Traumatic optic nerve injury ( TON) is caused by direct or indirect optic nerve trauma, which is one of a serious complication of craniocerebral trauma. lts prognosis poor and usually bring permanent vision damage. At present, optic nerve injury and regeneration is hot in neurobiology research. To build an ideal experimental animal model is extremely important in research and development in the treatment of optic nerve injury. ln this article, we review the methods of making rat models of traumatic optic neuropathy, clinical similarities, advantages and disadvantages of among these models, to provide reference for more experimental study.

Objective To explore the early diagnosis of Alport′s syndrome(AS).Methods Renal and skin biopsy was carried out in 5 patients who manifested with isolated hematuria and nephritic syndrome(NS).By using indirect immunofluorescence method,the expression of type Ⅳ collagen ? chains was detected on epidermal basement membrane(EBM) and glomerular basement membrane(GBM).Results ?_1 chains on EBM and GBM were expression in all patients,but ?_5 chains on EBM and ?_3,?_5 chains on GBM form 2 female patients were segmental expression.Thus the goal for early diagnosis was achieved.Conclusions ? chains for EBM type Ⅳ collagen and GBM type Ⅳ collegan should be investigated if condition permits for those patients with isolated hematuria,NS(steroid-resistant) and thinned GBM in electron microscopy.It can be useful for diagnosis and differenial diagnosis of AS.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Shen warming Pi strengthening method on expressions of serum T cell subsets (C045+%, C03+%, and C04 +/COB+) in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-0) rats. Methods An IBS-0 rat model was established referring to AL-Chaer's modeling method combined with tail clamp and intragastric administration of sanna leaf. After modeling 30 SO rats were randomly divided into 6 groups according to random digit table, i.e., the model group, the high, middle, low dose Wenshen Jianpi Recipe (WJR) groups, and the Sishen Pill control group, 6 in each group. A normal control group consisting of 6 SO rats were also set up. Rats in high, middle, low dose WJ R groups were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free WJ R at the daily dose of 3. 100, 1. 550, 0. 775 g/kg, respectively. Rats in the Sis hen Pill control group were administered by gastrogavage with boil-free Sis hen Pill at the daily dose of 0. 736 g/kg. Equal volume of normal saline was given by gastrogavage to rats in the model group and the normal control group. All medication lasted for 2 successive weeks. Rats' general state, expressions of T cell subsets (CD45+%, CD3+%, and CD4+ /CDB+) changes were observed.

RESULTSCompared with the normal control group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% increased, but CD4+ /CDB+ decreased with statistical difference (P < 0. 05). Compared with the model group, expressions of CD45+% and CD3+% decreased, but CD4+ ICDB+ increased with statistical difference in high, middle, low dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group (P <0. 05). Compared with the Sis hen Pill control group, there was statistical difference in all indices except CD45+ value in the low dose SWPSM group (P <0. 05). Compared with the low dose WJ R group, the expression of CD3+% decreased in high and middle dose WJR groups, and the Sis hen Pill control group; CD4+ /CD8+ increased in the Sishen Pill control group and the high dose SWPSM group (all P < 0. 05).

CONCLUSIONSWJR showed better treatment effect. The mechanism of Shen warming Pi strengthening method might be achieved by regulating expressions of CD45+% and CD3+%, and CD4+ /CD8+ ratios.

