Objective To investigate the value of the ultrasonic elastic quantitative analysis technique of organization diffusion in adenomyosis. Methods Ninty-three patients with adenomyosis were divided into adenomyosis group (n =52) and adenomyoma group (n =41),and fourty healthy subjects were enrolled as control group. All subjects underwent conventional ultrasound and real-time tissue elastography.Eleven elastic characteristics of all the subjects were performed. Results Different characteristics of ultrasound elastography images appeared in different groups. The measured values of elastic characteristics were significantly different between case group and normal group (P < 0.05),but they were no significant difference between adenomyosis group and adenomyoma group(P > 0.05).The cutoff values of every index were analyzed by ROC curve. The strongest specificity index was SD(99%),the highest sensitivity index was ASM(100%),and the highest accuracy index was IDM(94%).Conclusions The value of ultrasonic elastic quantitative analysis of organization diffusion technique in adenomyosis can improve the ultrasound diagnosis of this diease.

OBJECTIVETo quantitatively analyze the temporal and spatial pattern of RhoA expression in injured spinal cord of adult mice.
METHODSA spinal cord transection model was established in adult mice. At 1, 3, 7, 14, 28, 56 and 112 days after the surgery, the spinal cords were dissected and cryosectioned for RhoA/NF200, RhoA/GFAP, RhoA/CNPase or RhoA/IBA1 double fluorescent immunohistochemistry to visualize RhoA expressions in the neurons, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and microglia. The percentages as well as the immunostaining intensities of RhoA-positive cells in the parenchymal cells were quantitatively analyzed.
RESULTSRhoA was weakly expressed in a few neurons and oligodendrocytes in normal spinal cord. After spinal cord injury, the percentage of RhoA-positive cells and RhoA expression intensity in the spinal cord increased and peaked at 7 days post injury (dpi) in neurons, oligodendrocytes and astrocytes, followed by a gradual decrease till reaching a low level at 112 dpi. In the microglia, both the RhoA-positive cells and RhoA expression intensity reached the maximum at 14 dpi and maintained a high level till 112 dpi.
CONCLUSIONTraumatic spinal cord injury can upregulate RhoA expression in the neurons as well as all the glial cells in the spinal cord. RhoA expression patterns vary with post-injury time, location and among different parenchymal cells in the injured spinal cord.

Objective:To investigate the application of the 7E teaching model (i.e., Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, and Extend) combined with standardized patients (SP) in nursing practice teaching for general surgery. Methods:A total of 80 nursing students who were assigned to Department of General Surgery in our hospital were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the order of admission, with 40 students in each group. The students in the control group received traditional teaching, while those in the observation group received the 7E teaching model combined with SP. Theoretical and practical operation scores were assessed for both groups, and the scores of non-technical skills were compared between the two groups. SPSS 22.0 was used to perform the t-test. Results:Compared with the control group, the observation group had significantly better scores of theoretical assessment (89.36±2.13 vs. 87.64±2.07, P<0.05) and practical operation (92.07±4.33 vs. 85.19±3.46, P<0.05). The observation group had significantly higher scores of non-technical skills (humanistic care ability, ability to stimulate learning interest, communication ability with patients, depth of the understanding of diseases and nursing ability, knowledge extension ability, team collaboration ability, clinical thinking ability, and clinical decision-making ability) than the control group ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The 7E teaching model combined with SP in nursing practice teaching for general surgery can better enhance the theoretical and practical abilities of nursing interns and help to improve the level of non-technical skills.

Audiovisual integration is a vital information process involved in cognition and is closely correlated with aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this review, we evaluated the altered audiovisual integrative behavioral symptoms in AD. We further analyzed the relationships between AD pathologies and audiovisual integration alterations bidirectionally and suggested the possible mechanisms of audiovisual integration alterations underlying AD, including the imbalance between energy demand and supply, activity-dependent degeneration, disrupted brain networks, and cognitive resource overloading. Then, based on the clinical characteristics including electrophysiological and imaging data related to audiovisual integration, we emphasized the value of audiovisual integration alterations as potential biomarkers for the early diagnosis and progression of AD. We also highlighted that treatments targeted audiovisual integration contributed to widespread pathological improvements in AD animal models and cognitive improvements in AD patients. Moreover, investigation into audiovisual integration alterations in AD also provided new insights and comprehension about sensory information processes.
