Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Pseudorabies is an important infectious disease for many kinds of livestock and wild animals, and causes important economics losses for pig industry. Many kinds of vaccines including attenuated live viruses or inactivated are widely used for vaccination of pigs and other animals. In the present review, research advances on pseudorabies new-type vaccines such as subunit vaccine, DNA vaccine, recombination vaccine, deletion-mutant vaccine is presented and point out the further development of the vaccine.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(9):844-846
Background At present, researches about retinitis and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) mainly focus on observation and analysis of the cytomegalovirus (CMV)-induced ocular complication. To screen the effective drugs is very important for the treatment of AIDS-related CMV-induced retinitis. Objective This study was to describe the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment outcome of CMV-induced retinitis with BAY 38-4766 and evaluate the relationship between CMV retinitis and AIDS.Methods This was a case observational study.A total of 154 eyes of 84 patients with CMV retinitis and AIDS were enrolled in this study. Before the definitive diagnosis of CMV retinitis, the AIDS course of these patients were 4-26 months. In the initial examination, the visual acuity ranged from finger counting to 0.4,and the number of CD4+ T-lymphocyte was 0-30 cells/μl.The survival time in the patients ranged from 3 weeks to 18 months.BAY 38-4766 was used in 117 eyes of 62 patients, and 102 eyes of 53 patients showed the srinked of retinal lesion and improvement of vision (0.1-0.7).BAY 38-4766 was used to treat the CMV retinitis in 117 eyes of 62 patients with the initial intravenous dose of 5 mg/kg,twice per day for consecutive 2 weeks and followed by oral dose 1 gram per day.The follow-up duration was 2 weeks to 18 months. The fundus feature, visual acuity and CD4+ T-lymphocyte counts were analyzed. This study proposal was approved by Ethic Committee of the 474th Hospital of PLA,and written informed consent was obtained from each patient prior to entering this study. Results The numbers of CD4+T-lymphocytes increased to 12-402 eells/μl after administration of BAY 38-4766.The CMV retinitis aggravated and the vision decreased in the untreated 22 patients with the CD4+T-lymphocytes 0-30 cells/μl.Conclusions CMV retinitis is the most common intraocular complication in patients with AIDS.Diagnosis of CMV retinitis is based on the characteristics of necrotizing retinitis, which is typically associated with retinal hemorrhage and vasculitis.BAY 38-4766 is an effective drug for the treatment of CMV retinitis.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2014;32(3):288-291
OBJECTIVETo investigate the correlation between Angle's class III patients' occlusion plane and anterior overbite by controlling the changes in occlusion plane during orthodontic treatment.
METHODSIn total, 90 Angle's class III adult orthodontic patients were selected as the experimental group, and 30 normal adults were selected as the control group. According to the overbite, the class III patients were divided into three groups, and 14 indicators were measured. ANOVA and multiple comparison analysis were used to analyze the difference between class III patients, and linear analysis was used to analyze the correlation between anterior overbite and anterior-posterior occlusion plane.
RESULTSIn class Ill patients, posterior occlusion plane and anterior overbite size were negatively correlated (r = -0.24, P < 0.05), whereas anterior occlusal plane and anterior overbite size were positive correlated (r = 0.23, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe shape of the occlusion plane varies in different anterior overbite patients. During orthodontic treatment in different overbite class III patients, the vertical height of the posterior teeth and the rotation of the occlusion plane should be controlled.

AIM: To study the changes in anterior chamber angle after phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation with ultrasound biomicroscopy.METHODS: Small-incision phacoemulsification and foldable IOL implantation were performed in 50 eyes of 46 senior patients, and the changes of anterior chamber angle were determined quantitatively by using ultrasound biomicroscopy before and one month after the surgery.RESULTS: In all patients, the angle was widened significantly one month after the surgery (P<0.01). The measurements of TIA500 ( trabecular-iris angle at 500μm from the scleral spur) , AOD250 (angle-opening distance at 250μm from the scleral spur) and AOD500 (angle-opening distance at 500μm from the scleral spur) increased significantly after the operation ( P< 0.01). The mean post/pre-operative TIA500ratio, AOD250 ratio and AOD500 ratio were 1.65 (1.12-4.91),1.81 (1.06-2.67) and 1.65 (1.01-2.76), respectively. A significant negative correlation existed between preoperative and postoperative data.CONCLUSION: Small-incision cataract surgery deepens the anterior chamber and widens anterior chamber angle significantly in senior patients. The narrower the preoperative angle, the higher ratio of post/preoperative ratio found.

Objective The study aimed to compare the vector system with the hand instrument in the pain severity during scaling and root planning. Methods 60 periodontal patients were randomly divided into two groups for supportive periodontal therapy (SPT):the experimental group (using vector system) and the control group (using gracey instruments),with 30 cases in each group. And the painfulness after SPT was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS).Results 66% patients felt mild pain during the supportive periodontal therapy with the application of vector system, while 36% patients felt mild pain in the control group.24 patients in the experimental group accepted vector system for SPT and 23 patients in the experimental group felt less fear of the treatment. Conclusions Patients will feel less discomfort with the application of the vector system, therefore better compliance will be reached. And the cooperation of the doctors and nurses has great impact on the treatment effect.

Objective To study the relationship between arterial compliance and diastolic dysfunction in essential hypertensive patients. Methods Fifty-one treated hypertensive patients and 47 normotensive controls were enrolled.Arterial stiffness was assessed by vascular e-TRACKING technology of ultrosonic.Tissue Doppler echocardiography combined with conventional Doppler echocardiography was used for assessment of left ventricular diastolic function and peak late diastolic velocity of mitral flow. The ratio of E/A,Em/Am and E/Em were measured. Results Compared with normotensive controls, hypertensive patients have increased arterial sclerosis index(?) [(10.5?3.8) vs control(8.1?3.4),P
