The effects of Na_2MoO_4 on experimental ventricular arrhythmias and isolated guinea pig atria are reported. Iv Na_2MoO_4, 8 mg/kg was found to increase the tolerant dose of ouabain to produce ventricular permature beats, ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation in guinea pigs. Na_2MoO_4 significantly counteracted the ventricular arrhythmias induced by BaCl_2 and aconitine in rats. Na_2MoO_4 10 ?g/10 g ip decreased the incidence of ventricular fibrillation by chloroform in mice, Na_2MoO_4 10 mg/kg did not produce antagonistic effect on the arrhythmias induced by chloroform-adrenaline in rabbits. Na_2MoO_4 0.1 mmol/L inhibited contractility of isolated guinea pig atria, prolonged the functional refractory period and makedly inhibited the frequency-dependent positive staircase phenomenon and the post-rest potentiation.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum tumor markers carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) ,neuron spe-cific enolase(NSE) ,cytokeratin-19 fragments(CYFRA21-1) ,squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCCA)in the lung cancer .Methods By using electro chemiluminescence immunoassay ,the concentrations of CEA ,NSE ,CYFRA21-1 and SCCA were determined in 98 cases of lung cancer and 30 cases of healthy control group ,and the positive rate ,sensitivity ,specificity ,accuracy were calculated .Re-sults In different lung cancer pathological groups ,the concentrations of the 4 serum tumor markers were significantly higher than the control group(P<0 .05) .CEA had the highest diagnostic sensitivity for detecting adeno carcinoma ,NSE had the highest diag-nostic sensitivity for detecting small cell lung cancers ,CYFRA21-1 had the highest diagnostic sensitivity for detecting squamous carcinoma .The combined tests of four serum tumor markers had higher diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy than single test for lung cancers .Conclusion The four serum tumor markers are valuable in the pathological classification ,diagnosis and differential diagno-sis of lung cancer .The diagnostic sensitivity and the accuracy are obviously higher in combined tests .

The antiarrhythmic actions of ZnSO4 (Zinc) were studied in ex-perimental arrhythmias models. ZnSO4 10mg/kg(iv) significantly coun-teracted the arrhythmias, induced by aconitine or BaCl2 rats.It was shown to shorten the duration of arrhythmias induced by chloroform-epinephrine in rabbits. In mice, ZnSO4 20 ?g/10g(ip) decreased the incidence of ventricular fibrillationbychloroform. [Objective]Giant cell tumor of bone is notorious for its local aggressive behavior and its tendency to recur after operative treatment.Bisphosphonates is the drug of anti-osteoporosis.It is found also have anti-cancer effect recently.We conducted experiment examing the effect of bisphosphonates alendronate on the growth and survival of the cells.To study if bisphosphonates are capable of inducing cells death and significantly inhibiting their growth in vitro.[Method]Cells viability was detected by MTT Assay after the tumor cells were cured with different concentration and different time.Tumor cells apoptosis with in situ TUNEL assay and flow cytometry was detected.The active Caspase-3 was also detected.[Result]After exposure to alendronate,the cells exhibited the characteristic features of cell shrinkage,rounding and partial detachment,and demonstrated the lobulated appearance of apoptotic cells.It was much more prominent while the treating time prolonged or the concentration increased.Alendronate((5 200) M) treatment for 24 h,resulted in 2.79%~31.17% decrease in cell viability,and 11.13%~49.94% for 72 h,respectively.A significant dose-dependent and time-dependent decrease in the number of viable cells was observed in the GCT cells.After Alendronate treat for 24 h,the mean cell population in apoptosis was 14.32% at concentration 5 mmol/l,and 40.24% at 200 mmol/l.It was up to 18.41% and 42.22% respectively after 48 h.In Alendronate-treated GCT cells,Caspase-3 activation was observed.The cell response varied with doses of Alendronate showing the levels of Caspase-3 expression with a dose dependent response.[Conclusion]In conclusion,we demonstrated that bisphosphonate alendronate could inhibit GCT cells in the present study.This response was time-dependent and dose-dependent.Alendronate inducing apoptosis in GCT cells is mediated by the activation of Caspase-3.

