Objective To explore the oxidative stress pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease(PD) induced by paraquat in substantia nigra of mice. Methods The model of PD was established by oral administration of paraquat to mice.The spectrophotometry was used to determine the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX) and the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) in substantia nigra.At the same time,number of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) positive neurons in substantia nigra of mice was estimated by immunohistochemistry. Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of patients co-infected with hepatitis B virus(HBV)and hepatitis C virus(HCV)and to study the underlying interaction between HBV and HCV in these patients.Methods The liver biopsy and sera samples of 226 patients with chronic hepatitis were collected.Real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction were used tO measure HBV DNA and HCV RNA,respectively.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)was utilized to detect HBV serological marker and anti-HCV antibody.Liver biopsy examination was performed through needle aspiration.HBsAg and HBcAg in liver tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry,while HBV DNA and HCV RNA were detected by in situ hybridization.Results Sixty two point five percent patients co-infected with HBV and HCV suffered from severe hepatitis,while the rates of those infected with HBV or HCV alone were 27.1%and 30.6%,respectively(X2=14.70,P＜0.01).The serum alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin.direct bilirubin and albumin levels of patients infected with HBV alone were higher than those of patients co-infected with HBV and HCV or those infected with HCV alone,which showed statistically significant difference(X2=8.52.P＜0.05).The HBsAg titers in serum samples and in liver tissue samples were inconsistent in both co-infected patients and HCV mono infected patients (X2=15.60,P＜0.01).The HBV DNA positive rate of co-infected patients was 12.5%,which was lower than that of patients infected with HBV alone(87.7%,X2=17.66,P＜0.01).Meanwhile,the HCV RNA positive rate of patients co-infected with HBV and HCV was 75.0%,which was lower than that of patients infected with HCV alone(80.6%).However,the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Co-infection with HBV and HCV may induce severer liver injury than HBV infection or HCV infection alone.

Objective To analyse the relationship between lymphatic vessels invasion and clinical pathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma ( PTC ) .Methods The expressions of D2-40 and CK19 were examined in the 104 specimens of PTC using immunohistochemical staining with combined monoclonal antibodies and cocktail double enzyme labeled antibody( D2-40/CK19) stainings.The two methods were compared in the diagnosis of PTC metastasis, and the factors affecting lymphatic vessels formation were analyzed.Results The positive rate of lymphatic vessels invasion was 37.5%(39/104) by using immunohistochemical staining with combined monoclonal antibodies and 53.8%( 56/104 ) by cocktail double enzyme labeled antibody ( D2-40/CK19 ) staining ( P<0.05).The lymph node metastasis rate was 83.9%(47/56) in the group with lymphatic vessels invasion, significantly higher than that without invasion 22.9%(11/48, P<0.01).The age of patients, diameter of primary tumor were the influence factors of lymphatic vessels invasion in PTC patients(P<0.05 and P=0.063).Conclusion Cocktail double enzyme labeled antibody ( D2-40/CK19 ) staining is a better method to detect lymphatic vessels invasion in PTC than immunohistochemical staining with combined monoclonal antibodies.

[A BSTR ACT] OB J ECTI V E To i mprove the recognization of clinical, imaging and pathological characteristics of angioleiomyoma (ALM) in the head and neck region. METHODS We retrospectively reviewed the data of 20 patients with ALM in the head and neck region between 2000 and 2012. RESULTS Seven male and 13 female patients were included in this study. The average age was 52.5 (from 28 to 74 years). The symptom in most cases (n=14) was the painless mass, 4 tumors originating in the nasal cavity presented with nasal obstruction or (and) epistaxis, and the other 3 cases were accidentally found by physical examination. The results of B-ultrasonography in 10 ALM cases of subcutaneous or deep space were homogeneously hypoechoic echo texture, straight and linear vessels in the tumor with convergence to one point with a circumscribed margin. MRI in 5 cases demonstrated typically a well-defined mass, which showed hypointensity or isointensity to muscle on T1WI, and heterogeneous hyperintensity on T2WI. All lesions showed obviously delayed enhancement on contrast MRI. HE stain showed that the tumors were formed by bundles of spindle-shape smooth muscle cells circumscribing numerous slit-like blood vessels in most cases. Immunoperoxidase staining revealed that the tumor cells were strongly positive for calponin, desmin and smooth muscle actin (SMA) in the cytoplasm of the smooth muscle cells. The positive expression of progestogen receptor and estrogen receptor was seen in 7 cases and 4 cases respectively among 10 cases. All patients underwent surgery, and recovered well postoperatively without recurrence or malignancy. CONCLUSION The clinical manifestations of ALM are nonspecific. ALM has distinctive imaging features in B-ultrasonic and MRI examination. Histological examination and immunoperoxidase staining can make a definite diagnosis of the disease. Progestogen receptor and estrogen receptor can be expressed in ALM. The postoperative prognosis is good.

