Methods After diagnosis of Dieulafoy's lesion confirmed, endoscopic injection hemostasis(EIH) together with mixture hypertonic saline and epinephrine(HSE) was performed, and then sandostatin was given consecutively for 7 days. In pregnant women,positive rate of thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) is approximately 3%~10%.It is still controversial whether thyroid antibody positive rate is higher in women undergoing artificial assistant reproductive technologies.TAI might have a negative effect on pregnant outcome,which has been proved in different groups of women.Intravenous immunoglobulin,thyroxin replacement therapy and selenium therapy have been used for TAI intervention.More evidence is needed to demonstrate mechanism and evaluate effect for each therapy.

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Huobahuagen Tablets combined with irbesartan on the risk factors of IgA nephropathy. METHODS: Sixty-two patients diagnosed as IgA nephropathy were randomly divided into control group and treatment group. Thirty patients in the control group were treated with Huobahuagen Tablets (5 tablets po t.i.d.), and 32 patients in the treatment group were treated with irbesartan (150 to 300 mg po q.d.), besides the same treatment as the control group. After 3 months of treatment, the levels of blood pressure (BP), 24 h urine protein (Upr), urinary red blood cells (URBC), blood triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), albumin (Alb), alanine transaminase (ALT), white blood cells (WBC) and serum creatinine (Scr) were observed. RESULTS: After treatment, the levels of Upr, URBC and Scr in both groups were decreased, as compared with those before treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the levels of BP, Upr, URBC and Scr in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01). The levels of Alb in both groups were increased, as compared with those before treatment (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the level of Alb in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Huobahuagen Tablets, when used together with irbesartan, may improve the renal function of the patients with IgA nephropathy and slow the deterioration of the disease by reducing BP, Upr, URBC and Scr.

Objective To evaluate the value of the use of fibrin glue in radical mastectorny for breast cancer. Method 52 patients with breast cancer were divided randomly into two groups. In one group (27 patients) fibrin glue was used during radical mastectomy, while in the other group (25 patients), fibrin glue was not used. The volume of drainage on the first postoperative day and total volume of drainage after the operation were collected and measured. The fluid accumulation underneath the flap was also observed. [Objective] To investigate the effects of the bioactive constituents of green tea polyphenols epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) on low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) function of HepG2 cells.[Methods] The optimal concentration and cell proliferation of HepG2 cells were determined by CCK8 assay,and Western blotting was used to determine LDLR and PCSK9 protein levels,respectively,and LDL uptake in HepG2 cells was detected by fluorescence microscope.[Results] EGCG elevated LDLR protein expression,reduced PCSK9 protein expression and promoted LDL uptake in HepG2 cells.[Conclusion] EGCG may increase LDLR abundance by down-regulating PCSK9 protein and attenuating LDLR protein degradation,which providing a new approach for lipid lowering therapy.

AIM: To study the influence of minimal modified low density lipoprotein (mmLDL) on plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) activity, gene expression and regulation in human vascular endothelial cells. METHODS: The PAI-1 activity in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) culture medium was measured by chromogenic assay. The PAI-1 mRNA expression were determined by Northern blot. Using gene recombination techniques, four luciferase reporter gene plasmids containing different length of human PAI-1 gene promoter were constructed. Through the transient transfection analysis, the roles of AP-1 element(from -823 bp to -553 bp) in PAI-1 promoter have been determined. In order to further verify the role of AP-1 element, the three site-directed mutants were received using PCR and sequencing assay. RESULTS: The PAI-1 activity and mRNA level were increased when HUVECs were exposed to 50 mg/L mmLDL. At the same time, the AP-1 protein level was increased in nuclear. The induction by mmLDL were decreased markedly when the three AP-1 elements in PAI-1 promoter had been mutated, respectively. CONCLUSION: (1) mmLDL increased PAI-1 activity and mRNA expression in HUVEC. (2) Increase in PAI-1 activity induced by mmLDL was related to its mRNA expression. (3) Three AP-1 element in PAI-1 promoter may have an important role in PAI-1 gene transcription in endothelial cells induced by mmLDL.

Objective To discuss and evaluate the value of multi slice spiral CT angiography in the diagno -sis of penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer materials .Methods 17 patients of PAU were collected and examined with MSCT,the location,radiological diagnosis and complications of PAU on axial ,CTA and 2D/3D images were analyzed. Results Ulcer-like aortic projections were observed of 17 patients,and connected with aortic cavity ,where narrow neck sign was showed .The indirect signs included localized or extensive IMH ,calcification of aortic wall and dilata-tion of aorta .Conclusion Multi slice spiral CT angiography is an effective method for the diagnosis of PAU by provi -ding valuable information for the diagnosis and treatment .

BACKGROUND:The biological substances fixed onto the implant surface, including specific proteins, enzymes, polypeptides, could promote the proliferation and differentiation of osteogenic cells in order to achieve a good osteogenic effect.
OBJECTIVE:To introduce the biological characteristics of the arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) peptides, cellbiological behavior and implant osseointegration in osteoporosis.
METHODS:Authors retrieved the relevant articles in PubMed database (January 1984 to January 2013), Wanfang database (January 2002 to December 2012) and CHKD database (January 2002 to December 2012) using the key words“RGD peptides, osteoporosis, bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, osseointegration, osteoblast, induced differentiation”. Papers were included concerning the biological characteristics of RGD peptides, the biological behavior of cells and the bone-implant integration in osteoporosis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Osseointegration on the surface between implant and bone tissue can be further improved by grafting biological y active substance. Bionics modification, to simulate the extracellular matrix environment in vivo, can promote celladhesion and growth, which is an effective way to improve osseointegration and is also an important direction of research in the field of tissue engineering recently. The future research is focused on designing specific and efficient polypeptides and simple and effective fixation methods.

Objective To explore the efficacy of modified uvula palatopharyngeal plasty in the treatment of obstructive sleep ap-nea syndrome(OSAHS) .Methods 145 cases of OSAHS patients were treated from June 2006 to June 2010 in our hospital ,of which 54 were treated by traditional UPPP surgery ,and the remaining 91 cases were treated by h-UPPP surgery .Compared its effi-cacy by the preoperative and postoperative polysomnography map (PSG) analysis .Results In 145 cases of patients with OSAHS , the PSG monitoring indicators of 1 year after surgery were compared with preoperative ,and there were significant difference in the apnea total time(AI) ,the breathing hypopnea index(AHI) ,the lowest oxygen saturation(SaO2 )(P<0 .05) .The subjective symp-toms in postoperative recovery process of modified UPPP ,such as dry throat ,open nasal ,nasopharyngeal reflux symptoms were sig-nificantly reduced than that of traditional UPPP surgery .Conclusion h-UPPP surgery have a good effect .
