The effect on the growth and phenol degradation of the thermophilic strain BF80 by seventeen different metal ions were studied. The results showed that the metal ions certainly affected the growth and phenol degradation of the strain BF80. At the concentration of 0.01%,contrasting to the comparison,the growth and phenol degradation of the strain BF80 were restrained intensively by the metal ions of Cu2+,Zn2+,Co2+,Ba2+,Hg2+,Ni2+,Ag+,Al3+. The metal ions of Cr2+ restrained the phenol degradation of BF80 strongly while Cr2+ restrained the growth of BF80 faintly. The metal ions of Sn2+,Fe2+,Fe3+,Pn2+ restrained the growth and phenol degradation of the strain BF80 at a certain concentration,and the effect of inhibition in-creased with the increase of the concentrations of the metal ions. At the low concentration of Mn2+ or Mo2+,the growth and phenol degradation of the strain BF80 were increased,but if the concentration beyond the 0.1%,the growth and phenol degradation of the strain BF80 were inhibited. At the different concentration of Ca2+ or Mg2+,the growth of the strain BF80 were increased and the phenol degradation were accelerated,but the max rate of phenol degradation by BF80 was not influenced obviously. When the medium was added themixture of metal ions of Mo2+ and Mn2+,the strain BF80 grew better,but the rate of the phenol degradation was lower than that of single Mo2+ and Mn2+.

Objective To investigate the expression changes of SSR in the process of cardiac remodeling.Methods Myocardial infarction (MI) was induced by left anterior descending coronary artery ligation in mice to establish cardiac remodeling model.Mice subjected to isoproterenol (ISO) subcutaneous injection for 2 weeks to establish acute cardiac injury model.Mice subjected to aortic banding (AB) to establish a mouse model of cardiac hypertrophy.RT-PCR was used to detect the expression change of SSR in various cardiac remodeling models.Results The expression levels of SSR subunit 1 (SSR1) and 3 (SSR3) were significantly decreased in mice after 2 weeks of MI (P ＜ 0.05),and were also decreased in acute cardiac injury induced by 2 weeks of ISO injection (P ＜ 0.05),and reduced afterl week of AB operation (P ＜ 0.05).However,the expression of SSR1 and SSR3 increased at 2 weeks after AB (P ＜ 0.05),and sustained to 8 wccks after AB (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The expression of SSR3 and SSR1 in different models of cardiac remodeling were significantly changed,and showed dynamic changes,suggesting that it may participate in the occurrence and development of cardiac remodeling.

Objective To investigate human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV 1)specific CD8'T cell responses and related human leukocyte antigenⅠ(HLA-I)restriction sites.Methods Four Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)strains-transformed B-lymphoblastoid cell lines (BLCL)from periph eral blood monocytes (PBMC)of 4 healthy individuals were established.Using synthesized peptides in HIV-1 Gag,Vif and Nef regions as epitopes and using BLCL as antigen presenting cells (APC), the frequency of interferon-7(IFN-?)secreting cells in CD8 T cells from a HIV-infected long term nonprogressor by enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT)assay in vitro were assessed.Moreover, matching analysis of HI.A-Ⅰrestriction sites were performed.Results HIV-1 epitopes were presen ted restrictively by HLA-Ⅰmolecules in specific CD8 T cell responses,and this antigen presenting had high specificity.HLA-Ⅰrestriction sitesA03,A26,C04andC08 contributed to presentepitopes in HIV-1 C-ag region,A03 and C08 to HIV-1 Nef as well.Conclusion HLA-Ⅰrestriction sites may include A03,A26,C04 and C08 in HIV-1 Gag region,and A03,C08 in Nef region.

According to the practice and understanding in the process of microbiological experiment teaching,organizational thinking and form,the teaching contents and methods of this course are induced and summarized.It is put forward that the experimental teaching is organized as the form of research project,the students are principal part and the teachers play a leading role.Meanwhile the main problems of the teaching module and resolved measures are analyzed.

Objective To study the effect of cervical disc replacement in the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM).Methods 21 patients with CSM(17 cases of spondylotic myelopathy,2 cases of radiculopathy and 2 cases of acute soft disc herniation)were treated by anterior decompression and replaced by the Bryan cervical disc prosthesis. Results All cases were: followed for 4～12 months, average 8 months. The pre-operative JOA score was 8.5 and post-operative score was 15.5 on average. There were no prosthesis, curve was good. Replaced segment achieved stability and restored partial of normal ROM. There was no subsidence of implant and no worsening of pre-operative symptoms, post-operative 21 cases remained flexion/extension movement at replaced segments at latest follow up. There was no neck stiffness and restriction of movement complained by the patients. Conclusion The Bryan cervical disc replacement for the treatment of CSM has offered an excellent early clinical outcome.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the current situation and the trend of drug consumption in Chengdu.METHODS:Data of drug consumption of16hospitals in Chengdu area during2001～2003were analyzed.RESULTS:The consumption of drugs in2002and2003increased by19.56%and27.19%respectively;ratio for the sales amount of the imported drugs,the joint-venture made drugs and the domestic drugs tended to be stable;there was a big change in the rank order of sales amount from the No.2～No.8among the14big chief drug categories;there was a big change in drug kinds and sequence among the top15drugs in sales sum;the top10pharmacy manufacturers varied with the variation of their competitiveness.CONCLU-SION:The current situation of drug consumption in Chengdu area is good and the hospital drug consumption will become more and more reasonable with the deepening of reformation of the medical treatment system.

Objective To investigate the pharmacodynamic action of Yunkang Capsule(YKC).Methods The animals were divided into YKC groups(at high-,moderate-and low-dosage respectively),diphenidol control group,model control group and blank control group.The action of YKC on vertigo and thrombosis,hemorrheologic indexes,piamatral microcirculation and free radicals of the animal models were observed.Results YKC could significantly prolong the latency of vertigo,reduce wet weight of thrombus,decrease blood viscosity,plasma viscosity and hematocrit,promote the dilation of piamatral micro-vessels,increase the amount of interweave microdot,increase plasma SOD activity and decline plasma MDA content of animal models.Conclusion YKC has actions of counteracting vertigo and thrombosis,improving hemorrheology and microcirculation,and clearing away free radicals.

Objective: To evaluate the genetic toxicity of Thuja essential oil by salmonella reversion test (AMES test) and mammal micronucleus test.Methods: TA97, TA98, TA100 and TA102 were used in AMES test to evaluate the mutagenesis of Thuja essential oil.Mouse bone marrow micronucleus test was conducted to assess the chromosome toxicity of the drug.Results: Both in S9 present and absent situations, the numbers of reverse mutation of Thuja essential oil at different doses for the four strains were all less than 1-fold of that of solvent control, and the difference had no statistical significance (P>0.05), suggesting negative mutation.The micronucleus test indicated that Thuja essential oil had no influence on the rate of mouse bone marrow micronucleus (P>0.05).Conclusion: Thuja essential oil shows no obvious genetic toxicity.
