Objective To explore the effect of Vitamin K1(Vit K1), fresh frozen plasma (plasma) andcryoprecipitate on prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), fibrinogen original(Fbg), thrombin time (TT) of newborns with different gestational ages. Methods The serum of 1,134 newbornsfrom The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University was collected from February 2009 to September2012. All newborns had been divided into four groups (according to the gestational age of 28-31+6 weeks, 32-33+6weeks, 34-36+6 weeks and gestational age≥37 weeks).The effect of various interventions (Vit K1, Vit K1+plasmaand Vit K1+cryoprecipitate) on PT, APTT, Fbg, and TT had been recorded. Results (1)The PT and APTT ofeach group with the interventions of Vit k1 were significantly improved (P < 0.05). (2)The PT, APTT, Fbg and TTof each group with the interventions of Vit k1 combined with plasma were significantly improved (P < 0.05). (3)ThePT, APTT and Fbg of each group with the interventions of Vit k1 combined with cryoprecipitate were significantlyimproved (P < 0.05). (4)With Vit k1 combined with plasma, PT and APTT were mostly improved and Fbg wasimproved mostly with Vit k1 combined with cryoprecipitate. Conclusion Vitamin K1, fresh frozen plasma andcryoprecipitate can effectively improvedin the coagulation index of newborns with different gestational ages.

Objective To investigate the expression of kallikrein 9 (KLK9) in liver cancer and to determine its significance.Methods The expression of KLK9 in liver cancer was detected by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR techniques.Results The rate of expression of KLK9 protein in liver cancer tissues was significantly higher than paracarcinoma tissues and normal liver tissues (P ＜ 0.05).The expression of KLK9 mRNA in liver cancer cells was significantly higher than normal liver cells (P ＜ 0.05).The expression of KLK9 was related to metastasis,size of tumors,degree of malignancy and clinical staging of the liver cancer (P ≤ 0.05),but there was no associated with age,HbsAg and sex (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions KLK9 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of liver cancer.It may be used as a tumor marker and a prognostic factor.It may also provide a theoretical basis for the diagnosis and biological targeted therapy of liver cancer.

Objective To explore the application value of preoperative methylene blue staining in locating for the operation of intraspi-nal tumors. Methods The clinical data of patients with intraspinal tumors from September 2010 to September 2012 in our hospital were ret-rospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into tag group and control group according to whether stained by methylene blue or not. The operation time( min) ,intraoperative hemorrhage,the rate of total resection of tumor,spinal instability rate,tumor recurrence rate,and reopera-tion rate of two groups were compared. Results The operation time of tag group was significantly shorter than that of the control group. The amount of intraoperative bleeding was significantly less than that of in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0. 05). The total resection rate of tumor was significantly higher than that in control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0. 05). The spinal instability rate,tumor recurrence rate and operation rate of patients within 1 year in two groups were not significant. Conclusion The methylene blue method is simple and convenient,and provides favorable conditions for the operation,which reduces the operation time and intraoperative hemorrhage,increases the rate of complete tumor resection. There was no difference in recurrence rate,operation rate and the stability of the spine within 1 year compared to traditional method.

Objective To investigate the effect of α-tocopherol on fibrosis of chronic pancreatitis (CP) rat and explore its mechanism.MethodsMale Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group,acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP) group,α-tocopherol group.CP was induced by dibutyltindich loride ( 8 mg/kg) infusion into the tail vein.Gastric lavage of α-tocopherol (800 mg/kg body weight,daily) was started 24 hours after dibutyhindich loride infusion for 4 weeks.The rats in ANP and control group received 0.6 ml salad oil gastric lavage.The rats were sacrificed 4 weeks later.Pancreatic tissue was harvested for histological examination and collagen staining,and measurement of the levels of hydroxyproline and malondialdehyde (MDA) of the pancreas were performed.The mRNA expression of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β１ was measured by real time PCR.ResultsAfter gastric lavage for 4 weeks,the pancreatic tissue inflammation,fiber deposition and abnormal structure in rats of α-tocopherol group were greatly reduced.The levels of MDA and hydroxyproline in rats of α-tocopherol group were significantly lower than those in ANP group [ (0.40 ±0.20) vs (1.07 ±0.41) nmol/100mg,(402.49 ±27.62) vs (664.92 ±29.04) μg/g,P＜0.05].The expressions of TGF-β1 mRNA in rats of o-tocopherol group were significantly lower than those in ANP group (2.24 ± 0.89 vs 3.35 ± 0.66,P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Tocopherol gamma can improve pancreatic inflammation and fibrosis by reducing the oxidative stress level and down-regulating the expression of TGFβ1mRNA in rats with CP.