Objective To observe the effect of continued nursing on the long-term nasal feeding to elderly patients after discharge.Methods Toally 60 elderly discharged patients between January 2014 to December 2014 were evenly divided into observation and control groups with radom digit table the control group received routine nursing before discharge and after it and the observation group received continued nursing.The two groups were compared in terms of nasal feeding-induced complication,nursing satisfaction,care capability of patients' caregivers.Result The complication rate in the observation group was significantly lower,the nursing satisfaction was significantly higher and the care capability of caregivers were significantly better as compared to those of the control group (P ＜0.05).Conclusion Continued nursing can improve nursing satisfaction,train the care capacity of caregivers,reduce the complications for the old patients who need long-term nasal feeding after discharge.

Objective To construct the serine protease gene(sprE)mutant and to study the pathogenicity of sprE gene of Enterococcus faecalis.Methods Recombinant suicide vector pCQ001 of Enterococcus faecalis with pTX4577,was constructed.Then,created isogenic sprE-deficient mu- tant(*sprE)by allelic replacement was constructed.Moreover,the growth ability and the virulence of the mutant were compared with those of the wide type in vitro and in vivo respectively.A mouse peritonitis model and a rabbit endocarditis model were utilized in the study.Results The *sprE was selected by kanamycin and identified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR),pulsed field gel electropho- resis(PFGE)and Southern blot.The evidences showed that the sprE gene had a major role in helping bacteria to resist the elevated temperature and oxidative stress.The virulence of mutant decreased af- ter sprE gene was knocked out.Conclusions The *sprE of Enterococcus faecalis is constructed suc- cessfully,sprE gene is important in the pathogenesis of Enterococcus faecalis,which probably is a major virulence factor of Enterococcus faecali.

Objective: To study the effect of Tianshu Capsule on the rat dura mater model of superior sagittal sinusin following electrical stimulation and discuss its mechanism. Methods: Male SD rats after brain electrode implantation were started on Tianshu Capsule at the doses of 1.08, 0.36, and 0.18 g/kg. Sumatriptanm Tablets at the dose of 9.72 mg/kg were ig given as a positive drug. Except control and Sham groups, the electrical stimulation was carried out in a voltage of 10 V, frequency of 3 Hz, pulse width of 0.25 ms, and time of 1 h. No operation was taken in the control group. The orbital blood was taken after 0, 30, and 60 min of the stimulation than taking brain tissue. The contents of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), substance P, and norepinephrine (NE) in plasma and brain tissue were detected by radio immunoassay. Results: Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference of CGRP, substance P, and NE contents in brain tissue of rats in the Sham group. Compared with the Sham group, CGRP in the brain tissue of rats in normal group was increased obviously, while substance P and NE levels were significantly decreased (P < 0.05). Comapred with the model group, the Tianshu Capsule could increase the content of NE in plasma and brain tissue (P < 0.05) while decrease CGRP level (P < 0.05). And Sumatriptanm Tablets could reduce the content of CGRP in plasma (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The Tianshu Capsule could significantly improve the damage of rat dura mater of superior sagittal sinusin following electrical stimulation by releasing neurotransmitter, which may be the mechanisms of migraine treatment.

Aim To study clinical efficacy of valsartan,in comparison with amlodipine, in hypertentive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy. Methods 65 hypertentive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy is divided into two groups, with 33 cases in valsartan group and 32 cases in amlodipine group Valsartan 80～160mg and amlodipine 5～ 10 mg were taken by the patients in the two groups for 6 months respectively. 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring ( 24 h ABPM) and color echocardiography were performed in the two groups before and after treatment. Results The parameters of 24 h ABPM ( 24 h SBP? 24 h DBP?dSBP?dDBP?nSBP?nDBP) and color echocardiography (IVST?PWT?LVMI)after treatment in the two groups were significant decreased compared with those before treatment respectively (P0.05). Conclusion Valsartan can lower significantly the blood pressure level and make left ventricular hypertrophy remarkably dispelled in hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy and has the effect similar to that of amlodipine.

Objective:To investigate the immune response after injecting polysaccharide nucleic acid of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin(BCG-PSN)under the mucous membrane of bladder in rabbits and to search for the most suitable dose of BCG-PSN.Methods:The rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups:high dose(0.35 mg/ml)BCG-PSN group,mid- dle dose(0.175 mg/ml)BCG-PSN group,low dose(0.0875 mg/ml)BCG-PSN group,BCG(0.35 mg/ml)control group and BCG-PSN(0.35 mg/ml)intra-bladder perfusion control group.T lymphocyte subsets(CD4~+,CD8~+)in the peripheral blood were determined by flow cytometry before and 1 week,2 weeks,1 month and 3 months after the treatment; the levels of IL-2,TNF-?,and IFN-?of peripheral blood were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay;H-E and Masson staining was used for the pathological examination of the bladder.Results:(1)BCG-PSN injection increased the number of CD4~+ and CD8~+ T lymphocytes in a time- and dose-dependent manner,with the peak numbers appeared 2 weeks after BCG-PSN injection;the numbers restored to the normal levels 3 months after BCG-PSN injection.BCG control group had a similar changing pattern to the BCG-PSN injection group.The number of CD4~+ T cells BCG-PSN perfusion group was significantly lower than that in the high-dose BCG-PSN injection group(P