This study aims to construct a dynamic two-dimensional characterization technique for the hygroscopicity of traditional Chinese medicine extracts and investigate the effect of material properties of powders on hygroscopicity. The dynamic hygroscopicity-time curves of the powders were measured at 25 ℃ and 75% humidity, and the semi-equilibrium hygroscopicity time (t_1/2) and equilibrium hygroscopicity (F^∞) were derived as two-dimensional evaluation indicators. Finally, the correlation between the material properties and the hygroscopic behavior was analyzed by principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares analysis (PLS). The results showed that the dynamic two-dimensional characterization system of hygroscopicity constructed with 1/t_1/2 = 0.1 h^-1 and F^∞ = 15% as the center can classify the hygroscopic behavior of traditional Chinese medicine extracts into four categories: fast hygroscopicity with strong hygroscopicity, slow hygroscopicity with strong hygroscopicity, fast hygroscopicity with weak hygroscopicity and slow hygroscopicity with weak hygroscopicity. The moisture absorption was negatively correlated with D₅₀, D₉₀, ρ_b and ρ_t; the moisture absorption rate was negatively correlated with D₁₀, D₅₀, D₉₀, ρ_b, ρ_t, and positively correlated with moisture content. The hygroscopicity dynamic two-dimensional characterization indicators of Chinese medicine extracts (CMEs) constructed in this study matched with the physical properties. The method of dynamic multi-dimensional characterization technology is feasible and scientific, and the idea has strong promotional value.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of arsenic trioxide (ATO) on the autoimmunity and survival time in BXSB lupus mice.

METHODSThe model BXSB lupus mice were randomly divided into two groups equally, the ATO treated group and the control group, 17 in each group. Mice in the ATO group were given intraperitoneal injection of ATO at the daily dose of 0.4 mg/kg, once every other day for 105 days or 90 days, respectively, and the observation lasted for 210 days. The survival time between the two groups was compared; the serum levels of anti-dsDNA and IgG were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) mRNA expression in renal and spleen tissue were measured by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technique.

RESULTSTill the 210th day, the total number of death was 8 in the ATO treated group and 13 in the control group, comparison between the two groups showed significantly different (chi2 = 4.20, P < 0.05). The mean OD value of serum anti-dsDNA antibody was lower in the ATO group (0.392 +/- 0.087) than that in the control group (0.566 +/- 0.080, P < 0.001). The serum level of IgG on day 105 in the ATO group was significantly lower than that in the control group and before treatment (P < 0.05). The expression of IFN-gamma mRNA in spleen tissue and renal tissue in the ATO group and the control group was 0.540 +/- 0.300 and 0.338 +/- 0.163, 2.320 +/- 0.522 and 0.588 +/- 0.104 (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01 respectively).

CONCLUSIONATO can prolong the survival time of BXSB lupus mice, decrease the peripheral level of anti-dsDNA antibody and IgG expression, inhibit the over-expression of IFN-gamma mRNA in spleen and kidney tissues.

OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy and safety of docetaxol, pemetrexed and EGFR-TKIs in the second-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.

METHODSThe clinical data of 170 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who failed standard first-line chemotherapy were reviewed. Those who received docetaxol as second-line therapy were designated as group A (n = 60), those who received pemetrexed as second-line therapy were designated as group B (n = 49), and those who received EGFR-TKIs as second-line therapy were designated as group C (n = 61). PFS and MST were estimated by Kaplan-Meier method and the differences between groups were compared by log-rank test.

RESULTSThe response rate in the groups A, B and C group was 15.0% (9/60), 24.5% (12/49) and 36.1% (22/61), respectively. The PFS after second-line therapy in the groups A, B and C was 5.49 months (95%CI: 4.03 - 6.95 months), 5.42 months (95%CI: 4.23 - 6.60 months) and 9.31 months (95%CI: 6.88 - 11.73 months), respectively (P = 0.045). The MST after second-line therapy in the groups A, B and C was 14.89 months (95%CI: 11.23 - 18.55 months), 15.81 months (95%CI: 12.11 - 19.52 months) and 17.47 months (95%CI: 13.38 - 21.56 months), respectively (P = 0.574). Regression analysis showed that the performance status score (PS) and response for second-line treatment are independent prognostic factors in each sub-group, and pathological type is an independent prognostic factor in the group C (P = 0.003).

CONCLUSIONSThe safety of the three drugs used as second-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer, who failed standard first-line chemotherapy, is comparable, but the EGFR-TKIs group has the highest response rate, and the EGFR-TKIs group has the longest PFS with a statistically significant difference, while there is no significant difference in MST among the three groups. When patients receive second-line treatment, the performance status < 2 and the response rate for second-line treatment are independent prognostic factors. Furthermore, pathological type (adenocarcinoma) is also an independent prognostic factor for EGFR-TKIs as second-line treatment.

