BACKGROUND:Due to the emergence of drug-resistant tuberculosis and mismanagement in tuberculosis patients, the incidence of delayed healing or recurrent after spinal tuberculosis surgery is gradualy increasing, especialy in strongly predisposal children. Therefore, exploring the risk factors of delayed healing orpost-operative recurrence in pediatric patients after spinal tuberculosis surgery, wil have significance in the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis.OBJECTIVE:To analyze the risk factors of delayed healing or post-operative recurrence in pediatric spinal tuberculosis, and evaluate the efficacy of individualized re-operation.METHODS:From June 1998 to June 2013,clinical data of 145 pediatric patients with spinal tuberculosis were reviewed retrospectively, and some cases of delayed healing or post-operative recurrence in spinal tuberculosis were compared with other without delayed healing or post-operative recurrence. The patient's age, gender, nutritional condition, lesion debridement, history of chemotherapy and internal fixation, complicated spinal lesion, scope of lesions, preoperative erythrocyte sedimentation rate >60 mm/h,and postoperative complications were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis. The risk factors of delayed healing or post-operative recurrence were analyzed. After re-operation,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,C-reactive protein and imaging studies were detected.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:After surgery,29 cases appeared delayed healing or post-operative recurrence and 12 of them received re-operation.The incidence of delayed healing or post-operative recurrence in pediatric spinal tuberculosis was 20%and the re-operation rate was 8.3%.Logistic regression analysis showed that, nutritional condition, history of chemotherapy, lesion debridement, and scope of lesions were significantly correlated with delayed healing or post-operative recurrence (P<0.05).While patient's age, gender, history of internal fixation, complicated spinal lesion, preoperative erythrocyte sedimentation rate >60 mm/h,and postoperative complications had no correlation with the delayed healing or post-operative recurrence (P >0.05).Individualized re-operation can achieve good outcomes.Experimental findings indicate that, the risk factors of delayed healing or post-operative recurrence in pediatric spinal tuberculosis are very complex, enhancing the nutrition, complete debridement of lesions, and receiving chemotherapy can effectively decrease the incidence.According to the initial surgery and patient's conditions, individualized re-operation is the key to the success.

Objective To study the effect of vitro thrombolytic test on the consumptions of urokinase(UK) in thrombolytic therapy of acute cerebral infarction. Methods The patients of acute cerebral infarction were treated with UK at the dose determined by vitro thrombolytic test, and then were given UK 40MU each day in the later 7 days. The degree of neurologic impairment, fibrinogen(Fbg) level, polyreaction speed(FMPV) and maximum luminosity(ODmax) were examined at different time point. Results Thrombolytic therapy could significantly reduce neurologic impairment as compared with control group((P

ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of transureteroscopic Holmium:YAG laser lithotripsy on ureteral calculi.Methods105 cases of ureteral stones were treated by transureteroscopic Holmium:YAG laser lithotripsy. The transverses of stones were 4~15 mm and the vertical lengths were 5~25 mm.ResultsSuccessful lithotripsy was achieved on one session in 98 cases (95%), with the stones completely expelled within 2~6 weeks. Complications occurred in 4 cases and stones moved up in 3 cases.ConclusionThe transureteroscopic Holmium:YAG laser lithotripsy is an effective and safe method for ureteral calculi.

We report a spectrophotometic method for the determination of cyanogen chloride (CNCl) in air pollution.Experimental parameters for the stability and absorbility of CNCl gas in the different media were studied. The experimental conditions were optimized for CNCI as follows:absorbent:1%isonicotinic acid-barbituric acid;reaction acidity:pH 5.8 in phosphate buffer at room temperature;masking agent:0.01mol/L EDTA;λmax:598nm. The apparent molar absorptivity was found to be 1.17×105L·mol-1·cm-1,the linear range was within 0~5μg of CNCl in 25 mL solution; the regression equation of the curve has given by A=-0.0040+1.935C(r=0.9999).The method has been applied to the determination of CNCl in chimney gas, workshop air and production area air of the cyanuric trichloride plant, chemical works and pharmaceutical factory air.The relative standard deviation was below 2.7%(n=4)for the cyanogen chloride amount within 13~64mg/m3,and when CNCl amounts were within 0.1~1.0mg/m3,RSD was below 6.9%(n=6).The recovery was 98.7%.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Zangfukong suppository on the experimental vaginitis.METHODS:The experimental rats were equally assigned to 6 groups: normal control group, model control group,gyno-daktarin(0.12 g?kg-1) group, three Zangfukang groups(0.33 g,0.17,and 0.08 crude drug? kg-1).Candida albicans solution was injected into the vigina of the estrous rats to establish colpomycosis model. The effect of Zangfukang suppository on the infection rate of candida albicans was observed. The bacterial vaginitis model was established by injecting the mixture bacteria of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli into the vagina of rats, and the effect of Zangfukang suppository on the gonococcal infection rate.RESULTS: After local application of Zangfukang suppository for 7 consecutive days for treatment of colpitis mycotica of rats, the infection rates of candida albicans were significantly lower in medium-dose and high-dose groups than in the model control group(P

Objective To study the efficacy and safety of Solifenacin on female overactive bladder (OAB) symptoms secondary to uncomplicated lower urinary tract infection. Methods Seventy-three adult female patients who had clinically diagnosed as OAB symptoms secondary to uncomplicated lower urinary tract infection were randomly divided into treatment group (41 cases) and control group (32 cases). Treatment group received Solifenacin , 5 mg orally qd , as well as OAB behavioral therapy , but control group was given only OAB behavioral therapy. The overactive bladder syndrome score (OABSS) was evaluated before and after antibiotic treatment in all the patients , and the treatment or observation time lasted four weeks after the antibiotic treatment were deactivated. Then OABSS scoring and the cure rate between two groups were compared. Results OABSS score of treatment group decreased significantly after receiving Solifenacin treatment one week , and the cure rate reached 56.10%, and two weeks later, the cure rate reached 92.68%. OABSS score of control group had no significant change one week after treatment and the cure rate was only 6.25%, but at the fourth week OABSS had decreased significantly and the cure rate reached 37.50%, which was still significantly lower than that of treatment group. There were no drug adverse events during treatment in both groups. Conclusions There is obvious clinical effect of solifenacin on female OAB symptoms secondary to uncomplicated lower urinary tract infection, which is safe and could significantly shorten the course of treatment.

Objective To investigate the role of expression in the differential diagnosis of thyroid follicular carcinoma and follicular variant of papillary carcinoma. Methods Seventy cases of thyroid lesions (including 15 cases of follicular adenomas, 15 cases of adinomatous goiters, 30 cases of papillary carcinomas and 10 cases of follicular carcinomas) were collected, and CD10 expression was detected by means of immunohistochemistry in above thyroid lesions. Results Seven of 9 cases of follicular variant of papillary carcinoma were CD10 positive (77.8), and 8 of 10 cases of follicular carcinoma were CD10 positive (80.0). However, CD10 was negative in all cases of non-follicular variant of papillary carcinoma, follicular adenoma, adinomatous goiter and normal thyroid tissue. Conclusion The detection of CD10 expression is useful to the differential diagnosis of thyroid follicular carcinoma and follicular variant of papillary carcinoma.
