1.Current research of retinal ischemia model in rodent
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(5):513-516
Retinal ischemia is a common cause of blindness and visual impairment. Some eye diseases, such as glaucoma, retinal artery occlusion and diabetic retinopathy, are associated with retinal ischemia. It is very important to build an ideal animal model which can imitate human retinal ischemia disease for investigating the pathological mechanism and treatment of retinal ischemia.Rodent is a popular choice for retinal ischemia model due to its availability and the similarity to human retinal blood supply. To provide a supportive evidence of retinal ischemia research, some literature concerning rodent models is reviewed and various methods to build the model are summarized, such as elevated intraocular pressure, optic nerve ligation, ligation of vessels,photo-chemistry,endothelin-1 injection and middle cerebral artery occlusion intraluminal suture, etc. Here, the specific protocols, the pathological changes and molecular mechanism of each model are reviewed.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(18):3682-3686
To discuss the distribution of patents' holders for Chinese herbal compounds in treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, the patents' holders for Chinese herbal compounds in treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular were cluster analyzed by means of simple statistics and cluster analysis. Clustering variables were composed of patent applications, patent maintained number, related papers' quantity, etc. Chinese herbal compound patents' holders were divided into four categories according to their different scientific research and patent strength. It is the magic weapon for Chinese herbal compound patents' holders that have scientific research patents' transforming and make coordination of patent protection and scientific innovation.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of recombinant human endostatin (rh-endostatin) combined with Lobaplatin for injection and irinotecan injection in the treatment of advanced recurrent small cell lung cancer (SCLC). METHODS:A total of 88 patients with advanced recurrent SCLC in our hospital were divided into control group (41 cases) and observation group (47 cases) according to random number table. Control group was given Irinotecan injection+Lobaplatin for injection. Observation group was additionally given Recombinart human endostatin injection 15 mg added into 0.9%Sodium chloride injection 250 mL,ivgtt,qd,for consecutive 14 d,every 14 d. A treatment course lasted for 28 d,and both groups were treated for 2 courses. The clinical efficacy, the levels of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),the scores physical state (ECOG) and quality of life (QOL) before, after treatment were observed in the two groups, and the survival and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. RESULTS:The total response rate of observation group was 59.6%,which was higher than 43.9% of control group, but there was no statistical significance (P>0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference in serum CEA levels,ECOG scores or QOL scores, between 2 groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the serum CEA levels of the two groups were significantly decreased, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group, with statistically significant (P<0.05). In observation group,ECOG scores decreased while QOL scores increased significantly, and significantly better than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). The overall survival(OS)of observation group was 16.8 months, which was significantly higher than 11.5 months of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The incidence of leucopenia in observation group was significantly higher than control group;the incidence of leucopenia and abnormal liver function were significantly lower than control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Rh-endostatin injection combined with lobaplatin and irinotecan can improve serum CEA levels and the quality of living aswell as prolong the survival time.

Objective To clarify the cellular localization of triptolide and to explore its in-cell action sites. Methods 4-(Bro-momethyl)-7-methoxycoumarin was employed to label triptolide, then labelled triptolide was incubated with human hepatoma carci-noma cells.Subsequently, incubated cells were subjected to stain with fluorescent dye DiI or PI,which were specific to cytoplasmic membrane system and nucleus, respectively. Results Compared with the non-triptolide control, coumarin labelled triptolide shown a light blue fluorescence under UV excitation;Co-localization with DiI showed that triptolide exist in cytoplasm and(or)on cell mem-brane;Co-localization with PI showed that triptolide located in cell nucleus. Moreover, microscopic observation indicated that the fluorescence intensity in nucleus was denser than that in cytoplasm. Conclusion The presnt study demonstrate that triptolide main-ly act in nucleus, followed by acting in cytoplasm and(or)on cell membrane.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(02):-
Objective To compare the myocardial protection effects of cold blood cardioplegia and cold crystalloid cardioplegia in patients undergoing valve replacement surgery. Methods One hundred adult patients with cardiac function Ⅱ~Ⅲ class undergoing primary elective valve replacement surgery due to rheumatic heart disease were retrospectively analyzed. For patients with cardiac arrest, cold blood cardioplegia was applied to 50 cases(Group B),and cold crystalloid cardioplegia to the others(group C).The process of heart resuscitation, the postoperative need of dopamine, the blood pressure and heart rate, the postoperative level of serum myocardial enzyme, the intensive care unit(ICU) stay after operation were collected and statistically analyzed. All the cardioplegic solution was perfused in a similar manner and topical cooling was employed simultaneously. Results There were less cases in group B than in group C who needed isoprenaline for cardiac resuscitation after clamp removal(P0.05).Conclusion The cold blood cardioplegia and cold crystalloid cardioplegia have similar myocardial protection effects on rheumatic heart disease patients with cardiac function Ⅱ~Ⅲ class undergoing valve replacement surgery.

To develop a method to estimate the anti-Aspergilli activity of active ingredients of Chinese herbs. With the broth microdilution testing procedure proposed by NCCLS, anti-Aspergilli activity of active ingredients ( cinnamalde-hyde, cinn. and citral) of Chinese herbs was determined. The MIC values of cinn. to Aspergillus flavus, A.fumigatus were 0.100?g /mL , 0.050?g/mL.The MIC values of citral to A. flaws, A.fumigatus were 2.600?g/mL, 0.650?g/ mL.These results demonstrate that citral and cinn. have high potency activity against Aspergillus spp. .The research may provide references to establishing a standard for evaluating the effect of anti-Aspergilli Chinese herbs.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(12):-
Vibrio parahaemolyticus has been considered as one of the most important foodborne bacterial pathogens. The loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP) that amplifies DNA with high specificity and rapidity under an isothermal condition was applied for rapid detection of this pathogen for the first time.A set of four primers, two outer and two inner primers, was designed specifically to recognize the thermolabile hemolysin gene(tlh) of V.parahaemolyticus.The LAMP reaction mix was optimized. The most optimal reaction temperature and time of the LAMP assay for the tlh gene were 60℃ and 60min,respectively.Genomic DNAs from 28 bacterial strains including 14 V.parahaemolyticus strains were amplified using LAMP,and no amplicon was observed in other bacterial strains. The detection limit of this LAMP assay was around 90 fg of V.parahaemolyticus genomic DNA and 24 colonies forming units for pure cultures. In addition, this method was applied to detect artificially contaminated food samples, and the detection limit was 89 cfu/g for non-cultured artificially contaminated food samples. These results suggested that detection of V.parahaemolyticus by LAMP is an effective and low-cost procedure with high specificity and sensitivity that requires no specialized equipment. This assay is expected to become a valuable tool for rapid detection and identification of V.parahaemolyticus.