Objective To study the relationship of clinical manifestation and pathological changes and prognosis in Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis(HSPN)in children.Methods Clinical and pathological characteristics of 42 children with HSPN were analysed.Among them,40 children were detected of angiotensin-convertion enzyme(ACE)gene and had been followed up.Results Among them,there were 9 cases of level Ⅰof pathological types,21 cases of level Ⅱ,12 cases of level Ⅲ,but no cases of level Ⅳ.Ⅰand Ⅱ level were found in those cases of clinical manifestation with solitary hematuria and albuminuria.Pathological grades were Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ levels in the cases of hematuria and albuminuria.Pathological types of nephrotic syndrome(NS)were Ⅱ and Ⅲ level,which were of more gross hematuria than those of other grades.ACE gene DD had serious pathological damnification.Conclusions Change of pathology cannot only be anticipated by clinical manifestation of HSPN.But if pathological damnification gets more serious,the albuminuria gets more serious.Gross hematuria and albuminuria can serve as indicators of biopsy.NS of ACE DD type have serious pathological damnification.Children with HSPN has favourable prognosis in the future.

Stress cardiomyopathy is an atypical myocardial disease induced by emotional or physical stress, with the characteristic of left ventricular systolic dysfunction, transient imaging and electrocardiogram (ECG) changes. Sudden cardiac death can occur in severe cases. Clinical symptoms are likely to appear on acute myocardial infarction, but the exact pathological mechanism is unclear. In the present study, we perform a systematic review of the literature on the clinical manifestations, epidemiological characteristics, ECG, imaging and laboratory tests of stress cardiomyopathy, in order to provide the values for forensic pathology diagnosis.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the effect of nutrition package on the nutritional status and prevalence of children in rural areas of Hainan Province, and provide scientific basis and suggestions for further improving the nutritional and health status of children in this region. Methods　Four cities and counties were randomly selected as the intervention group, and four cities and counties matched with the intervention group in terms of population, economy, social culture, maternal and child health work foundation of township health centers, physical nutrition and health status were selected as the control group.With the combination of monitoring and prospective cohort study, infants in the intervention group and the control group were studied from June 1, 2020, and they were intervened for 12 months with supplementary food nutrition package. Before and after intervention, the nutrition and health status of infants aged 6-24 months in the intervention group and the control group were investigated to evaluate the nutritional and health effects of supplementary food nutrition package for infants aged 6-24 months in rural Hainan Province. Results　A total of 999 infants were investigated, including 427 in the intervention group and 572 in the control group. After 12 months of nutritional intervention, there was no significant difference in weight-for-age Z-score (WAZ) and height-for-age Z-score (HAZ) and weight-for-height Z-score (WHZ) between the intervention group and the control group (P>0.05). The rate of emaciation of the intervention group was 1.64%, which was significantly lower than 3.67% of the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the rate of growth retardation (2.81% and 3.32%, respectively) and underweight (0.47% and 1.92%, respectively) between the intervention group and the control group (P>0.05). The rate of respiratory infection and diarrhea in the intervention group were 9.13% and 1.17%, which were significantly lower than corresponding 23.25% and 3.15% in the control group (P<0.05). The hemoglobin of the intervention group and the control group were 117.24 g/L and 114.51 g/L respectively, and the rates of anemia were 11.11% and 22.84% respectively, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions　The intervention of nutrition package in rural areas of Hainan Province has achieved the expected results, and supplementary food nutrition package has reduced the incidence of malnutrition and respiratory infection and diarrhea in recent two weeks in infants and anemia to a certain extent. We should attach great importance to the supplementary nutrition package for right-age children and promote the growth and health of children in rural areas through supplementary nutrition package, and continuously improve the nutrition and health level of children in Hainan Province.
