Objective:To research the effect of the media on women's body image. Methods:The subjects were all from 2 colleges. The subjects of experiment 1 were 63 high and low trait social comparison female students.Among them, high trait social comparison subjects were 31 in the model image group,30 in the product image group.Low trait social comparison subjects were 30 in the model image group,32 were in the product image group. The subjects of experiment 2 were the total of 61 high trait social comparison female students.Among them,30 subjects were analyzed by similarity comparison, and 31 subjects received difference comparison. The instruments included advertisement pictures, body image states scale, the physical apperance comparion scale, and the consumer response questionnaire. Results:Analysis of variance showed that,in the model image level, the score of body image scale in high social comparison group was significantly higher than that in low social comparison group [(5.54±1.05)vs.(4.73±0.92),P<0.001].Regression analysis further showed that social comparison was moderator(ΔR~2= 0.035,P<0.01).For social comparisons mode, score of body image scale in difference comparison group was higher than that in similarity comparison group [(5.55±0.82)vs.(4.56±0.86),P<0.05].Conclusion:These findings suggested that social comparison can be used to prevent female college students' negative body images.

Objective To investigate the infection sites, the offending species, diagnosis and prognosis of deep fungal infections (DFI) in patients with systemic lupus erythcmatosus (SLE).Methods Fifty-one patients with fungal infections in 1466 SLE patients admitted to Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) Hospital from 2000 to 2006 were reviewed retrospectively. Results Candida albicans was ranked the first pathogen, followed by ncoformans and Aspergillus species. The infection sites were lungs, cerebral meninges and blood in the order of prevalence. The overall mortality was 20%(10/51).Aspergillasis carried the highest mortality which couht be as high as 80%.Hypoproteinemia,multiple focus of fungal infections,Aspergillasis and fungemia might he the independent risk factor for mortality. Conclusion Candida albicans is the most frequent species of fungal infections in SLE patients.Iungs are the most prevalent location of infection.Earlier diagnosis is important.Special attention should be paid to aspergillasis.

Objective To evaluate the value of Multi-slice spiral CT angiography for spinal cord vessels. Methods 11 adult subjects with suspected of myelopathy were performed with Multi-slice spiral CT angiography,An iodine contrast agent was injected at 3.5 ml/s,for total 100 ml.The parameters were axial 16 slice mode,0.625 mm slice thickness,0.8 s rotation, delay time depending on smartprep (15—25 s), multi-phase scan. The coronal and sagittal MPR and SSD were generated on a workstation compared with spinal digital subtraction angiography (DSA) to analyze normal or abnormal spinal cord vessels. Results Normal findings at spinal CTA and digital subtraction angiography in six adult normal subjects and spinal cord vascular malformations( 1 intradural extramedullary AVF,4 dural AVFs) in five cases,Recognizable intradural vessels corresponding to anterior median (midline) veins and/or anterior spinal arteries were show in six adult normal subjects.Abnormal intradural vessels were detected in all five spinal cord vascular malformation with CT angiography ,in comparison with digital subtraction angiography these vessels were primarily enlarged veins of the coronal venous plexus on the cord surface,radiculomedullary-dural arteries could not be clearly shown in four dural AVF,only one anterior spinal artery was detected in one patient with intradural medullary AVF,which direct shunt between anterior spinal artery and perimedullary vein with tortuous draining vessel. Conclusion Multi-slice CT angiography is able to visualize the normal or abnormal spinal cord vessels. It could be used as a noninvasive method to screen the spinal cord vascular disease.

Objective To introduce the therapeutic measure of preventing the first web contracture after hand crush injury in early stage. Methods Three types were divided according to the traumatic condition in 57 cases: closed injury, open injury and with blood vessel of thumb or fingers injury, and used different method such as closing injury postpone, opening the first web by kischner wire or mini-external fixation splint and covered by local or island flap to cure each type in primary and early stage, after 6 months, measured the width and angle of the first web. Results Forty-one cases were followed-up after 3 months - 2 years, abduction and opposition of the thumbs were fine, the average of width and angle of the first web were (5.89 ± 0.58)cm and (87.85 ± 6.03)°. Conclusion The key points of preventing the first web contracture after crush injury are opening the first web that being covered by local flap and to use splint in primary stage.

The study established an HPLC-MS/MS method for determining the concentrations of sodium cromoglycate in human plasma and evaluated the pharmacokinetics of nasal drops and nasal spray. A C18 column was used to separate sodium cromoglycate in plasma with a mobile phase of a mixture of ammonium-methanol (involves 50% acetonitrile) (15:85) at a flow rate of 0.4 mL x min(-1). Electronic spray ionization (ESI) and multiple-reaction monitoring (MRM) were used for the determination of sodium cromoglycate in human plasma. The linear range of the standard curve of sodium cromoglycate was from 0.3 to 20 ng x mL(-1), and the minimum concentration of detection was 0.3 ng x mL(-1). The extraction recovery was more than 94.1%, intra-day and inter-day RSD were less than 14.3%. After a single dose of sodium cromoglycate, the main pharmacokinetic parameters of nasal spray and nasal drops were as follows, T(1/2)(1.82 +/- 0.54) h, (1.59 +/- 0.52) h; Tmax (0.47 +/- 0.12) h, (0.44 +/- 0.15) h; Cmax, (9.79 +/- 4.66) ng x mL(-1), (10.88 +/- 4.05) ng x mL(-1); AUC(0-5 h)(11.52 +/- 3.46) ng x mL(-1) x h x h, (12.63 +/- 4.23) ng x mL(-1) x h, Fr(93.6 +/- 13.8)%. The method is sensitive, rapid and accurate. It is suitable for therapeutic drug monitoring and human pharmacokinetic study of sodium cromoglycate.