Clinical data of 80 patients with renal failure due to under detected causes(from January 1998 to June 2007)were retrospectively analyzed.Of 66 patients with acute renal failure(ARF),rhabdomyolysis was found in 45,tumor in 15,anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody(ANCA)related vasculitis in 2,infective endocarditis in 2,and hemolytic uremic syndrome in 2.Of 14 patients with chronic renal failure(CRF),primary hypothyroidism was seen in 3,multiple myeloma in 4,amyloidosis in 2,analgesic nephropathy in 3,and renal tuberculosis in 2.

Objective In order to improve blood donors to understand the health education knowledge,this study designed and evaluated a new project,that is the health education pathway for primary apheresis donors.Methods A total of 2900 primary apheresis donors participated in the current study,who were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group was performed the health education pathway for primary apheresis donors,while the control group was conducted in the traditional health educational ways.We compared the basic information,the awareness rate of apheresis donation knowledge,the number of regnlar/repeated donors,and the frequency of donations.Results Two groups were matched with no group differences in basic information (P＞0.05).After performed the health education pathway for primary apheresis donors,the awareness rate of apheresis donation knowledge was significantly improved from 23.6％ to 84.3％ (P＜0.01).Moreover,the percentage of regular donors (40.2％) in the experimental group higher than the percentage (26.7％) in the control group(P＜0.01).The average donation times of experimental group (3.8) was also higher than the control group.There were 79.2％ donors changed to regular/repeated donors higher than the percentage (66.4％) in the control group,and the average frequency of apheresis of those regular/repeated apheresis donors (7.4) in the experimental group higher than the control group (6.4) (P＜0.01).Conclusion As showed in our results,the health education pathway for primary apheresis donors could effectively help donors to understand the knowledge of blood donation and health care,and promote team construction of regular donors.We hope,in the future,the health education pathway for primary apheresis donors could be widely spread.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum 25-hydroxycholecalciferol [25(OH)D3] deficiency and the risk of peritoneal dialysis associated peritonitis.Methods Baseline clinical data (before the peritoneal dialysis catheter insertion) of peritoneal dialysis patients treated with CAPD in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from May 1,2013 to February 1,2016 were retrospective analyzed.All the patients were followed-up until July 31,2016.According to the baseline serum 25(OH)D3 levels,patients were divided into deficiency group (25(OH)D3 ＜ 15 ng/ml) and non deficiency group (25(OH)D3 ≥ 15 ng/ml),the baseline clinical data of the two groups were also analyzed.Kaplan-Meier method was used to compare the time-to-peritonitis of two groups.Cox proportional hazard model was used to analyze the relationship between the 25(OH)D3 deficiency and the risk of peritonitis.ROC curve was used to analyze the predictive value of the baseline serum 25(OH)D3 for the risk of PDAP in peritoneal dialysis patients.Results Compared with the 25(OH)D3 non deficiency group,25(OH)D3 deficiency group had a significant increase incidence of peritonitis,high diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure,but serum albumin,total serum protein decreased significantly (P ＜ 0.05).Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that,compared with 25(OH)D3 non deficiency group,the time-to-peritonitis episode of patients with 25(OH)D3 deficiency were shorter (P ＜ 0.05).Cox proportional hazard model showed that after adjusting for age,sex,hemoglobin,serum albumin,C-reactive protein,total Kt/V,eGFR,diabetes or not,25(OH)D3 deficiency is the independent risk factor of peritoneal dialysis associated peritonitis (HR 5.247,95％CI 1.180-23.340,P ＜ 0.05).ROC curve showed the area under the curve that baseline serum 25(OH)D3 deficiency predict the occurrence of PDAP was 0.714,and the best cut-off point of baseline serum 25(OH)D3 was 11.35 ng/ml (sensitivity 75％,specificity 63％).Conclusions Peritoneal dialysis associated peritonitis occurred earlier in peritoneal dialysis patients whose baseline serum 25(OH)D3 deficiency.Baseline serum 25(OH)D3 deficiency is the independent risk factor of peritoneal dialysis associated peritonitis,which may predict the incidence of peritoneal dialysis associated peritonitis.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of annular electrode lacrimal duct reconstruction in improving the safety and efficacy of nasolacrimal duct stent implantation for treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction.

