The paper is about the systematic studies of biological characteristics of 15 stains rhizobia isolated purified from Acacia confusa grew in Guangxi karst environment. The results showed that there were typical characteristics of rhizobia.there were negative reaction about use of 3-ketolactose and beef extract peptone nutrient agar medium, and positive reaction about use of starch and citrate medium, and produce acid in reaction of BTB and litmus milk medium,(NH4)2HPO4 was used as nitrogen sources and both four monosaccharides and three disaccharides could be utilized as carbon sources in 15 strains rhizobia isolated Acacia confuse.Among the 15 strains for the tests,11 strains could deoxidize the nitrate of medium into nitrite,14 strains could grow well on NaCl solution concentration 3.0 %~4.0 %,14 strains could grow at 39℃,13 strains may grow on highest pH12 and 4 strains on lowest pH4 cultrue medium.15 strains can grow in 10% and 11 strains in 10%~30% of CaCO3 solution concentration.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of segmental hepatectomy for intrahepatic bile duct stones. Methods In this study, 414 patients suffering from intrahepatic bile duct stones underwent hepatectomy from Jan 1981 to Dec 2001. Stones distribution, operation modality, postoperative complication and therapeutic effect were evaluated. Results Postoperative complications occurred in 72 cases(17.4%), mortality was 0.7%. A follow up of 2 to 22 years was achieved in 305 patients (73.7%), with excellent or good result in 88.9%, residual stone in 15.7%,and stone recurrence in 4.6%.Conclusion Appropriate use of hepatectomy is effective for the treatment of intrahepatic bile duct stones.

Diabetic retinopathy is a series of typical pathological changes in retinal microvasculature caused by diabetes, which seriously affects the visual acuity and quality of life of patients. The development of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography provides a new approach to elucidate the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy, and this paper will give a brief review on the latest progress in the relationship between choroidal thickness measured by optical coherence tomography and diagnosis-treatment of diabetic retinopathy.

Objective:To search the release in vitro of new MU-AN ophthalmic gel consist of ganciclovir instead of aciclovir is whether better than the Old. Methods:Using the content of ganciclovir and acyclovir as the index, taking the second oar method ( in Ch. P 2010), drug release in vitro test was investigated. Results:The character of drug release of new MU-AN ophthalmic gel was e-qual to the old, the rate of drug release was similar, The amount of drug release was the same. Both drugs met the requirements of clin-ical medication. The character corneal permeability of new MU-AN ophthalmic gel was better than the old. Gel matrix had no influ-ences on drug release, drug would be bring treatment effect after the way that it was released quickly then was dissolved in tear. Con-clusion:The drug release characteristics consistent with ophthalmic preparation requirements. The character of drug release of new MU-AN ophthalmic gel consist of ganciclovir instead of aciclovir is equal to the old, the time administer drug and interval time is gener-ally scientific, reasonable and feasible, providing the basis for the pharmacodynamics , toxicology and clinical study in the next step.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of double balloon endoscopy (DBE) in the elderly. Methods Clinical manifestations and endoscopic findings of 42 elderly patients (aged 60-80 years) and 73 young and middle-aged patients (aged 12-59 years) with small bowel lesions were obtained and compared. Factors influencing the diagnostic outcome of DBE in patients with small bowel bleeding were identified, and the optimal check time after the latest bleeding was determined. Results The procedures of 85.7% (36/42) in the elderly and 79.5%(58/73) in young and middle aged were completed (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the procedure time between the two age groups. No severe complications were observed in the elderly group. The overall positive rate by double balloon enteroscopy examination were 71.4 % (30/42) and 63.0 % (46/73),respectively in the two groups (P> 0.05). Ulcer and tumor lesions were the most common findings, and diverticula and angiodysplasia were the second common findings. Longer duration of bleeding and higher number of bleeding episodes were found in the elderly with positive DBE findings than those with negative findings. Positive diagnostic rate was significantly higher when DBE was performed within 7 days than that after 7 days (90% vs. 40%). Conclusions DBE is a safe, reliable diagnostic modality, especially in the elderly patients with small bowel bleeding in which ulcer and tumor lesions are the most common identifications.DBE is of greater benefit in patients with more bleeding episodes over a long period, and should be performed within 7 days after the last bleeding.

OBJECTIVETo determine the content of 7 anthraquinones in Semen Cassiae.
METHODA HPLC method was developed, with Inertsil ODS-3 column, acetonitrile and 0.1% H3PO4 solution as mobile phases in gradient elution. The detection wavelength wasset at 278 nm, and the flow rate was 0.8 mL x min(-1).
RESULTRecoveries of all 7 anthraquinones were between 95%-105%. The content of the anthraquinones in crude drug produced in different habitation were different.
CONCLUSIONThe method is convenient and accurate, which provides the foundation for the research of Semen Cassiae.

Chinese Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology 2018;32(4):309-309
OBJECTIVE Bergapten (BG), is a furanocoumarin derived from herbal and citrus extracts can act as antioxidant and selective anticancer agents. The current study aimed to investigate whether bergapten would attenuate immunosenescence and to exploreits immunomodulatory effects on immune responses in D-galactose-induced aging BALB/c mice.METHODS Firstly, mice were given D-galactose(180 mg·kg-1)subcutaneous injections for 30 d.To evaluate the establishment of the aging-related effect in mice, serum samples of BALB/c mice were collected from tail vein. Aging BALB/c mice were freely divided into three groups: negative control group received 1% Tween 80 solution only, named D-gal group. Positive groups were received BG administration at the dose of 20 and 100 mg·kg-1, named D-gal+BG(20)group and D-gal+BG(100)group,respectively.Effects of bergapten on T lympho-cyte proliferation and flow cytometry were assessed by using the splenic cell suspension. Enzyme linked immunospot kits were used to quantitatively determine interferon-γ(IFN-γ)and interleukin-4(IL-4) levels of the isolated serum. Immunophenotype was determined by using mixture of antibodies includ-ing anti-CD3,anti-CD4,and anti-CD8.RESULTS Bergapten(20 mg·kg-1)therapy can modulate immu-nity against viral epidemics and attenuate aging-induced immune deficiency(P<0.01),which was correlat-ed with the decline in the activation of the Th and Tc responses in D-galactose induced aging BALB/c mice.According to the in vivo results, bergapten exposure up-regulated the secretion of IFN-γ and IL-4 in T-helper 1(Th1)and T helper 2(Th2)cells(P<0.05,P<0.01).Additionally,BG(20 mg·kg-1)restored antigen-specific CD4+and CD8+T cells in aging models (P<0.05, P<0.01), which may help to curing chronic infections. CONCLUSION The beneficial effect of bergapten in D-galactose induced aging BALB/c mice may be due to the Th and Tc responses activation.
