Objective To investigate the prevalence of trematode Aspidogastrea in freshwater mussels in Anhui Province, China. Methods The freshwater mussels living in different water areas within Anhui territory were harvested and dissected from April to May,2015. Then the flukes were collected from the pericardial cavities of the clams into a petri dish containing small amount of saline. After rinsing, the flukes were transferred into a bottle containing 70%ethanol for following identification by staining of the specimens prepared as previous protocol. Results A total of 3 007 calms in 12 species, including Unio doug?lasiae(603),Acuticosta chinensis(90),Lamprotula caveat(150),Lamprotula leai(250),Lanceolaria grayana(47),An?odonta pacifica(60),Anodonta woodiana(350),Cuneopsis heudei(100),Solenaia oleivora(150),Cristaria plicata (567),Hyriopsis cumingii(550)and Arconaia lanceolata(90)were dissected,in which 1 467 mussels were infected with the trematode Aspidogastrea, with an infection rate of 48.79%(1 467/3 007). Totally,7 306 flukes belonging to 3 genera under the subclass of Aspidogastrea were isolated. These trematodes were genera of Aspidogaster,Lophotaspis and Cotylaspis. The in?fection density was from 1 to 128 capita for individual positive clam, with a mean infectiosity of 4.98(7306/1467)for each mus?sel. Conclusion The freshwater bivalves living in different water areas in Anhui Province are infected with the trematode Aspi?dogastrea. These flukes were identified as Aspidogaster sp. Lophotaspis sp. and Cotylaspis sp. belonging to subclass Aspidogas?tridae of family Aspidogastrea.

Objective To study the effect of ephedrine on middle latency auditory-evoked potentials (MLAEP) during light general anesthesia , and evaluate the influence of ephedrine on anesthesia level. Methods 10 patients (ASAⅠ-Ⅱ) undergoing elective upper abdominal operations were concerned. Anesthesia: epidural anesthesia in combination with light general anesthesia with N 2O-O 2 . After success of epidural anesthesia and tracheal intubation , when anesthesia was smooth , before operation 0.1% ephedrine(0.15 mg/kg) was injected intravenously. These data HR, SBP, DBP, MBP were measured continuously before injection, 3 min after injection, 10 min after injection; the latentcies Nb and P1 of MLAEP were measured and rescorded. Results HR?SBP?DBP?MBP increased significantly 3 min after injection, 10 min after injection compared with these data before injection (P

Objective To evaluate the effect of surgical treatment in facial nerve paralysis. Methods Clinical data of 29 cases in facial nerve paralysis were retrospectively analyzed. All of the 29 cases of facial paralysis,18 cases is the suppurative otitis media,9 cases is the temporal bone fracture,2 cases is the neoplasms of the temporal bone. The 29 cases of facial nerve paralysis were surgical treatment.8 cases by vertical segment or horizontal segment of facial nerve decompression,19 cases by the stylomastoid foramen to the geniculate ganglion of facial nerve decompression,2 cases by the itratemporal course of facial nerve decompression.1 case was underwent end-to-end anastomosis,2 cases of the greater auricular or the sural nerve graft for repairing facial nerve defect. All data were analyzed with Rank sum test. Results Makes a follow-up visit for 6~18 months, the facial nerve function(House-Brackman grading system)before the technique Ⅱ 6.9%,Ⅲ17.2%,Ⅳ34.5%,Ⅴ 31.0%,Ⅵ 10.3%,after the technique, restores Ⅰ 6.9%,Ⅱ27.6%,Ⅲ27.6%,Ⅳ 24.1%,Ⅴ 13.8%,statistics analysis facial nerve function restoreS has the significance difference(P<0.005).Conclusions The facial nerve decompression and the nerve graft are useful method to treat facial paralysis.Surgical treatment of facial paralysis is satisfied in the suppurative otitis media and the temporal bone fracture.

Adult Clonorchis sinensis not only occurs in human hepatic duct, but also in the liver, gallbladder and bile ducts of animals, including dogs and cats, thus causing clonorchiasis—one of important parasitic zoonoses. In present study,we dis?sected a domestic cat in which a total of 736 pieces of trematodes, identified as Clonorchis sinensis, were detected in the liver and cholecyst. The findings indicate that Clonorchis sinensis may be endemic in domestic animals in Wuhu area, and observe our awareness in prevention of the parasites in house pets.

Objective To discuss the effect of polysaccharides from Tegillarca granosa as an adjuvant on pcDNA3.1?Sj26GST vaccine against Schistosoma japonicum infection. Methods Sixty SPF BALB/c mice were divided into four groups randomly(15 mice each group),including a control group,a polysaccharides group,a vaccine group, and a vaccine plus poly?saccharides group. In the 0,2th and 4th week of the experiment, the mice in the above four groups were immunized for 3 times with 100μl PBS,100μg polysaccharides from Tegillarca granosa,100μg Sj26GST vaccine, and 100μg Sj26GST vaccine plus equivalent polysaccharides, respectively. Two weeks after the last immunization, all the mice were infected with 40 ± 1 Schistosoma japonicum cercariae through the skin of the abdomen. After the infection for 6 weeks, all the mice were sacrificed, and their serums, livers and the adult worm of Schistosoma japonicum in them were collected, the specific sera IgG antibodies were detected by ELISA,and the worm reduction rates and egg reduction rates in the liver were calculated. Results Six weeks after the infection, the IgG antibody levels of the mice in the vaccine group and the vaccine plus polysaccharides group were 18.26 ± 0.42 mg/ml and 20.21 ± 0.89 mg/ml respectively, the difference between them were statistically significant, and both of the IgG levels of the above groups were significantly higher than those in the control(both P<0.05). The worm reduction rate and egg reduction rate in the vaccine group were 28.60%and 35.84%,respectively,and the rates in the vaccine plus polysac?charides group were 38.04% and 49.74%,respectively,the differences between the worm reduction rates and egg reduction rates were both statistically significant(both P<0.05). Meanwhile, the two rates in the two above groups were all significantly higher than those in the control group(all P<0.01). Conclusion Polysaccharides from Tegillarca granosa using as an adju?vant can increase the protection effect of pcDNA3.1?Sj26GST vaccine against Schistosoma japonicum infection.

We reported a case of adult Drosophila melanogaster parasitized in nasal cavity of a 81-year-old woman who was living in Xuancheng City, Anhui Province now. She was admitted for treatment of cerebral infarction and water accumulation in the lungs in 2014 June. The patient was also suffering from secretory otitis media, a history of hypertension and heart stents were placed in 2007. A foreign body was found in the left nasal cavity during the preoperative examination process, and then the part of the inflammatory tissue was removed through the nasal endoscopy, and sent to our department for identification. There are three adults of Drosophila in paraffin-embedded biopsy specimens. The parasites length is approximately 3mm, with huge red compound eyes. The end of the body is tip, with 5 ring lines in back, has no dark spots. The abdomen of the parasites have seven sections. Tarsus of foot I have no sex comb on base, and they are male adult of Drosophila melanogaster after identification. After a thorough reviewing of medical history, we knew the patient began to sneeze violently and frequently six years ago. But there was no clear or purulent nasal discharge flowing, therefore did not attract attention. After removing the parasites the sneezing symptoms were relieved, and had no abnormal symptoms in the follow-up 6 months.