METHODSThis randomized clinical trial was performed to compare the efficacy, success rate of intubation, time used for stent implantation, intraoperative pain, and extubation-assciated complications between nasolacrimal stent implantation with and without annular electrode lacrimal duct reconstruction.

RESULTSA total of 119 eligible patients were enrolled in this trial. The total curative rate at 6 months of follow up after extubation was 70.9% (83/117) in these patients, and was significnatly higher in pateinets with lacrimal duct reconstruction than in those without [80.6% (54/67) vs 58.0% (29/50); χ(2)=7.093, P<0.05]. The total success rate of stent implantation was 98.3% (117/119) in all the patients initially enrolled, and two patients experienced failure of stent implantation and were excluded; the success rate was signfiicantly higher in patients initially enrolled in the lacrimal duct reconstruction group (χ(2)=6.282, P<0.05). The median time required for intubation was shorter in lacrimal duct reconstruction group (12 s vs 33 s; Z=-36.722, P<0.05). The intendity of intraoperative pain was comparable between the two groups (t=0.833, P=0.405). The total rate of puncta injury was 43.6% (51/117) in these patients and similar between the two groups (χ(2)=1.459, P=0.227). The total rate of extubation difficulty was 9.4% (11/117) in all the patients, and was lower in lacrimal duct reconstruction group [4.5% (3/67) vs 16% (8/50); χ(2)=4.463, P<0.05]. Stent breakage in extubation occurred in 4.3% (11/117) of the patients with similar rates between the two groups (χ(2)=2.964, P=0.085). Spearman bivariate correlation analysis showed that the time required for intubation was inversely correlated with the treatment efficacy (r=-0.584, P<0.05) and positively with the occurrence of extubation difficulty (r=0.491, P<0.05); extubation difficulty was inversely correlated with the curative effect (r=-0.511, P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONAnnular electrode nasolacrimal duct reconstruction can increase the safety and efficacy of nasolacrimal duct stent implantation for treatment of nasolacrimal duct obstruction.

Objective To investigate the differences of HCV infection rates among blood donors of different Chinese nationalities.Methods Anti-HCV results from more than 300000 blood donors of 41 nationalities from 8 provinces or autonomous regions were investigated and analyzed.Serum anti-HCV antibody was tested by ELISA.Results(1)The anti-HCV prevalence rate was 0.98%(676/68782) among first time blood donors;0.71%(1750/245137) among repeated donors;and the overall anti-HCV prevalence rate among all the blood donors was 0.77%(2426/313919).The anti-HCV prevalence rate was higher among first time donors,compared to repeated donors(P

-β2 was positively correlated with OPG (r=0. 432,P<0. 01). Conclusions The reference ranges of serum TGF-β1 and TGF-β2 in healthy adult females are established. Both TGF-β1 and TGF-β2 of them are correlated with OPG and ieptin.
