Sump syndrome is a rare complication of side-to-side choledochoduodenostomy (CDD) and occasionally occurs after spontaneous gallbladder-bile duct-digestive tract fistula or end-to-side choledochojejunostomy. Before the development of minimally invasive surgery, conventional surgical operation used to be the most important treatment method. This article reviews the research advances in sump syndrome in recent years and points out that endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is the major diagnostic method for this disease, and endoscopic sphincterotomy combined with bile duct debridement is the most simple and effective measure for the treatment of sump syndrome.Meanwhile, this article briefly reviews sump syndrome with reference to related literature and clinical practice,in order to raise the awareness for sump syndrome.

Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammation,immune regulation and anti-stress effect of cartialgenous collagen zymolyte. Methods:The anti-inflammatory effect was observed by carrageenan-induced foot swelling test, the immune effect was observed by delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene and the anti-stress effect was observed by hypoxia tolerance and fatigue tolerance. Results:The cartialgenous collagen zymolyte can inhibit the carrageenan-induced foot swelling and delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene,and improve the macrophagocyte phagocytosis function, and enhance the body,s non-specific resistance to fatigue. Conclusion:Cartialgenous collagen zymolyte appeared obvious immune regulation,anti-inflammation and anti-stress effect.

BACKGROUND:As the potent, specific immunosuppressants emerge, the survival rate after intestinal transplantation is improved to some extent. However, the adverse effects of immunosuppressants and expensive treatment costs are not tolerable for many patients. Therefore, it is clinical y meaningful to choose traditional Chinese medicine which presents immunosuppressive effects. Artesunate has immune suppression effect, reduces acute rejection fol owing smal intestine transplantation, and improves the success rate of smal intestine transplantation.
OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect and action mechanism of artesunate in acute rejection after smal intestine transplantation in rats.
METHODS:Al ogeneic smal intestine transplantation models were established in the closed group of
Sprague-Dawley rats and Wistar rats, and then were randomly divided into three groups, syngenic transplantation group (SD→SD), al ogeneic transplantation group (Wistar→SD), and artesunate treatment group (Wistar→SD+artesunate 60 mg/kg per day, intraperitoneal injection).
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Rats in syngenic transplantation group survived for more than 10 days and they were al kil ed on day 10. The average survival of rats in al ogeneic transplantation group and artesunate treatment group was respectively (6.73±0.58) days and (8.50±0.74) days, with significant differences between the two groups (P<0.01). Histopathological examination showed that, there was no apparent rejection in syngenic transplantation group specimens, but mild, moderate and severe rejections in al ogeneic transplantation group on days 3, 5, 7. In treatment group, some specimens had mild rejection, but appeared relatively late to a low degree. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay results revealed that, serum interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma expression levels in al ogeneic transplantation group were significantly higher than other two groups after surgery (P<0.01), serum interleukin-2 gene expression level in treatment group was also higher than syngenic transplantation group, but there was no significant difference (P>0.05), serum interferon-gamma expression level in treatment group was higher than syngenic transplantation group (P<0.05). Artesunate can inhibit acute rejection after rat smal intestine transplantation, and its mechanism may be related to inhibition effect on the secretion and expression of interleukin-2, interferon-gamma and other cytokines.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2010;35(6):759-762
The objective was to evaluate the preventive and therapeutic effects of the collagen hydrolysate extracted from Sika deer velvet (CSDV) on osteoporosis rats induced by retinoicacid. Histomorphometric indices and serum biochemical parameters were measured in osteoporosis rats treated with/without antler collagen and in sham-operated rats. Our results were as follows: compared with the osteoporosis group, significant elevation in the levels of bone mineral density (BMD), Ca, P and static histomorphometric indexes and biomechanical properties, but reduction in the level of serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) were observed in antler collagen-treated groups. However, the above function with the collagenase solution velvet material varied with the different doses. In conclusion, the extracted collagen is found to play a role in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis rats by retinoic acid.

Chinese Journal of Health Policy 2017;10(5):39-44
In October 2016, the CPC Central Committee and State Council issued the outline of Healthy China 2030 Plan and put forward two main principles, namely integrating health into all policies (HiAP), and adhering to co-construction and co-sharing and mobilizing the whole society to participate.Based on this view, after analyzing the main contradictions in the social governance of China's health field, this paper points out that the synergistic design of social governance and the common governance by the whole society are the key issues to the implementation of China's health policy. This paper attempts to build a health-centered social governance mechanism that puts forward the focus on opening up the channels for citizens to participate in health policy, the formation of a unified health common value, the in-depth exploration of establishing community health services model that integrates medical resources with pension resources together to participate in the building of healthy China.

Objective To investigate the effects of tirofiban application time on middle-term clinical prognosis in patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI)treated by primary percutsneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods The study of tirofiban was carried out in 50 patients with STEM[in cardiology department from January to December 2006. Twenty-nine patients were randomized to receive tirofiban after PCI for 24 - 36 hours(short time group, STG) and 21 patients for 48 - 72 hours (long time group,LTG). Clinical characteristics, angiography data, main adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and coronary restenosis rate in 6-month follow-up of the two groups were. compared. Results Follow-up data showed that there was less intractable angina pectoris (14.3% vs 24.1%, P< 0.05) in LTG. But there was no significant difference in coronary restenosis rate between two groups. Conclusion Long time application of tirofiban following PCI in patients with STEMI could improve middle-term clinical prognosis by alleviating the incidence of intractable angina pectoris.

Dehydration is one of the key steps in the biosynthesis of mycolic acids and is vital to the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Consequently, stalling dehydration cures tuberculosis (TB). Clinically used anti-TB drugs like thiacetazone (TAC) and isoxyl (ISO) as well as flavonoids inhibit the enzyme activity of the β-hydroxyacyl-ACP dehydratase HadAB complex. How this inhibition is exerted, has remained an enigma for years. Here, we describe the first crystal structures of the MtbHadAB complex bound with flavonoid inhibitor butein, 2',4,4'-trihydroxychalcone or fisetin. Despite sharing no sequence identity from Blast, HadA and HadB adopt a very similar hotdog fold. HadA forms a tight dimer with HadB in which the proteins are sitting side-by-side, but are oriented anti-parallel. While HadB contributes the catalytically critical His-Asp dyad, HadA binds the fatty acid substrate in a long channel. The atypical double hotdog fold with a single active site formed by MtbHadAB gives rise to a long, narrow cavity that vertically traverses the fatty acid binding channel. At the base of this cavity lies Cys61, which upon mutation to Ser confers drug-resistance in TB patients. We show that inhibitors bind in this cavity and protrude into the substrate binding channel. Thus, inhibitors of MtbHadAB exert their effect by occluding substrate from the active site. The unveiling of this mechanism of inhibition paves the way for accelerating development of next generation of anti-TB drugs.
