As an effective therapeutic approach for acute ischemic stroke, endovascular interventional therapy has received increasing attention. However,a large number of revascularization clinical trials have shown that its mortality rate and the incidence of complications are higher than intravenous thrombolysis. This article reviews the perioperative complications of endovascular interventional therapy of acute ischemic stroke and thek treatment.

Objective To investigate the long-term therapeutic effectiveness of transplantation of adrenals for the treatment of Addison's disease in the past 15 years. Methods Nine cases subject to adrenal transplantation were followed up for a long-term and the outcome after 15 years was evaluated. Results Seven cases of graft adrenal survived. In 6 patients, urine 17-OHCS, urine 17-KS and serum cortisol were normal. The remaining two grafts out of the 9 cases didn't survive and they had abnormal levels of urine 17-OHCS, urine 17-KS and serum cortisol. Conclusion The transplantation of adrenals for the treatment of Addison's disease had a good long-term effectiveness.

Insulin Resistance(IR) is the core of metabolic syndrome(MR) which is once regarded as deadly quartet.Early intervals can prevent or delay the occurrence and progress of diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease.Health education, diet tyerapy, exercises and durgs are of great importance during nursing care.

Objective To investigate the dynamic change of serum high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP) after carotid artery stenting (CAS) and its correlation with in-stent restenosis. Methods The serum hsCRP levels were determined before procedure,at 12 hours,7 days,3 and 6 months after procedure in patients who underwent CAS in the Department of Neurology,Jinling Hospital,Nanjing Their cerebral angiography was reexamined and whether there was in-stent restenosis after 6 months was observed. Results Eighty-four patients treated with CAS were included in the study.Fifteen (24%) had in-stent restenosis after CAS.The stenosis in 3 of them was > 50%,and the stenosis m 12 of them was 30% to 50%.The serum hs-CRP levels in all patients after procedure were significantly higher than those before treatment (all P < 0.01 ),and they were significantly lower at 6 months after procedure than before treatment (all P <0.01).Univariate analysis showed that the proportion of diabetes in the restenosis group was significantly higher than that in the non-restenosis group (P<0.01).At 7 days (8.83 ± 1.94 mg/L vs.6.77 ± 1.63 mg/L,t =14.398,P=0.044),3 months after procedure (8.26 ± 1.32 mg/L vs.4.58 ± 1.45 mg/L,t =17.569,P =0.008) and 6 months after procedure (7.04 ± i.07 mg/L vs.3.12 ± 1.28 mg/L,t =21.867,P =0.003),the serum hs-CRP levels in the restenosis group were significantly higher than those in the non-restenosis group, and the difference of the serum hs-CRP level (△ hs-CRP) before procedure and at 6 month after procedure was significantly lower than that in the nonrestenosis group (0.85 ± 0.13 mg/L vs.4.89 ± 0.94 mg/L,t =16.987,P =0.000).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that /hs-CRP (odds ratio [ OR] 2.392,95% confidence interval [ CI] 1.538 -3.513; P =0.009) and diabetes (OR 1.840,95% CI 1.372 -2.241; P =0.023) were the risk factors for instent restenosis. Conclusions The serum hs-CRP level increased significantly at 12 hours after CAS procedure, and then decreased continuously. At 6 months after procedure, the more decrease of the serum hs-CRP level, the lower risk of occurring in-stent restenosis was.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1981;0(04):-
The effects of gradual tibia lengthening at different speeds on the histomorphology of tibial nerve were studied in 30 rabbits by self-made external distraction device. It was showed that the leg was tracted at the speed of 1 mm/d, the tibial nerve was lengthened correspondingly. Gradual stress could stimulate the growth of nervous tissue and no nervous functional and constructural injuries were found When the leg was distracted at the speed of 2 mm/d, limb elongation within 40% was safe, otherwise, severe nervous damage would occur.

Aim To investigate the lipid-lowering mechanism of Chinese Medicine curcumin.A sterol regulatory report system of LDLR gene expression in HEK-293 cell line was established.Method A green fluorescent protein(GFP) gene was constructed downstream of the sterol regulatory element-1(SRE-1) and the constructed plasmid was introduced into HEK-293 cell line. This SRE-GFP transfected 293 cells were treated with different concentration of curcumin for 2 days. The expression of GFP in the cells was measured by a fluorescence microscope and Flow Cytometry. Results The expression of GFP in SRE-GFP transfected 293 cells was obviously induced by curcumin. Conclusion Curcumin may positively affect the expression of LDLR gene by its influence on SRE-1.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(03):-
NF-?B is one of important transcription factors, which plays an important role in many immune and inflammatory responses. The novel data showed that the NF-?B pathway was also detectable in myocardial cells, vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cells, and involved in the development of many car-diovascular diseases. The present review gives a detail presentation of current advances on relationship betweenNF-?B and cardiovascular diseases.

Objective Cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) are important indicators of cerebral small vessel disease .However, it is still unclear whether endothelial dysfunction is involved in CMBs .The aim of this study is to investigate the correlation between CMBs and soluble E-selectin (sE-selectin) in patients with acute ischemic stroke . Methods Based on the results of MRI (3.0 T) susceptibility weighted imaging , we divided patients with first acute ischemic stroke into a CMBs group ( n=63 ) and a non-CMBs group (n=63), and recruited another 45 volunteers with normal MRI findings as controls .We collected and conducted comparative a-nalysis on the demographic data , biochemical variables ( including the sE-selectin level ) , vascular risk factors , and the number of CMBs of the patients . Results Ordinal logistic regression analysis showed a significantly positive correlation between sE -selectin and the number of CMBs (OR=1.062, 95%CI:1.023-1.103, P=0.002), higher systolic blood pressure associated with more CMBs (OR=1.014, 95%CI:1.002-1.025, P=0.021). Conclusion Serum sE-selectin is significantly positively correlated with and can be used as a biological marker for the severity of CMBs .

objective To investigate the multiple early variables that influenced the 6th months prognosis of comprehensive function in patients with stroke. Methods Two hundreds and eleven patients of primary cerebral infarction and primary cerebral hemorrhage in Shanghai were divided into treated group and controlled group randomly.Patients in the treated group were given standardized tertiary rehabilitation, while those in the controlled group received normal internal medicine treatments but without standardized tertiary rehabilitation.Twenty seven early variables were collected with regard to the patients'medical history, physical examination, scores with CNFD,S-FMA and MBI at the time of enrollment. The patients'FCA scores at the ends of the 6th months after stroke were used as the comprehensive functional outcome.Stepwise multiple regression analysis applied to analyze the data. Results Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that therapeutic regimen,CNFD scores, age, diabetes mellitus,SFMA scores, smoking and labour intensity predicted comprehensive functional outcome at the ends of the 6th months after stroke. Conclusion Certain early variables predict the long-term comprehensive functional prognosis of stroke patients.Therapeutic regimen,CNFD scores and age were significant predictors.
