Study on proteomics can explain the protein biological function of executing life activities expressed by genome.The results of the research point to a new direction for pharmaceutical and clinical development.This review focuses on the latest developments of the qualitative and guantitative researches on biological mass spectrometry in proteomics,as well as their advantages and prospects.

The counts of the chromosome and karyotypeanalysis of coix lachryma-jobi L. (a traditional Chi-nese medicinal herb) are represented in this pa-per. The results show that the number of the chro-mosome of coix lachryma-jobi L. is 2n=20. All ofthe homologous chromosomes have median kine-tochrores. The absolute length of the chromo-somes tanges from 2. 26～10. 5?m. The relativelength is 7. 19～13. 02%. The karyotype formulais K (2n)=20=20m. These results provide morecritical cytological criteria for identification of Coixlachryma--jobi L. on the chromosomal level. Inaddition, It can be provided the data for studyingof the fraditional Chinese medicinal herbs againstcancer.

Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA),scanning electron microscopy,and bone biomechanical test were used to assess comprehensively bone quantity and quality of ovariectomized rats. In OVX rats,not only bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar vertebrae in vivo and vitro,but also BMD of femora (except for R3 region) and proximal metaphysis(R1 region) in vitro decreased obviously (P<0.01)，whose bone loss rates of L5 and L6 were the highest and achieved 13%; the trabeculae of OVX rats were few，fine, and discontinued and there were lacunae on the surface;in OVX rats,both compressive strength of vertebral bodies and the mechanical properties of femora decreased;the falling degree of the former was greater;the maximal compressive power of lumbar vertebrae decreased with 33.32%. We conclude that after 4-month post-ovariectomy, the bone quantity and quality of six-month-old rats decreased, especially in the area of abundant cancellous bone such as vertebral bodies,distal femora; the assessment of the efficiency of new drugs to prevent and treat postmenopausal osteoporosis using rat models should include these drugs' effects to the bone mass, the bone structure, and the bone strength.

Objective To compare bone mineral density(BMD) at relevant measurement sites between two hips in normal subjects. Methods BMD was measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA) in the two hips in 70 normal volunteer, 15 to 86 years of age(mean age 53 years). Result Highly significant correlations were found between BMD of the two hips at every measurement sites(r=0.696～0.979, P<0.001),There were small(approximately 2%～3%)but significant differences between BMD of the two hips , The right hip BMD were consistently higher than the left hip BMD at relevant measurement sites (P<0.01)； There were significant positive correlation between BMD and body weight(r=0.289～0.488, P<0.05)except Ward’s triangle. Conclusions BMDs of the two hips are highly correlated at relevant measurement sites; There are strong agreement between BMD of the two hips.

ObjectiveTo systematically assess the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion plus cognitive rehabilitation training in treating post-stroke cognitive disorder.MethodA computer searched CNKI, CBM, VIP, WANFANG DATA, and Pubmed and Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials (RCT) of acupuncture and moxibustion plus cognitive rehabilitation training for the treatment of post-stroke cognitive disorder. The reference literature in the included literature was also retrieved. Retrieval time limit for both of them was from Jan. 1st 1990 to Jan. 1st 2015. Two reviewers independently selected the trials, extracted the data and assessed the quality of methodology. Meta analysis was then performed using RevMan 5.3 software.ResultEleven trials with a total of 789 subjectswere finally included. The results of Meta analysis showed that the following aspects were better in acupuncture plus cognitive rehabilitation training than in cognitive rehabilitation training or medication alone and there were statistically significant differences: the total efficacy rate [RR=1.58, 95%CI(1.10,2.26),P=0.01], the MMSE score [MD=2.64, 95%CI(1.78, 3.50),P<0.00001], P300 latency [MD=﹣18.46, 95%CI(﹣30.51,﹣6.41),P=0.003], P300 amplitude [MD=1.23, 95%CI(0.82, 1.63),P<0.00001] and activities of daily living (ADL) [SMD=0.52, 95% CI(0.31, 0.73),P<0.00001]. Based on the results of a systematical review, thequality of evidence was assessed using GRADE system recommended classification method. The results showed that the level of evidence was low and the strength of recommendations was weak.ConclusionThe results of Meta analysis showed that the therapeuticeffect was better in acupuncture and moxibustion plus cognitive rehabilitation training than in cognitive rehabilitation training or medication alone. Because of low quality of all the original literature, high-quality, multicenter and large-sample randomized blind controlled trials are still needed for validation.

