Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(07):-
Objective:To observe the effect of chitosan on tumor. Methods: Experiments of antitumor in vitro and in vivo were adopted in tumor-bearing mice. Results: Experiment in vitro demonstrated that chitosan had some killing effects on S 180、EAC and H 22 tumor cells, but it did not have directly killing effect on human body liver cancer. Experiment demonstrated that rate of inhibitory tumor was 66.0% or so, and it markedly increased thymus and spleen weights of tumor-bearing mice (TBM), and markedly inhanced the transformation rate of lymphocytes, it had markedly protective effect on thymus and spleen weights and different antagonisfic effect on the decrease in WBC、 neutrophil cell and loss of body weight induced from 5-Fu. Conclusion: Chitosan had more intensive antitumous effect and immunologic function of tumor-bearing mice and antagonisfic effect on bone marrow and immunologic inhibition induced from 5-Fu.

AIM: To investigate the possible role of nuclear transcription factor kappa B (NF-?B), Bcl-2, Bax and caspase-3 in etodolac-induced apoptosis of liver tumor SMMC7721 cell line. METHODS: Cell apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry analysis with PI staining and DNA laddering. Expression of Bcl-2 and Bax protein was measured by Western blotting. Caspase-3 activity was evaluated by active caspase-3 apoptosis kit with flow cytometry. NF-?B activation was detected by ELISA-based TransAM~(TM) NF-?B p65/p50 kit. RESULTS: Etodolac, a selective COX-2 inhibitor, stimulated apoptosis in liver tumor SMMC7721 cell line significantly. Flow cytometry showed that the apoptotic rate was 16.3%?3.1%, 19.9%?3.6%, 22.9%?3.2%, 31.2%?3.3% with different concentrations of etodolac (0.25, 0.50, 1.0 or 2.0 mmol/L), while the apoptotic peak did not appear in the control group (0 mmol/L) (P

Objective To establish the quality standard of Fengshi Bitong Capsule. Methods Notopterygh Rhizoma,Angelicae Pubescentis, and Saposhnikoviae Radix were identified by thin layer chromatography(TLC).Aconitine limit test in this drug also carried out by TLC.The contents of Isoimperatorin in the Notopterygh Rhizoma were determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results The spots in the TLC were fairly clear and no interference was shown in the blank samples. The aconitine limited in conformity with the 《Chinese Pharmacopoeia》 2010.Isoimperatorin showed a good linear relationship within a range of 3.668 96-183.448 00 μg· mL-1(r=1).The average of recovery was 96.42%,RSD=2.64%,respectively.Conclusion The established methods are highly specific, stable and reproducible, which can be used as quality control of fengshi bitong capsule.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2006;30(3):184-223
The portable gastrointestinal wireless endoscope image receiver is developed and based on TMS320C6211 DSP. It can receive and demodulate the modulated signal which is transmitted from the camera-capsule, and then output the video signal. The synchronizing signals offered by SAA7114H are made best of and are used to design the time logic circuit. The fitful video signal can be collected under the control of the time logic circuit. The circuit can automatically get rid of useless blank data and only collect effective and good-quality video signals, and storage them in CF card. In addition, the image signal can be processed and compressed by DSP, and thus the data storage space and the data- analyzing time can be saved.

Objective To investigate the changes of esophageal intraluminal baseline impedance in patients with refluxesophagitis. Methods From December 2013 to August 2014,47 patients with reflux esophagitis and 17 healthy controls were enrolled. The patients with reflux esophagitis were graded according to Los Angeles classification (LA) grading standards. All subjects accepted 24 h multichannel intraluminal impedance (MII) pH examination, and the baseline value of impedance were measured.Independent sample t test was used to compare the difference in impedance between the two groups.Spearman rank correlation coefficient was performed to analyze the correlation between acid exposure time (AET) and the baseline impedance of patients with reflux esophagitis.Kruskal-Wallis test was used to compare the differences in baseline impedance of patients with different grades of reflux esophagitis. Results The impedance baseline value of reflux esophagitis group was (1 676.72±644.41) Ω,which was lower than that of healthy control group ((2 151.27± 322.05) Ω),and the difference was statistically significant (t =-3.883,P<0.01).The AET of esophagus was negatively correlated with the baseline impedance of the patients with reflux esophagitis (r=-0.530,P<0.01).The baseline impedance of patients with grade LA-A and grade LA-B reflux esophagitis were 1 823.62 Ω (1 515.38 52 Ω,2 208.38 Ω) and 1 771.81 Ω(1 304.75 52 Ω,2 080.50 Ω),respectively, and the difference was not statistically significant (Z=-0.630,P=0.529).The baseline impedance of patients with grade LA C/D reflux esophagitis was 300 Ω (300 Ω,500 Ω),which was obviously lower than those of patients with grade LA-A or grade LA-B (Z=-2.647 and-2.818,both P<0.017).Conclusion The baseline impedance of patients with reflux esophagitis is low and correlated with AET.

ObjectiveTo establish the time-resolved fluoroimmunoassay (TRFIA) method for the detection of serum galectin-3 and investigate the clinical value of serum galectin-3 for the diagnosis of pancreas cancer.MethodsMonoclonal anti-human galectin - 3 antibody and biotinylated polyclonal antibody were used to establish the sandwich TRFIA for detection of serum galectin-3.The optimal experimental condition was studied.Serum levels of galectin-3,CEA and CA19-9 in the patients with pancreatic cancer, benign pancreatic mass, pancreatitis, and healthy controls were measured. The diagnostic value of serum galectin-3,CEA and CA19-9 for pancreas cancer was studied.ResultsThe linearity of the TRFIA for detection of serum galectin3 tanged between 0 to 100 μg/L.The within-run CV and between-run CV were ≤6.45% and ≤8.68%,respectively,and the average recovery was 106.6%.The level of serum galectin-3 was 4.93 ( 0.85 ~ 23.80) μg/L in pancreatic cancer group, which were significantly higher than those in benign pancreatic mass [2.83 ( 2.17 ~ 4.06) μg/L ],pancreatitis [ 2.62 (0.55 ~ 9.76 ) μg/L ],and healthy controls group [ 1.88 ( 0.59 ~ 3.94) μg/L] (P <0.05).By using 3.77 μg/L as the cut-off point, the smsitivity, specificity for the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer was 75.5% and 90.9%.The levels of Gal 3 and CEA,CA19-9 was not correlated ( r =0.1321,P =0.3761 ; r =0.0920,P =0.5384).Combined determination of galactin-3 and CEA,CA19-9 levels could increase the diagnostic sensitivity to 92%.ConclusionsTRFIA method for the detection of galactin-3 is sensitive and stable.Galectin-3 could be a potentially novel serum tumor marker of pancreatic cancer.
