Objective To study the protective effect of Mailuoning on ischemia/reperfusion injury in extremities. Methods The experimental models of ischemia/reperfusion injury in extremities were produced in 20 healthy adult rabbits, which were randomly divided into control group and Mailuoning group (10 rabbits each). Normal saline and Mailuoning injection were infused intravenously into ear margin of rabbits in the control group and Mailuoning group respectively just before blood reperfusion. At preischemia, two hours post ischemia, one hour post reperfusion and four hours post reperfusion, blood sample was collected from the femoral veins respectively for measurements of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine kinase (CK), malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). Meanwhile, the tibialis anterior muscles were harvested for examination of the microstructure and the ultrastructure by using optical microscope and electron microscope. Results The contents of AST, LDH, CK, MDA increased significantly ( P

Objective To evaluate the effect of volume management on volume overload among continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD).Methods The literature were searched by the databases of PubMed,ScienceDirect,Ovid,Cochrane Library,Chinese Science and Technology Periodical Databases (VIP),China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI).Data were analyzed with RevMan5.0 software. Results Ten literatures were included in this study. The results of Meta-analysis revealed that volume management could significantly reduce the body weight, degree of edema and systolic blood pressure. However,no significant difference on the diastolic blood pressure appeared. Conclusions Body weight, degree of edema and systolic blood pressure can be improved by effective volume management.Further study about effect of volume control on diastolic blood pressure should be provided in the future.

Objective To evaluate the effect of nursing interventions on the quality of life of patients undergoing continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD).Methods Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving nursing interventions were collected from the databases of Cochrane,PubMed,Elsevier Science Direct,VIP,CNKI and WanFang.Data were analyzed with RevMan 5.1 software. Results 8 articles met the inclusion criteria. The results of Meta-analysis showed that there was considerable heterogeneity across the analysis, which might be resulted from length of intervention and patients of different ages according to subgroup analysis, and that gender was not the factor causing heterogeneity. In the experimental group, both physical and emotional aspects after receiving nursing interventions were significantly improved than the control group. Conclusions Nursing interventions can improve the quality of life of patients with CAPD.

chronic cervicitis(0%),(P=0.000).The positive rates of EPMMPRIN overexpression in metastatic lymph nodes was 54.5%(12/22),no difference was found from corresponding primary tumor(72.7%,P=0.210).But EMMPRIN overexpression in primary tumor was related to lymph node metastasis(P=0.026),no relationship was found between EMMPRIN expression and other clinical-pathological parameters.Univariate analyses revealed that EMMPRIN expression did not correlate to tumor-specific survival. In contrast, lymph vascular space invasion, deep stromal invasion and lymph node metastasis were significantlyassociated with poor prognosis. In multivariate analysis,lymph-node metastasis was the independent prognostic factor for tumor-specific survival(P=0.006;HR=0.038;95% confidence interval,0.0190.763).Conclusion:EMMPRIN overexpression may play an important role in progression of human cervical cancer, and in the development of cervical cancer from CIN.

Objective To investigate the correlation between serum cystatin C (CysC) levels and cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods The patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled.Susceptibility weighted imaging was used to identify the presence of CMBs.Particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay was used to detect the levels of serum CysC.Results A total of 485 patients with acute ischemic stroke were enrolled, including 151 (31.1%) with CMBs.The level of serum CysC of the CMB group was significantly higher than that of the non-CMB group (1.24± 0.13 mg/L vs.1.02± 0.11 rmg/L; t=4.261,P< 0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the increased serum CysC level was an independent risk factor for the presence of CMBs in patients with acute ischemic stroke (each increase in one standard deviation, odds ratio 4.063,95% confidence interval 2.142-8.127; P <0.001).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the number of CMBs in patients with acute ischemic stroke increased with the increasing serum CysC level after adjusting for other confounders (r2 =0.361,P =0.017).Conclusions In patients with acute ischemic stroke, the serum CysC levels are independently associated with the CMBs,and the number of CMBs increases with the serum CysC level.

Objective To evaluate the effect of self-management interventions on the quality of life of patients with heart failure(HF).Methods The randomized controlled trials(RCTs)taking self-management interventions were collected from the databases of EMBASE,Medline,VIP,CNKI and WanFang.Data were analyzed with RevMan 5.1 software. Results 12 articles met the inclusion criteria. There was considerable heterogeneity across the analysis, which might be result from length of intervention, age and NYHA classification according to subgroup analysis.Self-management interventions could significantly improve the quality of life of patients with HF,including both physical and emotional aspects. Conclusions Self-management interventions can improve the quality of life of patients with heart failure.

Objective The aim of the study is to explore the sexual life situation of adult males with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD).Methods Data of experience about sexual life of 12 male CAPD patients was collected using in-depth interview and were analyzed with category approach. Results Five themes were sublimated:declined sexual desire, decreased self-confidence to get and to maintain an erection, restraint of sexual life, changes in sexual and marriage satisfaction, and urgent desire for sexual knowledge. Conclusions There are varying degrees of sexual dysfunction in adult male CAPD patients.Nurses should pay attention to and supply the education of sexual knowledge.

Objective To explore factors affecting long-term compliance to weight management (WM) of patients with congestive heart failure (CHF)and to provide evidence for improving patients' compliance. Methods In-depth semi-structured interviews based on reinforcement theory were conducted among 18 CHF patients who received WM intervention over 6 months. The data were analyzed by Colaizzi analysis program. Results Three themes were found:precipitating factors such as the correct perception of disease and self-efficacy,the factors of positive reinforcement such as early gains from WM,readmission,follow-up,family and social support,as well as the factors of negative reinforcement such as gaining nothing during long period, physical and mental disorders. These above factors made long-term compliance to WM of 50% of the participants dynamic and fluctuant. Conclusions Medical staff should identify patients'compliance at different stages in time during follow-up,analyze the factors that affect their compliance, and then grasp the optimal timing of intervention to perform targeted, multiform and multiple health education to improve compliance.

Objective To explore the impact of intervention of weight management (WM)on readmission rate of patients with congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods sixty-six CHF patients were divided into the control group(34 cases)and the intervention group(32 cases). The patients in the intervention group received the weight management intervention for 6 months after discharge, while the control group was carried on the conventional education and follow-up.The ability of WM and readmission rate of patients due to onset of CHF were compared between the two groups. Results Six months after the intervention, significant differences were found on the scores of weight monitoring,WM related-knowledge,belief and practice in the intervention group, but only WM related-practice was improved in the control group. The readmission rote due to onset of CHF was reduced in the intervention group. Conclusions WM intervention could significantly improve the ability of WM and reduce readmission rate due to CHF onset of CHF patients.
