Objective To systematically review the efficiency of 18 F-FDG PET in glioma grading by using Meta-analysis. Methods Retrieval in PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI)was performed. Relevant papers concerning with glioma diagnoses with 18 F- FDG PET were selected. Paper quality was evaluated according to the standard of diagnostic test recommended by Cochrane Workshop. The data of glioma malignancy degree defined as semi-quantitatively and qualitatively were extracted from the papers. Meta-analysis was conducted with the Meta-Disc software to calculate pooled weighted sensitivity and specificity with 95% confidence interval (CI). Summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve was performed and the areas under the curve (AUC) were calculated. Results Seven hundred and fifty-three patients from 17 papers ( 16 in English, 1 in Chinese) were included. Two hundred and seventy-two patients from 11 papers were using semi-quantitative (tumor to cortex ratio, T/C; tumor to white matter ratio,T/W) method and 481 patients from 9 papers were using qualitative method (visual observation, some of the papers had 2 or more methods). After heterogeneity test was done, different effect models were selected. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) with 95% CI for T/C group was 0. 952 (95% CI: 0. 903 -0. 980), 0. 409 (95% CI: 0. 318-0. 504) and 11. 746 (95% CI:5. 368-25. 702) respectively. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and DOR with 95% CI for T/W group was 0. 857 (95% CI: 0. 768-0. 922), 0. 538 (95% CI: 0. 431 -0. 642) and 22. 066 (95% CI:7. 077-68. 800) respectively. The pooled weighted sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR)with 95% CI for qualitative method was 0.810 (95%CI: 0.757-0.855), 0.870 (95%CI: 0. 819-0.911 ) and 15.282 (95% CI: 3. 716-62. 851 ) respectively. The AUC for T/C group, T/W group and qualitative method was 0.8604, 0. 8373 and 0. 8724 respectively. Conclusions Grading glioma by 18 F-FDG PET with semi-quantitative method may provide high diagnostic sensitivity. If qualitative method is used, the diagnostic specificity may be higher.

HPLC fingerprint of Congrong Zonggan capsule was established in order to provide basis for quality evaluation. With acteoside as the reference, HPLC was adopted for fingerprint analysis on Congrong Zonggan capsule. The chromatographic conditions wereas follows. Waters C18 column (4.6 mm x 150 mm, 5 μm) was used, with methylalcohol-0.1% formic acid as the mobile phase for gradient elution at the flow rate of 1.0 mL x min(-1). The detection wavelength was 330 nm, and the column temperature was 30 °C. This method was highly accurate and reproducible. All of the 13 components in tested samples reached the baseline resolved peak, and 15 batches of finished products showed the similarity of above 0.95. The method was accurate and feasible and could be used as a simple and effective method to evaluate the quality of the traditional Chinese medicines.

OBJECTIVE: To improve the formula and the preparation method of ZnO Lotion so as to make it more adaptable to the clinical needs. METHODS: Adjust the previous dosage of menthol and ethanol and the preparation method was shifted to wet-sifting from trituration. RESULTS: The improved preparation was more exquisite and more stable in quality yet with less irritation. And the improved preparation method is more convenient in operation. CONCLUSION: The improved formula and improved preparation method are worth to be widely used.

METHODS: Polymerase chain reaction single-strand conformation polymorphisms technique (PCR-SSCP) and immunohistochemical assay of S-P immunostaining technique were used to study polymorphisms of p21 WAF1 and protein expression respectively on the specimen of paraffin-embedded tissues in 100 cases of breast carcinomas and 40 benign breast diseases as control. Objective To evaluate the influence of respiration on the radiation dose distribution within target volume in radiotherapy with film dosimetry. Methods Radiation of 50 MU was delivered by a square, round, ellipse, dumb bell, or female shaped filed to the films within a moving or motionless Respiration Motion Phantom respectively, the dose distributions for the two motion status were measured and compared. In order to further verify the impact of respiration, a plank phantom was used on different shifting value: 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 cm, respectively. A square, round, or eUipse-shaped filed was used for irradiation and the distributions in different status were measured and compared with film dosimetry. Iso-dose line comparison, NAT(Normalized Agreement Tests) and γ comparison were used for the comparison of dose distributions. Fs can be an index to reflect the variability of the areas that surrounded by iso-dose lines. (FS90, FS50, FS25 delegates the ratio of the areas that surrounded by 90 %,50 %,25 % iso-dose hne in different situation respectively). Results (1) Compared with motionless situation, the FS90 in horizontal movement situation became small and the FS25 became large. As the displacement became larger, the FS90 became larger and the FS25 became smaller. FS in vertical movement situation, square and dumb bell fields changed while the others didn't have a change. (2)γ and NAT comparison: In the horizontal movement situation, compared with the static phantom, Pγ < 60 % and PNAT < 75 %. Under vertical movement situation, Pγ were less than 85 % for the square, round, dumb bell and female shaped fileds. In the plank phantom verification, Pγ and PNAT became smaller as the movement became larger. Conclusions The respiration can impact on the dose distribution within the target volume in radiotherapy, leading to a smaller area of higher dose level and an expanded area of lower dose level. The influence will become more significant with larger movement of the target.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pramipexole in treating restless legs syndrome (RLS).Methods A search for randomized,double-blind,and placebo-controlled clinical trials of pramipexole in treating moderate to severe RLS using CNKI,PubMed,Embase and Cochrane Library database was carried out. A meta-analysis of included clinical trials was performed with RevMan 5.0 software.The 2 outcomes that the weighted mean difference(WMD) of change from baseline in International RLS Study Group rating scale(IRLS) score and the relative risk (RR) of response based on the Clinical Global Impression-Improvement (CGI-I) scale score were calculated for efficacy.Safety was assessed with RR of the adverse event (AE).Results A total of 5 clinical trials were included in this meta-analysis,of which 1776 patients were randomly assigned (945 on pramipexole,831 on placebo).The records of patients were pooled.Overall WMD were - 6.34 ( Z =12.76,P ＜ 0.01 ) for the change from baseline in IRLS score,and RR of response based on CGI-I were 1.65 (Z =10.39,P ＜0.01).The overall RR of pramipexole versus placebo were 1.14 ( Z =1.87,P =0.06 ) for AE.Conclusion To treat RLS,pramipexole is an effective and safe drug.
