1. Nogo-B protein and gliomas
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(1):77-79
Glioma is a common tumor of the central nervous system. Tumor cells and tumor microvascular endothelial cells play a very important role in the development and progression of gliomas. Nogo protein is a kind of inhibitory protein in myelin sheaths of the central nervous system and an inhibitor of axonal regeneration in the central nervous system. This paper reviews the relationship between glioma cells and glioma microvascular endothelial cells.

Objective To explore the impact of burden, positive feelings, coping style and social support on caregivers' fatigue of dementia patients. Methods 190 caregivers of dementia patients were investigated by using the questionnaires of Caregivers Burden Inventory(CBI),Positive Aspects of Caregiving(PAC),Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ),Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) and Fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14).Results The caregivers' fatigue of dementia patients was positively correlated with burden(r=0.56,P<0.01),negative coping style(r=0.31,P <0.01),and negatively associated with positive feelings(r=-0.33,P <0.01),social support (r =-0.36,P < 0.01) and positive coping style (r---0.55,P < 0.01),respectively.Path analysis showed coping style and social support had direct impacts on fatigue; burden had a direct impact on fatigue, and also had an indirect influence on it through coping style or social support; fatigue might be decreased by positive feelings and increased by negative coping style. Conclusion To prevent and relieve the caregivers'fatigue of dementia patients, caregivers should be encouraged to take positive coping style and increase social support so as to reduce burden and increase positive feelings.

Objective To observe the features of cognitive function impairment in different locus of cerebral stroke and study the correlation between locus of cerebral stroke and cognitive function impairment. Methods Cognitive function was evaluated by Montreal cognitive assessment(MOCA) in 100 patients with stroke(63 cases of cerebral infarction,37 cases of cerebral hemorrhage). The locus of cerebral stroke in the 100 patients were including frontal lobe 15 cases, parietal lobe 15 cases, temporal lobe 12 cases, occipital lobe 8 cases, thalamus 14 cases, basal ganglia 20,cerebellum 8 cases and pons 8 cases.Correlation between the locus of cerebral stroke located by CT/MRI,and cognitive impairment was analyzed with 7 items(ORI,EF,NAM,MEM,ATT,LANG,ABS) of MOCA.Results(1) Stroke locus in frontal lobe, temporal lobe, parietal lobe, occipital lobe, thalamus and basal ganglia had correlation with obvious cognitive function impairment(all P

OBJECTIVE: To standardize the management on test of hospital preparations to ensure the quality of preparations. METHODS: The Access database and Word application of in Microsoft Office automatic groupware were integrated organically using VBA programming, and the data management system suitable for hospital preparation test was designed. RESULTS: The print files of various primary records and reports related to testing work exhibited beautiful page and uniformed format. Testing data of preparations were included into data base by computer recording, which facilitated data inquiry and data processing related to quality of hospital preparations. CONCLUSION: Due to this system, both the efficiency and quality of hospital preparation test work have been enhanced, which contributes to institutionalization and standardization of hospital preparation work.

OBJECTIVE: To determine Ginsenoside Rg1,Ginsenoside Re and Ginsenoside Rb1 in Yixin fumai granula by HPLC.METHODS: Samples were determined on a Diamond C18(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m).The mobile phase consisted of accetonitrile-water by gradient elution with flow rate at 1 mL?min-1,UV detection wavelength at 203 nm,column temperature at 25 ℃ and sample size at 10 ?L.RESULTS: The linear ranges of Ginsenoside Rg1,Ginsenoside Re and Ginsenoside Rb1 were 0.645~6.450 ?g(r=0.999 8),0.54~5.40 ?g(r=0.999 7) and 0.605~6.050 ?g(r=0.999 9),respectively;the average recoveries were 100.59%(RSD=2.03%),98.70%(RSD=1.46%)and 98.99%(RSD=1.19%),respectively.CONCLUSION: The method is sensitive, simple and accurate, and it can be used for the quality control of Yixin fumai granula.

Objective To investigate the hemodynamics and structural effect of rat endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) transplant on pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) induced by monocrotaline(MCT) in rats. Methods EPCs were identified and marked.Twenty-one days after injection of EPCs,the pulmonary hemodynamic parame- ters, average pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP),right heart index were determined. The vascular endothelial cells and pulmonary vascular structural changes were verified by fluoresccuse microscope. Results Compared with the model,EPCs treatment(n=10) decreased mPAP significantly (mPAP,EPCs:25.9?0.7 mmHg vs model group:29.3?2.2 mmHg,P

Objective To describe the CT and MR imaging features of hepatic inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor(IMT).Methods The CT(n=12)and MRI(n=2)findings of pathologically proved hepatic IMT in 12 patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results All the tumors of the 12 patients were solitary and located in right hepatic lobe.Six tumors were solid and 4 tumors were solid-cystic.The other 2 tumors were periportal soft-tissue infiltration. The tumors appeared as solid or solid-cystic hypodense mass on CT images. The lesions were dark in T1-weighted sequences and slightly bright on T2-weighted sequences. There was homogeneous or inhomogeneous moderate to significant enhancement in solid portion of the tumors.Honeycomb-like enhancement was demontrated both in the peripheral part and at the intratumoral septa of the solid-cystic mass. Conclusion CT and MRI can provide helpful information for the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of hepatic IMT.