ObjectiveTo investigate the treatment and prevention of auricle reconstruction complications by Medpor framework and autoallergic rib cartilage framework implantation.Methods A total of 158 microtia were performed ear reconstructive operation,in which postoperative complications happened in 18 cases during January 2003 to June 2011,and studied retrospectively.Results There were three cases of dilator haematoma (incidence rate was 1.90 ％),and they were cured after treatment.There were two dilator infection cases (incidence rate was 1.27 ％).One case was cured after treatment,and another one revealed no effect after treatment and dilator implantation operation was done half a year later.There were thirteen cases of framework plantation exposure and infection after Ⅱ stage operation,in which there were seven rib cartilage framework cases (incidence rate was 5.79 ％),and they were cured after change dressings and operation; there were six Medpor framework cases (incidence rate was 16.22 ％),and the three cases were cured after change dressings and operation,and other three cases revealed no effects after change dressings and so the operation failed.ConclusionsPreoperative percise plan and fine manipulation can decrease the incidence of haematoma.The main reasons of framework exposure include the skin tension,thin skin flap or the effect of external force.On account of the high incidence of framework exposure and difficult treatemnt,it is better to use rib cartilage framework for uricle reconstruction.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of 16 ku-38 ku-ESAT-6 protein in tuberculosis (TB). Methods ELISA was used for measuring the level of recombinant 16 ku-38 ku-ESAT-6 protein in 105 TB patients (TB group,26 patients with smear-positive, 79 patients with smear-negative) and 45 controls (control group, 20 healthy volunteers and 25 subjects with pulmonary diseases other than TB). The value of the antigen for diagnosis of TB in serodiagnosis was assessed, and ROC curve evaluation system was established. Results In control group, the positive rate of anti-recombinant 16 ku-38 ku-ESAT-6 protein and commercialization of TB antibody test kit had significant difference [6.67% (3/45) vs. 51.11% (23/45)](P＜0.01);but in TB group, there was no significant difference [59.05%(62/105) vs. 64.76% (68/105)](P＞0.05). The optical density value in TB group and control group was 2.22 ± 0.58 and 1.35 ± 0.24,and there was significant difference(t = 6.06,P＜ 0.01). The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the test was 59.05%,93.33%,95.38%,49.41% respectively. Analyzed by ROC curve, the area under the curve was 0.751, the- value of cutoff was 2.52, and sensitivity and specificity was 65.4% and 84.8%. Conclusions Recombinant 16 ku -38 ku -ESAT-6 protein of mycobacterium tuberculosis has higher specificity, and it can significantly distinguish TB and non-TB. So it might be selected as one of diagnosis antigens of TB.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of exogenous fat on the bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar spine (LS) on a phantom measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) Hologic QDR4500A. METHODS: LS DXA scans were performed on an LS phantom, and were repeated when with lard packets (2 fresh lard packets and 2 refined lard packets, 5 cm or 10 cm thick). RESULTS: After fresh lard packets were placed, only L1 BMD decreased significantly (P<0.05).When the 5 cm-thick refined lard packet was placed, BMD, bone mineral content (BMC),and bone area (BA) decreased obviously, but with the 10 cm-thick refined lard packet, BMD, BMC and BA decreased significantly (P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSION The exogenous fat may affect LS BMD of lumbar spine phantom by DXA Hologic QDR4500A, with significant decrease of the value,which may cause anomaly measurement of BMD in obese people and even misdiagnosis of osteoporosis.

OBJECTIVE: To examine the influence of exogenous fat (lard) on the bone mineral density (BMD) of lumbar spine measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometer (DXA) Hologic QDR 4500A in different sites in healthy women. METHODS: Lard packets (5 cm or 10 cm thick) were prepared. The lumbar spine (LS) DXA scans were performed on 37 women(Group A), who were repeated with lard packets (5 cm or 10 cm thick) placed over the abdomen, and the hip DXA scans were performed on 18 women(Group B), who were repeated with lard packets (5 cm or 10 cm thick) placed over the left thigh. Whole body DXA scans were performed on 8 women(Group C), who were repeated with 5 cm thick lard packets over the abdomen. The pair t-test was used to compare the value of BMD with and without lard. RESULTS: After lard was placed over abdomen, the bone area (BA), bone mineral content (BMC), and BMD of the LS decreased significantly (P<0.001);at the hip, BA had no significant change, but the BMC and BMD of the neck, trochanter, and inter trochanter increased significantly (P<0.01~0.05). The BMD of the whole body had no significant change (P>0.05). CONCLUSION Lard impacted the BMD by DXA Hologic QDR 4500A, BMD of the LS significantly decreases, but BMD of the whole body has no significant change. BMD of the hip significantly increases with lard.

Objective To survey the prevalence of greenhouse farmer's lung and related risk factors in part of rural areas of Liaoning Province.Methods Using uniform scheme,procedures and questionnaire,a survey for 5420 farmers(2660 men and 2760 women)with complete data who work inside greenhouses was performed in Shenyang,Xinmin,Chaoyang,and Jinzhou between August 2006 and June 2009.Pulmonary function tests was performed for every active farmer.Results Greenhouse farmer's lung was diagnosed in 308 cases,205 men(66.55%,205/308)and 103 women(33.44%,103/308),a prevalence of 5.7%(308/5420).The prevalence rate of greenhouse farmer's lung in males was significantly higher than that in females(?2=39.93,P0.05).In the 308 cases,the number of patiernts presented with fever chill,cough/sputum,chest tightness/shortness of breath were 180(58.44%),192(62.34%),160(51.95%)respectively,and the number of crepitations,radiological changes,spirometry abnormalities and serum IgE antibodies(+)was 164(53.25%),153(49.68%),147(47.73%)and 136(44.16%)at the time of the study.62.34%(192/308)of patients with greenhouse farmer's lung were mild and 38.66%(116/308)were severe.Conclusion The total prevalence rate of greenhouse farmer's lung in part of rural areas of Liaoning Province was 5.7% and multiple risk factors were associated with the disease.