Objective To investigate the correlation between ankle-brachial index (ABI) and early neurological deterioration (END) in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods Consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke admitted to hospital within 7 d after onset from January 2014 to December 2014 were enroled. Bidirectional Doppler flow detector was used to detect ABI. END was defined as the increased National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score ≥2 or the increased motor score ≥1. The demographic characteristics, vascular risk factors, laboratory parameters, and the incidence of END were identified and analyzed. Results A total of 210 patients with acute ischemic stroke were enroled, including 51 had END and 159 did not have END. Univariate analysis showed that the proportion of patient with ABI ≤0. 9 of the END group was significantly higher than that of the non-END group (43. 1% vs. 22. 0% ; χ2 = 8. 714, P =0. 003). Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that ABI ≤0. 9 (odds ratio 2. 688, 95% confidence interval 1. 265 - 5. 052; P = 0. 009) was independently associated with END in patients with ischemic stroke after adjusting for the confounding factors, such as age, sex, baseline systolic blood pressure, and ischemic heart disease. Conclusion The low ABI was associated with the occurrence of END in patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Purpose To investigate the imaging characteristics and accuracy of diagnosing pilocytic astrocytoma (PA) with perfusion weighted imaging (PWI), diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), magnetic resonance sprectroscopy, susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) and diffusion tensor imaging. Material and Methods MRI imaging of 11 patients with PA was retrospectively analyzed for functional imaging features. Results In 11 patients with PA, there were 9 mixed cystic and solid lesions, 1 case of cystic lesion and 1 case with solid lesion. Ten lesions showed mixed hypointensity on T1WI, and mixed hyperintensity on T2WI and FLAIR. One case was hypointense on T1WI, and hyperintense on T2WI and FLAIR. Prominent contrast enhancement was seen in the solid portion, capsular wall and mural nodules. On SWI 3 cases showed patchy low signal, 2 cases of dot-like low signal and 2 cases without low signal, with average intratumoral susceptibility signal intensity classification of 1.57. PWI findings were characterized by high perfusion with relative cerebral blood volume averaging 2.64±1.22. There was elevated choline component in the solid portion with significantly decreased NAA with average Cho/NAA ratio of 5.13±4.72 (1.46-15.26). Lactate peak was increased in 5 cases. On DWI there was limited diffusion in 1 case. 7 cases did not demonstrate limited diffusion with average relative apparent diffusion coefficient of 1.60±0.58. Conclusion Most MRI features of pilocystic astrocytoma are consistent with low grade glioma. There are characteristic functional imaging findings with higher perfusion than other gliomas. Functional MRI can evaluate tumor metabolism and prognosis.

Aim To investigate a possible role for nitric oxide and neurogenic pathway in the protective effect of the limb preconditioning on the ischemic-reperfusion myocardium.Methods 64 Wistar rats were randomly divided into one of the four experimental groups.In Group Ⅰ,the rats underwent 30 min occlusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery,and 120 min reperfusion.In Group PL,the rats underwent four cycles of 5 min occlusion and reperfusion of both hind limbs using a tourniquet before the experiment was continued as in Group Ⅰ.In Group PL-N and Group PL-H,rats were administered with L-Nitro-Arginine Methyl Ester(L-NAME)10 mg?kg-1 or hexamethonium chloride 20 mg?kg-1,intravenously,20 min before IPC.Infarct size,as a percentage of the area at risk,was determined by triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining.And other 8 rats in each group,at the end of the experiment,all rats were killed and myocardium were stored in liquid nitrogen for the measurement of NO,NOS,iNOS and iNOS mRNA.Results The myocardial infarct size(IS)was decreased significantly in Group PL and Group PL-H compared with Group Ⅰ(P

Objective:To evaluate the function of bladder after gastrocystoplasty.Methods:38 patients after gastrocystoplasty were analyzed by observing the micturition and examination of urodynamics and to investigate the function of bladder during the filling and the micturition.Results:In the 38 patients,voiding interval time was 3.2?1.7hours;unirary output was 320?110ml;maximual flow rate was 19?7.2 ml per second;intravcsical pressure during filling was 11.2?8.2 cmH 2O;maximual intravesical pressure during voiding was 58?21 cmH 2O;and maximual pressure of detrusor was 28?12 cmH 2O.In total 38 cases,residual urine was observed in 11 cases,and residual volume was 55?34ml.12 cases developed uracratia or enuresis.Conclusion:Filling function of bladder is satisfactory after gastrocystoplasty,the micturition is carried out mainly by the action of intra-abdominal pressure.The disturbance of function of the sensation of bladder and the urethral sphincter is possibly the common cause for uracratia or enuresis.
