Apoptosis has been considered as the only form of regulated cell death for a long time. However, a novel form of programmed cell death called necroptosis was recently reported. The process of necroptosis is regulated and plays a critical role in the occurrence and development of multiple human diseases. Thus, the study on the molecular mechanism of necroptosis and its effective inhibitors has been an attractive field for researchers. Herein, we introduce the molecular mechanism of necroptosis and focus on the literature about necroptosis drug screening in recent years. In addition, the identification of the critical drug targets of the necroptosis is also discussed.

Multidrug resistance (MDR) is one of the main causes leading to the failure in cancer treatment. Differential proteins between esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) cell line EC9706 and its cisdiamminedichloroplatinum (CDDP)-resistant subline EC9706/CDDP revealed by quantitative analysis may provide deeper insights into the molecular mechanisms of MDR implicated in ESCC. EC9706/CDDP was generated by exposure of its parental sensitive EC9706 to a step-wise increase of CDDP concentration during EC9706 cultivation. The stable isotope labeling with amino acids in cell culture (SILAC) was used to label EC9706 and EC9706/CDDP with heavy and light medium, separately. Mixed peptides derived from EC9706 and EC9706/CDDP were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) and subsequently subjected to bioinformatics analysis to identify differential proteins between EC9706 and EC9706/CDDP. Compared to parental EC9706, EC9706/CDDP manifested phenotypes of slow proliferation, cell pleomorphology, atypia and increased resistant-index 3.23. Seventy-four differential proteins identified in the present study belongs to various families with multiple functions, such as cytoskeleton (20%), energy metabolism (11%), transcription regulation and DNA repair (11%), redox homeostasis (9.5%), protein biosynthesis and mRNA processing (12%), ribosome constituent (8.1%), molecular chaperone (8.1%), immunity/inflammation (5.4%), intracellular transport (5.4%) and nucleosome assembly (2.7%), which indicated that development of MDR is a complicated process involving dysregulation of multiple molecules and pathways. The data is of great value for in-depth elucidation of molecular mechanisms of the MDR implicated in ESCC and may represent potential molecular targets for future therapeutic development.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(3):407-410
Objective:
To investigate the characteristics of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in college students during the outbreak of COVID-19, and to explore the mediating role of psychological resilience between social support and PTSD.
Methods:
By using direct selection method, 572 college students in Anhui and Shanghai were selected and administered with General Characteristics Questionnaire, the PTSD Checklist Civilian Version(PCL-C), Psychological Resilience Scale(PRS) and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS).
Results:
Among the participants, 25.0% had moderate PTSD symptoms, 11.7% had obvious PTSD symptoms, and the positive rate of PTSD was 36.7%. The prevalence of PTSD in college students was higher in males than in females ( χ 2= 4.31, P <0.05). The junior students were higher than other students ( χ 2=16.81, P <0.01). The scores of social support, psychological resilience and PTSD were (33.79±4.83), (92.17±13.39) and (35.50±11.39), respectively. The correlations of all variables were statistically significant( r =-0.49-0.76, P <0.05); The mediation test showed that social support could not only negatively predict PTSD directly(direct effect was -0.35), but also indirectly affect PTSD through psychological resilience(indirect effect was -0.32).
Conclusion
More than one third of college students have PTSD symptoms, and psychological resilience plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between social support and PTSD,social support can both directly and negatively predict PTSD and indirectly affect PTSD by increasing an individual s psychological resilience.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2021;37(5):402-409
Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of serum albumin content on the prognosis of patients with severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).Methods:PubMed, Embase, Cohrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), China Journals Full-text Database (CJFD), VIP database and Wanfang Database were used for retrieval from inception to November 10, 2020. Through retrieving Chinese and English literatures, relevant studies on serum albumin content in different types of TBI patients and in severe TBI patients with different prognostic results were included. The difference of serum albumin content in patinets with severe TBI with healthy people and patients with mild illness TBI, and the difference in serum albumin content between patients with good and poor prognosis of severe TBI were observed. At the same time, the differences in serum albumin content between subgroups were evaluated by subgroup analysis of the authors' country, literature quality and severity of the control group according to characteristics that might cause heterogeneity. Results:A total of 9 articles were included in this study, including 1, 438 study subjects. The serum albumin content in patients with severe TBI was significantly lower than that in healthy individuals and patients with mild TBI ( WMD=-6.42, 95% CI -9.95--2.80, Z=3.82, P<0.01). Subgroup analysis showed that serum albumin content in patients with severe TBI was significantly lower than that in healthy people ( WMD=-8.77, 95% CI-10.28--7.25, Z=11.37, P<0.01). Serum albumin content in patients with severe TBI was significantly lower than that in patients with mild TBI ( WMD=-4.07, 95% CI -9.53 -1.39, Z=1.46, P<0.05), suggesting that mild TBI patients are the main source of heterogeneity. The serum albumin content in patients with poor prognosis of severe TBI was significantly lower than that in patients with good prognosis of severe TBI ( WMD=-4.48, 95% CI-7.39--1.58, Z=3.02, P<0.01). Conclusion:Serum albumin content in patients with severe TBI is significantly lower than that in healthy individuals as well as in patients with mild TBI, and low albumin content indicates a poor prognosis in patients with severe TBI.

Chinese Journal of Pediatrics 2016;54(1):47-51
OBJECTIVETo analyze clinical features, outcomes and correlative prognostic factors of the disease.
METHODTotally 14 newly diagnosed children with pancreatoblastoma at Shanghai Children's Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center and Beijing Children's Hospital were enrolled into this study between April 2003 and July 2013. The clinical features, surgery, chemotherapy protocol and prognostic factors of patients were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTThe median age at diagnosis was 6.5 years (0.6 to 11 years). Four cases had local tumor, 9 cases had local invasion, and in 1 case lung and liver metastasis was found at diagnosis. Increased serum α-fetoprotein were found in 8 cases (66-54,000 μg/L). In 8 patients the tumor was resected at first. The remaining 6 patients had biopsy and in four of them the tumor was completely resected after 4-6 cycles of chemotherapy. Except for 2 patients who gave up treatment, all the other patients fulfilled the comprehensive treatment including surgery and chemotherapy. One patient received radiofrequency ablation. The median follow-up period was 26 months(16-140 months). The estimated 2 year event free survival was (66.7 ± 13.6)%.On univariate analysis, non-resectable tumor(χ(2) = 6.663, P = 0.010), progression and metastases during treatment(χ(2) = 14.927, P = 0.000), poor response to treatment(χ(2) = 12.293, P = 0.000)were independent predictors for poor prognosis.
CONCLUSIONComplete resection and complete remission after treatment were excellent prognostic factors. Some initially unresectable disease seems to be resectable after adjuvant chemotherapy, which may be a key point of treatment strategy.
