Journal of International Oncology 2006;0(01):-
Objective To determine whether vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) could be used as a tumor marker by detecting the VEGF levels in serum and effusion from malignant tumor patients. Methods VEGF concentrations were measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in the serum from the healthy donors and in the serum and the malignant effusion from the patients. Results The serum VEGF levels from the malignant tumor patients was higher than that from the healthy donors, and there was a significant difference ( P
2.Current progression and prospect in the targeting therapy of age-related macular degeneration
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(1):1-6
Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) has become a leading cause of irreversible visual loss in senior population and a serious issue of public health as the aging of society worldwide, especially wet AMD.Wet AMD is characterized by choroidal neovascularization(CNV)with a rapidly developing process andsevere impairment of visual acuity. The effective therapy that can destroy choroidal neovascularization and improve visual acuity for very long time is lack.In the recent 20 years, more attentions focuse on the treatment of choroidal neovascularization. From bench to bedside, the research on targeted treatment of angiogenesis brings the bloom of wet AMD medical therapy. This paper will summarize the update information of wet AMD.

Objective To research on reversal mechanism of active ingredients of Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction on lipopolysaccharide-induced acute kidney injury. Methods C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into 6 groups: control group, LPS group, rhein group, berberine group, baicalin group and dexamethasone group.8 mice in each group.Control group were injected intraperitoneally with 0.9%NaCl 0.5 mL, and the remaining groups were injected intraperitoneally with LPS 0.1 mL/g.The mice of rhein group, berberine group, baicalin group and dexamethasone group were respectively injected intraperitoneally rhein, berberine, baicalin ( 0.1 mL/g ) and dexamethasone ( 0.0001 mL/g ) 2 h before LPS injection. One day after LPS treatment, mice were decapitated and blood collected, diagnostic kits and automatic biochemical analyzer were used to detected urea nitrogen and creatinine.TNF-αand IL-6 concentrations in serum were detected by ELISA kit.HE staining and immunohistochemistry were performed in the kidney tissues.expression of apoptosis protein detected by Western blot.ResuIts Compared to control group, the blood urea nitrogen, serum creatnine, TNF-αand IL-6 level were significantly lower ( P<0.05 ) .HE staining found the renal tubular epithelial cell which treated with LPS were swelling, degeneration, loss, narrow lumen and tube type and exudate, renal interstitial edema, inflammatory cells infiltration. And symptoms of the other group were significantly slight.Immunohistochemical results showed that the expression of Bax and Caspase3 in LPS group was obviously increased, while the expression of the others group was decreased, neither did Bcl-2.Western blot results showed that apoptosis proteins Bax, Cleave-caspase3, CytoC expression increased of LPS group, while the other groups were lower than LPS group. But Bcl-2 expression reduced in LPS group and increased in others group.ConcIusion The effective constituent of Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction can reversal of LPS induced acute kidney injury and its mechanism of action is similar to that of dexamethason.

Objective To examine the reliability and validity of Chinese version of the achievement goal questionnaire(AGQ).Methods The English version of the AGQ was translated into Chinese which was then translated into English again to verify that the Chinese version was the same constructs as the original version.Stratified chester sampling method was used for 1115 university students.Additionally, internal consistency,test-retest and confirmatory factor analyses were analyzed. Results (1) All of the NFI (0.941),CFI (0.953),TLI (0.924),x2/df (2.386),REMEA (0.046) met the criteria standards for adequacy of fit.The factors loadings ranged from 0.47 to 0.93 ; the squared multiple correlations were 0.22-0.86.(2) The invariance of the AGQ across gender was supported.(3)The Cronbach's α coefficient of the AGQ was 0.83;the test-reliability coefficient was 0.77 ;the mean interitem correlation coefficients ranged from 0.40 to 0.57.(4) The correlation coefficients of the four factors with the total scale score ranged from 0.54 to 0.77,and the correlation coefficients among the four factors ranged from 0.06 to 0.61.Performance approach and master approach goal was significantly positive correlations with self-esteem.Performance avoidance and mastery avoidance goal was significantly negative correlations with self-esteem,but positively with anxiety.Master approach goal was significantly negative correlations with anxiety. Conclusion The Chinese version of the AGQ is a reliable and valid method for assessing achievement goal in Chinese-speaking sample.

Objective To screen out the individuals at high cognitive risk by using the weakest link theory, and explore the characters of the cognitive emotion regulation. Methods 600 undergraduate students were tested with cognitive style questionnaire, general social and academic hassles scale, center for epidemiologic studies depression scale, and cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire. Results There were significant differences between individuals of high and low cognitive risk in self-blame (13.32 ± 2.12) vs (12.45 ± 2.27),rumination,catastrophizing,blaming others, positive refocusing and positive reappraising.Catastrophizing, generality, rumination, positive reappraising,stress,self-blame,and self could predict 34.2% of depression. Conclusion There are differences between individuals of high and low cognitive risk in cognitive emotion regulation.Catastrophizing, generality, rumination, positive reappraising,stress,self-blame,and self are the main predictors of depression.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(2):164-167
High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (HRMRI) is a safe, non-invasive, inexpensive, accurate and reproducible clini-cal imaging modality, and the results can acutely reflect the extent of atherosclerotic disease and have high predictive values for future clini-cal events. It uses black blood imaging techniques and can obtain sufficient sensitivity for submillimetre imaging. HRMRI has been used widely to visualize the vessel wall and differentiate the components of atherosclerotic plaques. It is of important clinical meaning to evaluate plaque vulnerability with HRMRI, which is related to the remodeling pattern, plaque burden, intraplaque hemorrhage and contrast enhance-ment, and plaque distribution, etc.

Objective To evaluate the functional changes in the isometric, concentric and eccentric muscle strength of the knee extensors and flexors in patients with knee osteoarthritis, and to explore the relationship among these contractions. Methods A Biodex System-3 isokinetic test system was used to assess the isometric, concentric and eccentric strength of the knee extensors and flexors of the involved and uninvolved limbs of 54 patients suffering from osteoarthritis. Results The strength of the knee extensors and flexors of the involved limbs was significantly less than that of the uninvolved legs in the different contraction modes(P<0.05).The difference was especially marked in concentric and eccentric contraction at low angular velocity. The hamstrings/quadriceps ratio and the dy- namic control ratio showed abnormalities in the muscle balance of the hamstrings and quadriceps. Conclusion Iso- kinetic testing should be applied and the hamstrings/quadriceps ratio and the dynamic control ratio should be analyzed in evaluating patients with knee osteoarthritis.

Objective To determine the extent and distribution of error in knee joint proprioception and e- valuate the relationship between knee joint proprioception and pain and dysfunction. Methods Twenty-eight knee OA patients (19 female and 9 male) were compared with 27 age-matched healthy adults (20 female and 7 male). Knee joint proprioception was measured with a repositioning test on the Biodex dynamometer. The pain and knee dys- function were assessed with Visual Analogue Scale and Lequesne Index, respectively. Results Knee OA patients produced 79% more proprioception errors than the healthy subjects (P
