA) and rapid plasma reagin circle card test(at the dilutions of 1∶32 and 1∶4 respectively).The levels of leukocyte and protein were 10 ×106/L and 0.82 g/L respectively in CSF.TP DNA was detected in the calvarial periosteum.Histopathological examination of the frontal bone showed focally destructive osteolytic lesions with obscure texture of the bone,hyperemia around the destructive bone tissue and in dura mater-like tissues,proliferation of interstitial fibrous tissue,swelling of endothelial cells and inflammatory infiltration predominantly composed of abundant plasma cells.After managed with routine treatment regimen for neurosyphilis,her headache was relieved 3 days later,nearly disappeared 15 days later,completely disappeared 30 days later.No similar headache recurred.A 5year follow up demonstrated a satisfactory long-term and short-term outcome.She was finally diagnosed with syphilitic skull osteitis complicated by syphilitic meningitis.

Current research,application,advantages and disadvantages of wearable health monitoring items based on soft sensor technology in foreign countries and China were introduced and analyzed,and the application in diseases monitoring,emotion monitoring,monitoring of rehabilitation training,monitoring of sport training,operational safety monitoring in special environments,casualty search during war and disaster,monitoring of the elderly and children and etc were also described.The characteristics of the items were analyzed,and some countermeasures were put forward to solve the problems in materials safety,data quality,industrial standard,unclear efficacy and etc.The study and prospective of soft physiological sensing technology were expounded in detail.

Objective: To investigate the breakthrough points and methods of pharmaceutical care performed by clinical pharmacists for chemotherapy-induced Ⅳ degree myelosuppression.Methods: One advanced lung adenocarcinoma patient suffering from chemotherapy-induced Ⅳ degree myolosuppression was selected as the example, clinical pharmacists provided suggestions on the chemotherapy regimen, assisted physicians in making reasonable treatment plan and implemented comprehensive pharmaceutical care for the patient.Results: Clinical pharmacists played a positive role in the clinical treatment through the comprehensive pharmaceutical care in oncology department.Conclusion: With the professional knowledge of pharmacy, clinical pharmacists can improve the level of clinical rational drug use.

Objective To study the effect of the recombinant Lentivirus containing calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) gene on cells biological activity and differentiation of rat bone marrow stem cells(MSCs).Methods Rat MSCs were isolated and cultured by granulocytes adherent.MSCs were transfected with Lenti-EGFP CGRP(MSCsCGRP+/+ group),While MSCs were transfected with Lenti-EGFP as control group.Cell transfection rate was detected by flow cytometry,protein secretion in the above-mentioned MSCsCGRP+ + supernatant was detected using ELISA method.Cells surface markers weare detected by flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.Trypan blue was used to examin the survive rate,β galactosidase staining was used to examin aging of MSCs transfection,and MTT was used to examine cell vitality.Results At first day after transfecting with Lenti-EGFP-CGRP,fluorescence was not observed by fluorescence microscope,but a small amount of CGRP protein was detected by ELISA in MSCsCGRP+/+ group,at 3 days and 4 days after transfecting with MSCs,strong fluorescence was observed by fluorescence microscope (the cell transfection rates were 77.87％ and 79.58％).The CGRP expression was significantly higher in MSCsCGRP+ + group than in control group [(19.53±0.50) pg/ml vs.(3.12±0.00) pg/ml,t=48.964,P＜0.01].At three days after transfection with MSCs,CD29 and CD90 expression were significantly higher,as compared with control group,CD31 expression was increased in MSCsCGRP+ /+ group.Seven days after transfection with MSCs,CD31 expression was significantly increased in MSCsCGRP+ + group,vWF expression was significantly increased in MSCsCGRP+ + group after MSCs were transfected with LentiEGFP CGRP for 14 days,but a SMA expression was decreased in MSCsCGRP+ +group.At 3 days and 7 days after transfection with Lenti-EGFP-CGRP,the proliferation,survive and aging showed no difference in MSCsCGRP+/+group and in control group (the proliferation of cell:t=0.253,0.290the survive of cell t=-0.307,0.690,all P＞0.05).At 14 days after transfection with Lenti-EGFP-CGRP,aging of cell were decreased in MSCsCGRP+ + group as compared with control group (t=2.446,P＜ 0.05).Conclusions After MSCs are transfected with Lenti EGFP-CGRP,biological characteristics of MSCs has no significant effects,there is still proliferation and differentiation activity.Cell secretion of CGRP can promote the endothelial cell differentiation,and inhibit the differentiation to smooth muscle cells.The CGRP modification of MSCs may play a role in the regulation of angiogenesis.

Objective:To study the relationship between dynamic Hoffmann's sign(DHS) and the early diagnosis of cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Methods:Patients with neck, shoulder and back pain (218 cases) were employed in this investigation. Among them, 96 cases had positive reaction to DHS test and they received 3 7 years follow up as study group. The other 122 cases negative to DHS test were taken as control group. The clinical data included the patient's symptoms and signs, sagittal diameter of cervical spinal canal, Pavlov rate, angular displacement and horizontal displacement between cervical vertebral, etc . Results:There were 72 cases in study group developed cervical spondylotic myelopathy and needed operation during follow up. Meanwhile, 11 cases in control group received surgical treatment. The incidence of stenosis of cervical spinal canal, herniation of cervical intervertebral disc and instability of cervical spine in DHS group were significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion:DHS is closely related to the onset of cervical spondylotic myelopathy. The patients should be followed up closely if they present positive reaction to DHS, and should be operated on early when their neurological symptom is progressing.
