Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(02):-
Objective To discuss digital subtraction angiography(DSA)findings and interventional treatment of broncho-costoarterial pulmonary circulation fistula(BPF).Methods Fifty one patients with massive hemoptysis were undergone DSA showing 19 cases with BPF.All BPF were cmbolized with 500~700?PVA, silk particles and segments, and steel coil;separately or in combination according to shunt orifice size and blood flow velocity. Results There were 4 types of BPF demonstrated by DSA according to feeding and drainage vessels, including 13 cases of bronchial artery-pulmonary artery shunt(AAS),2 cases of bronchial artery-pulmonary venous shunt(AVS),3 cases of intercostal artery-pulmonary artery shunt(IAPS)and 1 case of bronchial arteriovenous malformatoin(B-AVM).All patients were followed up for 1~4 years, with 18 cases of complete symptomless during 7 days postoperatively obtaining, the effective rate of 94.7%.There were 3 recurrent cases within 1 year with the recurrent rate of 15.79%.Conlusions BPF is the main factor for inducing and aggrevating pulmonary hemoptysis and interventional embolization serves as a safe and effective treatment. The method could be used repeatedly for recurrent cases and furthermore emphasis should be put on treating the primary pulmonary diseases simultaneously.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:84-87)

Objective To explore the polysomnography(PSG) characteristice of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OS-AHS) and primary snoring(PS) in children and clinical value of PSG in children with sleep disorders. Methods We analyzed 74 children with OSAHS and 62 with PS, every patient being monitored with PSG for 7 hours at night for 16 parameters, including apnea hypopnea index(AHI), periodic leg movement index(PLMI),and the lowest oxygen saturation(LSaQ2) etc. The parameters of the 2 groups were comparaed. Results Comparaed with PS group, there was statistically significant difference in parameters such as PLMI, AHI,LSaQ2,the moderate oxygen saturation(MSaO2).AHI in non- rapid eye movement (NREM)(P

· AIM: To investigate the influence of TGF-β 2 antisense oligonucleotide(ASON) on the differentiation, proliferation of stromal fibroblast in corneal stroma injury.both eyes of 28 rabbits, the right eyes were served as experimental group, corneal incisions were sutured with 8-0 coated vicryl suture carrying TGF-β 2 ASON; the left eyes were served as control group, corneal incision were sutured with common 8-0 coated vicryl suture. Rabbits were killed at 4, 7, 14 and 28d after surgery, stromal fibroblasts were examined by immune histochemistry and electron microscopy.significantly reduced the numbers of cells expressingα -smooth muscle actin (α -SMA) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). The ultrastructure of fibroblast had no significant difference in two groups.differentiation and proliferation of stromal fibroblast in corneal injury. This will be a new method to adjust corneal wound repair.

Objective To evaluate the clinical impact of 18F-FDG PET/CT on patients with suspected cervical cancer recurrence. Methods Fifty-one cervical cancer patients, clinically suspected to have tumor recurrence during follow-up, underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT examination. 18 F-FDG PET/CT results were compared with those of conventional images, as referred to histopathology or clinical follow-up. Impacts of 18F-FDG PET/CT were evaluated based on documented changes of clinical management. Results In total, 43 patients were found to have positive lesions by 18F-FDG PET/CT, in which 40 were true recurrence, but 2 were pelvic abscess and 1 was radiation enterocolitis. Other 8 patients were found negative by 18F-FDG PET/CT and confirmed by pathology or follow-up. In patient-based analyses, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of 18F-FDG PET/CT for the detection of tumor recurrence were 100% (40/40), 72. 73% (8/11),and 94.12% (48/51) respectively. In 7 patients, the clinical management was changed due to 18F-FDG PET/CT findings. Conclusion 18F-FDG PET/CT is an efficient tool for determining the recurrence of cervical cancer and instructing the clinical management.

Hippophae rhamnoides is one of the most representative economy crops for its wide uses of biological diversity and abundance of resource. As the key healthy food development and ecology protection, H. rhamnoides has been developed widely. Meanwhile, the development of H. rhamnoides has obtained great achievements. Nowadays, H. rhamnoides is still a necessary economy crop, while it has great influence on ecology protection. This paper discussed the phytochemistry, pharmacology, clinical application and product development, and propounded some suggestions for future research and economy development to get comprehensive benefit of H. rhamnoides and to serve for well-off society.

Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2010;26(10):791-795
Objective To study the effect of recombinant human edostatin on peritoneal angiogenesis in uremic peritoneal dialysis(PD) rats. Methods Forty male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control rats (group 1), renal failure without PD rats (group 2), rats dialyzed with 4.25% PD solution (group 3), rats dialyzed with 4.25% PD solution and received subcutaneous injection of recombinant human endostatin 10 mg/kg (group 4), rats dialyzed with 4.25% PD solution and received subcutaneous injection of recombinant human endostatin 40 mg/kg (group 5). Recombinant human endostatin was given every other day during peritoneal dialysis period, total 14 times. After regular PD for 28 days, tissue immunohistochemical staining and RT-PCR were used to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of VEGF and bFGF in peritoneal tissues of each group rats. Microvessel density (MVD) of peritoneum was detected and quantified with anti-CD34 immunohistochemical staining. Results The mRNA and protein of VEGF and bFGF were expressed in each group. Compared to group 1, the mRNA and protein expression of VEGF and bFGF were significantly up-regulated in group 2 and group 3 (all P<0.05). Compared with group 3, the mRNA and protein expression of VEGF and bFGF were significantly downregulated in group 4 and group 5 (all P<0.05). Compared with group 4, the mRNA and protein expression of VEGF and bFGF were significantly down-regulated in group 5 (all P<0.05). The new microvascular vessels in group 1 showed little or none. Compared with group 1, MVD was significantly increased in group 2 and group 3 (P<0.05). Compared with group 3, MVD was significantly decreased in group 4 and group 5 (all P<0.05). Conclusions Recombinant human endostatin can effectively inhibit rat peritoneal neoangiogensis. Down-regulated expression of VEGF and bFGF in peritoneum may be one of the mechanisms of recombinant human endostatin inhibiting peritoneal angiogenesis.
