1.The Effect of Modern Science and Technologies on Human Reproductive Behavior
Chinese Medical Ethics 1995;0(04):-
With the development of modern medical science and technology, especially modern assisted reproductive technologies, the natural attribute of human reproductive behavior is being increasingly eliminated by its social attribute. The quantity and quality of reproduction have direct influence on the status of social existence and development, thus human have made more and more interfere in human reproductive behavior for social benefits by controlling the demand of childbearing, changing the manner of reproduction, and designing and choosing the result of childbearing. The interference is eliminating the connection of reproduction and sexes, and breaking the original stable social relation based on natural order. While the nature attribute of human reproductive behavior is being eliminated, the urgent problem facing modern people is how to rebuild the stability of social order.

AIM: To evaluate effects of rutecarpine on the movements of gastrointestinal tract in experimental animals. METHODS: In mice, the accelerated movement model of intestinal transit was induced by neostigmine, and metoclopramide or apoplon was applied to induce the accelerated gastric emptying movements. Acetylcholine or histamine was used to induce the contractions occurring in the isolated ileum from guinea pigs. RESULTS: Rutecarpine inhibited normal intestinal transit and demonstrated more effective suppression on the accelerated movement induced by neostigmine in mice; meto- clopramide and apoplon induced-accelerated gastric emptying movements were also significantly inhibited by rutecarpine in a dose-dependent manner. Meanwhile rutecarpine significantly inhibited the isolated ileum contractions induced by acetylcholine or histamine. CONCLUSION: Rutecarpine is an effective inhibitor to intestinal motility and this activity is probably mediated by its antagonistic effects on the cholinergic nerve or its responsible modulations.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
To find the rule of alterations in AFP mRNA concentration in peripheral blood in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) before and after the treatment with transhepatic arterial chemotherapy and embolization(TAE), 15 cases of the pateints with HCC were included in this survey. The AFP mRNA concentration in peripheral blood of the patients were investigated using compatitive RT PCR technique before and 1,2,3,4, 5,6,7, 14, 28 days after TAE. The results showed that AFP mRNA concentration on the third day after TAE was the highest. It declined to the level before treatment during one week.It suggested that AFP mRNA concentration changed with a rule, and following the rule, preventive measure to distant metastasis could be instituted in clinical work.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 1999;0(04):-
AIM: To evaluate its pharmacodynamic effects of zhi-chuan-ling (ZCL) oral liquor, a traditional Chinese medicinal prescription, on asthma. METHODS: Asthma models of guinea pigs were established by aerosol inhalation of mixed solution of histamine and acetylcholine for the observation of effects of ZCL on the latent period of asthma attack. Some other indices were also investigated including the contraction of smooth muscle strips isolated from the trachea or intestinum ileum, and variations of the tracheal volume and the bronchotracheal perfusion in guinea pigs. RESULTS: ZCL elongated the latent period of asthma attack induced by areol inhalation of mixed solution of histamine and acetylcholine, antagonized activities against the contraction of the trachea and intestinum ileum induced by histamine or acetlcholine, and increased the tracheal volume and the bronchotracheal perfusion in ginea pigs in vitro. CONCLUTION: ZCL can reduce airway hyperresponsibility, relax bronchospasm, remit ventilation disturbance, and improve ventilatory function by its biologic activities against acetlcholin and histamine.

Objective To study the effect of flee radical on kidney repedusion injury caused by infra-renal abdominal aorta occlusion in rat model and its possible mechanism. Methods Forty-two healthy Wis-ter rats were randondy divided into 6 groups as following ( n = 7) : the control group( sham group) ; simply isehemia 5 h without reperfusion( group I) ; 2 hours reperfusinn following ischemia 5 h ( I/R 2 h), 4 honrs reperfusion following isebemia 5 h ( I/R 4 h), 8 hours reperfusinn following ischemia 5 h( I/R 8 h) and 12 hours reperfusion following ischemia 5 h ( I/R 12 h). In each group the rats were killed to obtain samples of blood and kidney at the specified time points. The contents of BUN, Cr, MDA, SOD in blood and in renal homogenate were measured in each group. We observed the morphological changes of kidney and muscles of lower limb by light microscope. Results BUN level of serum in model group I, I/R 2 h, I/R 4 h, I/R 12 h were higher obvionsly than those of control group, which were maximal in I/R 4 h, then decreased. MDA level of plasma in model group I, I/R 2 h, I/R 4 h, I/R 8 h, I/R 12 h groups were higher obvionsly than those of control group, which were maximal in I/R4 h group, then decreased. SOD level of plasma in model I/R 4 h, I/R 8 h groups were lower obviously than those of control group; SOD level of renal homogenate in model group I, I/R 2 h, I/R 8 h, I/R 12 h groups were higher obviously than those of group I/R 4 h, which were minimal in I/R 4 h group, then increased. By light microscope: The injury degree of kidney and muscles of lower limb in ischemia group was slight, the injury degree of repedusion group was severer than ischemia group. Conclusion The kidney repedusion injury caused by infrarenal abdominal aorta occlusion in rat model might be concerned with the increase of lipid peroxidatian damage after ischemia-repedusion in-jury of lower limbs.

Objective To discuss the necessity and rationality of regional pancreatoduodenectomy combined vas-cular reconstruction in the treatment of chronic pancreatitis with lump in the head. Methods Thirteen patients who suffered from pancreas with lump in the head, were operated in our department from January 2000 to March 2006. The clinical data were analyzed retrospectively, there were 10 men and 3 women with an age ranging from 37 to 71 (mean = 51 ), all the patients underwent pancreatoduodenectomy combined PV and SMV reconstruction. Results All thirteen patients were pathologically confirmed chronic pancreatitis without postoperative deaths, in which stom-ach empty disorder and pancreatic fistula occurred and were cured conservatively in one case. All the 13 patients who were followed up 19~86 months had no pain and jaundice at all after the operation. Conclusion Combined vascular reconstruction to treat the lump in the head of the pancreas that packages blood vessel and hard to separa-tion is proved to be a safe and reliable method, being capable of raising lump resection rate, which can improve quality of life of patients remarkably to avoid omit minimum cancer in lump to result in lose the curative opportunity.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(33):5364-5370
BACKGROUND:Apoptosis of chondrocytes eventualy leads to osteoarthritis. New studies find many mechanisms of chondrocyte apoptosis, but the mechanism of endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced chondrocyte apoptosis is stil in the first stage. OBJECTIVE: To review how the endoplasmic reticulum stress causes the chondrocyte apoptosis and to explore a new method of treatment for osteoarthritis. METHODS: A computer-based online search of PubMed database, CNKI database and Wangfang database between January 2000 and January 2015 was performed to search related articles with the key words of “endoplasmic reticulum stress, chondrocyte, apoptosis” in English or in Chinese, respectively. The word “AND” was used for the connection between the word retrieval. Literatures related to osteoarthritis were selected; the articles published lately in authoritative journals were preferred. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A total of 62 literatures were primarily selected, and 57 documents were involved in result analysis according to inclusion criteria. PERK, IRE1 and ATF6 play an important role in the chondrocytes. Endoplasmic reticulum stress-mediated apoptosis mechanisms include two kinds, UPR and Ca2+start signal, but the specific mechanism and the interactions between apoptosis pathway are unclear. Inhibitory molecules for chondrocyte apoptosis in these signaling pathways as treatment targets for osteoarthritis may provide new methods for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
